How to Restrict User to View but Not Print a Document

Dear All,
I'm actually wonder is there a way where SAP can restrict users for instance they are able to view the PO, but unable to print it out. Is there a function or a query for such restriction? Please advise.

I am begineer in DMS. I am not able to understand how to restrict user to make any changes to a word document attached any DIR or any object link.
Ex: I have a created a DIR attaching a word doc to equipment master.
However, the user is still able to make changes to that word document usign CV03 tcode. I am sure most of you might have faced this problem. Please respond.
We are using SAP 3.1i version. It is very old version.

The task that you have mentioned could be accomplished by setting up a status network for your document type. While setting up the status network, SAP has defined statuses which could potentially lock objects and fields corresponding to that status type.

I am not aware of 3.0i but you can navigate to customisation --> Cross Application Components --> Document Management --> Control Data --> Define Document Types --> Click on a doc type and go to
define doc status.
Here if you define a document with status type S the object is essentially locked for editing.

How to restrict users in viewing CRM_DNO_MONITOR?

I want to restrict the users in the transaction code CRM_DNO_MONITOR. I tried it by creating a variant and then assignin that variant to the users via role. Also i tried using SE93 by creating another transaction code for the variant.
The problem is that when the user tries to run the transaction he is able to run it successfully but the output is BLANK or now rows returned even if I do not give any filtering criteria in the variant.
Am i missing anything?
It would be helpful if anyone can gimme exact steps for doing the same or any other method.
i want to restrict the users (message processors) for there respective module.
Please help me, this is very important as delivery time is near for the solution manager server.

Hi,
You can restrict the users from viewing crm_dno_monitor by removeing the access to that T code from the role and giving only the t-codes S_SMC_47000002(up to S_SMC_47000008).
With that role they will be able to access only the tickets assigned to them.

SM58 - How to restrict users from viewing all the idocs?

Howdy,
The users want to be able to use SM58 to view any idocs that have failed. Unfortunately they currently can access the IDOCS of all countries, in addition to their own country. Does anyone know how we could restrict them?
Or if there another transaction that we could ask them to use?

How come I can see my div in design view but not in live view

Hi,
I have a div ID called "portfolio" that I can see in design view but not live view or on a browser. It's a little pink square and I want that square round also.
I ran it through validator. It picked up some things in the style.css which I changed and the boilerplate.css that I did not. Because I thought DW auto creates code for boilerplate because I don't enter that code myself.
It's also rejecting a lot of webkit code but this seems like standard webkit code that works elsewhere on the page.
BTW: at what point does this brutal hand coding pay off in money and less heartache when Wordpress looks cleaner and is so much easier to use? I feel like I barely know HTML or CSS in terms of translating vision to reality and with all-browser functionality after months and months of on-line classes. How long are the pros at it till they reach a watershed point?

The top:-300 is putting that div above the top of the browser viewport. Fix that and you'll see the div.

Recently the domain controllers have been migrated from Windows Server 2003 to Server 2008 R2.
Since this account requires extremely strict environment, we need to figure the solution for restricting the users from access anything locally.

explorer.exe is blocked already, but users are able to enter the Windows Explorer by clicking on the name which is visible on the Start Menu.

You cannot block explorer.exe when you do not replace the shell - the
desktop you see effectively IS explorer.exe...

I hope u had gone to the screen fields which u want them not to be editable. So there u select all the fields contents which u do not want to to be changed and check the boxes with W.content and Display and save it. Once evrything is done u have to activate the particular transcation going in to the standard variants and put the name and click the activate button.

We can get the Program whether this is running in background or not then we need to use SY-BATCH, if the SY-BATCH is set to X then the program is running in Background,
so in the INITIALIZATION event, you can use this SY-BATCH and check the User names, and give the error messsage which you want to restrict

My Javascript works in Dreamweaver Live View, But Not On The Server

I set up a javascript function to set the focus to the first field in a form as the page loads. It works fine in Dreamweaver's Live View, but not on the local or remote servers. Here's the code:
In the heading I have the following function:

EUREKA! (and OOOPPPPSS!) I found the problem (and I thought javascript was case sensitive - according to the tutorial, it's supposed to be).
Here's apparently wha hoppen. The first field in the form is the person's first name, but it's also a SPRY validation field. I gave the actual field the name and id of "firstname", and the SPRY validation the name "FirstName", figuring that scripts would be case sensitive. In fact, when I first inserted the SPRY object, I tried to name it "firstname" also, but it wouldn't let me, so I capitalized the first letters, and it accepted that; that made me feel that this is OK. Here's the entire field's code:          <label>First Name:

I accidentally tripped over the answer when I started using the Dreamweaver's Edit>Find Next search to see if I had something else named "firstname", and I found that it located every permutation of that word (e.g. firstname, FirstName, FIRSTNAME etc.). Having seen that, I tried changing the "name=" and "id=" to "fstname, and the same corresponding change in the javascript, and VOILA! it worked. That leaves me rather curious about this alleged "case sensitivity" thing. I get the impression that it IS case sensitive, except when IT'S NOT. How does this work, and how do I know when it is and isn't?

Unless you are attempting to download a sizable file, 2.7 GB should be more than enough to continue fucntioning. Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray BEFORE doing the reset.
