How to retain data in Delta after extraction

Hi Experts,
We are suppose to extract delta from same datasource for multiple cubes ... from the source system only ... now after we extract delta for cube A, there is another cube B which is suppose to extract delta from the same datasource at different times, is there any setting that we need to do to retain delta after extraction of first delta... so I can use it for another cube ...

HI,
DTP will satisfies your requirement.
DTP will update delta data with respect to target.
Get delta upto PSA and update it to targets using Delta enabled DTPs.
U can create number of delta DTPs with respect target.

Your solution is perfect if the UIX beans on the page do not have BC4J binding with a VO attribute, otherwise, Sumit's soution is appropriate.

Urgent-How to retain data in main page after returning from personalize pag

Hi,
i have a query,
Like if I have a region 'CertificationRN' when I run the page a link stating “Personalize Table: (CertificationRN)” appears above the Region
Now when I enter some data in this region, and then click on 'Personalize Table: (CertificationRN)’ link, personalize page appears.
On personalize page when clicked on “Return to Application’ it returns to the previous page, but the data which I had entered in the region is lost.
i.e. I get empty Textboxes as they where just after running the page.
What should I do to retain the data in the region?

Shilpa in that case personlization links should not be shown to business users, using profile option
1)Personalize Self-service Defn (FND_CUSTOM_OA_DEFINTION)
2)FND: Personalization Region Link Enabled
(FND_PERSONALIZATION_REGION_LINK_ENABLED)
, then where does the question comes of them clicking personalize link.

How to retain data in text boxes after submit?

Hi all,
I have the following problem:
I have a dynamic form with a combo box that choosing an option causes textboxes to show up.
The problem is - every time I press the submit button, no matter if the validation succeeded or not, the data in the textboxes and the combo box is being reset.
I tried to save the data in temporary variables in the javascript section, but with no success.
How can I prevent this behaviour?

For Loop - How to retain data generated inside even if prematurely termination by user?

I have a loop that executes x times and each time generates a unique data point. If I wanted to give the user the ability to stop the loop before it finishes, an eventually save the data, how can I keep a hold of the data that has been generated up to that point? If I put an array outside of a loop the data doesn't get filled in until after the loop is complete, and an array inside of the loop only retains one data point for some reason.
Please keep in mind that I am relatively new to LabView so would appreciate fully explained answers.

PTP camera - how to retain date/time stamp on photos [Gnome]

I have a USB PTP Camera that comes up in Nautilus under "gphoto2://[usb:001,007]/DCIM" I can copy/paste the photos off the thing to ~ but the date/time stamp gets changed to the present. How can I copy them over retaining the original date/time stamp?

By using the exif info I suppose.

Set the file timestamp according to the Exif create timestamp in addition to renaming the file (overrides -k). This option is only used with the 'rename' action.

How to view data in SNC after getting transferred from ERP

Hi all
I have transferred material ,vendor, customer ,scheduling agreement ,demand from ERP to SNC system.
Now I want to view this demand in SNC. What I have done is in SNC is I opened supplier view.
In supplier view, I opened SMI monitor. Now when I click on F4 help of product I am not able to view the material
which I had transferred. Same is the case with location.
I know that in SNC, in order to view data following assignment is required.
Material  Location  Business Partner ( Org ) --- > BP ( Person )  User.
Now I have assigned Material to location .
Location to BP ( Org ).
BP ( org ) to BP ( Person ).
BP ( Person ) to user.
But still I am not able to view the data in F4 help ( For SMI overview screen ).
Next I learnt about Selection modes in SNC.I think I need to assign selection mode u201CPDNF_NEWu201D
To application ID of SMI overview screen in order to view Product and location in F4 help.
If I am correct than please let me know how should I proceed. Else please let me know

I have done what you mentioned but still could not see the data in SNC Web UI.
Let me explain once again.
Consider a case when Panasonic ( Supplier ) is managing inventory for Walmart ( Customer ).[ VMI scenario ]
Now
Step 1 : Walmart will create Material,Location,SA ,demand in his ERP.
Step2 : Master data with demand will get transferred to from customers ERP system to SNC system.
I can see Product and location by SNC -- > Master data -- > Product/Location.
Till this point everything is fine.
Next I have done following.
Assign my user to Business Partner of type org ( Customer ).
Location is assigned to Business partner.( Customer ) as material will be shiped to customer location.
Location is assigned to model 000
Material is assigned to Location and Planning version 000.
Now logically assignement is as follows.
User -- > BP --> Location --> Material.
Now when I go to customer view ,in product and location,I should be able to see my product and Location.
But I am not able to see.
Could you help where I am going wrong.

Hi I hope someone can help me?
It seems I must have changed the settings of synchronisation with PC Suite, because it suddenly deleted quite a bunch of contacts from my phone!
Before (unfortunately long ago) I know I synchronised by combining both the PC content and the Phone content.
Is there a detailed report to get anywhere in the depths of either phone or PC showing not only names, but also the numbers of the contacts deleted?
I am totally frustrated and could like to eat my phone .....
PLEASE anyone - is there any help?

If you search on the web, there are software programmes which claim to recover deleted data from the phone memory.The extent of success of this recovery will depend on the amount of data saved on your phone after deletion, which gradually ovewrite deleted data and become permanently deleted.You can always contact SE for more information and advice. I don't know about recovering deleted data from PC suite.

How to concatenate date and time after a logical file in application server

Hi Experts ,
I have a requirement that goes like this : I have a job that runs parallelly with 10 different variants at the same time. Each job will write the data into a file in the application server, since the jobs run parallelly there is a chance of the file being over-written and hence we have decided to concatenate time and date at the end of the file so that the file does not get over-written. Can someone please let me know how to incorporate this change.

Use CONCATENATE functionality.
A sample code snippet for your reference :-
CONCATENATE p_path text-202 c_9 p_name c_9 lv_fcount c_9 lv_date
c_9 lv_time INTO gv_file.

How to retain page Scroll position after post back

Hi,
I have some long jsf web pages that requires user to user vertical scroll to access some fields. Now the problem I face is that, there are some fields at the bottom of the page, on click of which i need to do a postback, call valueChangeListner in the backing bean and populate some values in subsequent fields. And when the page reloads after the call to valueChangeListner, the top portion of the page is displayed to the user which is a little annoying. I want to display the portion of the page that the user was accessing before.

Several ways:
1) Populate the fields entirely clientside.
2) Use Ajax to populate the fields.
3) Use Javascript during onload to scroll to the desired position/element.

3.     I read somewhere that Generic Data Source does not have Setup Table. I thought that you have to have Setup Table in order to load transaction Data otherwise you will lock the Application Tables. Where am I going wrong im my thinking please?

Full Update - Initialize Delta Process (without Data Transfer) u2013 Delta Update or
Initialize Delta Process (with Data Transfer) u2013 Delta Update

Once you create Datasource for A flat file extraction then it is file source system specific hence you cont change to Application table source Data source
In info package you can change the source as application server instead of desktop no need to change the DS

When we don't find any standard extractor then we can go for Generic(if i want information sales along with finance information in a data source then generally we dont get standard one hence we can go for generic DS)

for Delta capturing you can use
Timestamp(if the table has time stamp filed so it can stamp the last changed record in that table hence it is easy to get delta based on the time stamp)
Calday- (If the table doesn't have the Timestamp filed then search for Calday where you can stamp the delta based on the date when documents are changed )
Numericpointer : If the table doesn't above both then we go for this option where you can the numeric value change stamp )

Generic datasource nothing but we extracting data directly from the database table without any interface between the application/systems

Once you add the new field to structure(DS) you will get the data as on date onwards not historical data hence what is the concept of setup table ( delta records come from the Delta Que not from the setup table )
If you want histaric data to new field then you need to setp table deletion ...etc...

How the master data delta works

i want to know how the master data delta (ale pointer) works? what the principle is? for example, the 0asset_attr datasource has 20 fields, any of the 20 fields changes can triger the delta? if i enhance 3 fields to the asset master data, does the 3 fields change can trigger delta?

Application Link Enabling (ALE) change pointers are configured and used to be able to trigger processing of an outbound process, such as data extraction, and determine only those Master Data records that have changed. This is all done without the need for a program being required to determine deltas.
SAP delivered program, RBDMIDOC runs periodically and deterlines if change pointers have been updated for specific message types. New or modified Master Data records are automatically initiated via ALE. RBDMIDOC references the correct IDoc program for any given type via TBDME (the TBDME table also cross-references message types with the ALE change pointer table) so that the data goes where it should and is processed accordingly. Tcode BD60 is the interface in SAP for maintaining the TBDME table.
When a change is made to the standard content Master Data record, the delta will be identified. Any columns that have been enhanced to the Master Data will not be identified as a delta because enhancements are a post-extraction process and only get updated after the standard content structure has been populated.

Data with delta extraction.

Hi Gurus
I want a small clarification regarding data with delta extraction.
If today the data is extracted from r/3 system with delta to ODS object and the data is activated and datamarted to another ODS and Cube.
Now if tomorrow the same records had changes how will the old data will be changed i.e in cube if we compress the old data what is the scnerio.
Can anyone explain in detail starting from Delta queue to change taking place at cube.

Raju,
Don't worry about compression of Cube... Even if you do delta after compression, nothing to worry about Data. Next time you compress it, it will Make 1 record.
Assume...
Initially... in ODS Document 45000001 Item 0001 qty 10 Amount 20
in Cube Document 45000001 Item 0001 qty 10 Amount 20 (After compression)
Qty changed to 5...
In ODS Document 45000001 Item 0001 qty 5 Amount 10. This record will create 2 delta records to Cube.
that is looks like this...
Document 45000001 Item 0001 qty -10 Amount -20 Record mode ' X' (Before Image)
in ODS Document 45000001 Item 0001 qty 5 Amount 10 Recordmode ' " (After Image)
Finally cube contains...
Document 45000001 Item 0001 qty 10 Amount 20
Document 45000001 Item 0001 qty 10 Amount -20
ODS Document 45000001 Item 0001 qty 5 Amount 10
If you compress cube... you will endup with last record.
