How to retreive and display return value from BAPI

Hello,
I am using SUP to create a sales order application. In my MBO I have a create operation which calls a BAPI to create a sales order. How can I retrieve the return value (saled doc number) and display it on a screen and display it as an Alert of BB application.

The problem I'm facing is, for example, if I create a record it gets saved in the MBO table and the record successfully gets created in SAP as well after a sync. But when I create another record and sync, the previously saved record in MBO table also gets executed so I'm getting duplicate entries in SAP.
Have you or anyone faced this problem?
Any response is appreciated. Please let me know if I'm not clear, I realized its a complicated scenario.

I am making an applcation using SUP 2.0, and this application make an user to get leave history using a Mobile System from SUP.
I've created the MBO as Attributes using the BAPI: BAPI_LEAVE_HISTORY.
This BAPI has some parameters IN and OUT.
Input parameters are Employee Id and date.
The parameter OUT is a List that retreives the employee leave history.
Anyone has an Idea or example how to retreive the output from BAPI and displaying the output on a screen.

I am doing a project on a Pulse Oximeter and i am trying to read and display the signal from my PIC Microcontroller on Labview? How do i go about doing it? I am using the PIC16F877 and also making use of the USART?

Hi Ashwin,
It is a good idea to first be able to communicate with the microcontroller using some sort of serial communication software such as "HyperTerminal" or "Procomm", etc. Refer to MicroChip's recommendations on this.
Once that works, then you are ready to use LabView.

You probably received a development kit. They usually have a readily available interface. It's been a long time since I played with the PIC, but I seem to remember that you need to program the serial communication driver (as well as at least a bootloader) to get the serial communication going. The driver contains the necessary protocols so that you PC can have a machine conversation with the target (PIC).
It sounds like a fun & interesting project. Please avoid to have replies to your personal email. By having the answers posted to this thread, you will get much more support and advice.

Hi Ashwin,
I am not familiar with the PIC Microcontrollers, but I am assuming you mean that you have the microcontroller sending out serial data that you want to read on another computer with LabVIEW. Please let me know if this is incorrect.
What type of data is coming out of the serial port? Is it ASCII, or binary? The reason I ask this is that the serial communication in LabVIEW is done through a protocol called VISA, which uses ASCII data to send and receive. You can later convert this data into whatever form you need, but this is what it is designed to read and write.
You can check the settings such as baud rate and data bits in a configuration utility called Measurement and Automation Explorer, or MAX. When you open up the MAX interface, you can expand the Devices and Interfaces entry on the left, and then expand the Ports entry to see your serial port. When you highlight this port, select the Port Settings tab at the bottom of the window, and you can see what the current settings are, and change them if you need to. You can also set these parameters in LabVIEW using the VISA Configure Serial Port VI.
You can also test communication in MAX by right clicking on the correct port and choosing Open VISA Session. Then choose the Basic I/O light blue tab, and then go to the Read tab. When you click execute, it should read in what is coming from the serial port. This will allow you to verify that the correct information is coming in before even trying to acquire the data in the LabVIEW environment.
In LabVIEW, the best resource to use the Basic Serial Write and Read example program that ships with LabVIEW. By examining the block diagram of this program, you will be able to see the basic programming flow of serial communication in LabVIEW.

How to get both, the ResultSet and Output (return value) from Oracle Stored Procedure

Hi! I am doing a conversion from MSSQL to Oracle with C++ and MFC ODBC. Any comment is appreciated!! I have Oracle 8i and Oracle ODBC 8.1.6 installed.
My question is how to retrieve the return value AND ALSO the resultSet at the same time by using Oracle function without modifying my souce codes (except puttting mypackage. string infron of my procedure name, see below).

yes, it is exactly what i want to do and I am using Oracle ODBC driver.
I tried using procedure with 1 OUT var fo numeric value and the other IN OUT ref cursor var instead of function, but error occurs when I called it from the application. It give me a memory ecxception error!!

Poplist and displaying corresponding values from the database table

I have a poplist in a control block, the values of which are populated using a procedure. This is called in when-new-form-instance.
This part works fine and values are filled in the poplist when form is opened..
The datablock is based on a view. 3 columns from the view are selected to be displayed.
Also the databock is filled with all values (for selected columns)
Now when the poplist value is changed, I need the values in the datablock to be changed as well, but this is not happening.
In my when-list-changed trigger, I have:
go_block('datablock');
execute_query;Please tell , where and what should I add to display the datablock values as per the poplist value.
i.e, something like,
select col1,col2,col3 from <view> where col4 =:control.col4
Note:I tried in the where clause property of the block, but then nothing is displayed in the datablock

This does not work , either..
Before, when I changed the values from the list, it was still displaying same data on datablock always(all records)
Now when I give this code,data is displayed in datablock only once(first time when the form opens)
I have defined the Query data source type property on data block as "Table" but infact this datablock is based on a view..is this correct?
Anything else I could try?

and jsp named myjsp.jsp
now i want to access(import) this myapplet.class from jsp
also i want to display this applet from this jsp
i am able to do either thing but not both
so please help me it is so urgent and important for me bcoz

How do I get the return value from an executable?

I'm running an external executable from dbms_scheduler but how do I get the exit code from the program run or any screen output?

In the additional_info column of schedulerjob_run_details there should be something like
job of type EXECUTABLE failed with exit code: Operation not permitted
"Operation not permitted" is the error code (as translated by the errors header file for that platform).
In releases 10.2 and up there may also be a line in the additional_info
STANDARD_ERROR="Error text here"
This gives the standard error messages output by the application. There is no way to get the standard output of the application.

How to get and display voltage value in Labview?

First a little background:
I am a college student doing an internship at a university and my project for the summer involves load cells. I am planning to use LabVIEW as both a multimeter and a calculator that would convert the voltage given off by the load cell into the force exerted on the load cell.
Now here comes the situation:
I have gotten everything hooked up and the load cell is working fine when using a standard multimeter. The data acquisition card is also working fine (The dac is the Measurement Computing USB-2416) as it was reading the same voltages as the multimeter. So all that was left is to put a numerical indicator and use some block code to send the voltage amounts to the indicator.
But the problem is: I simply do not know how to make the proper coding and the Internet is of no help to me on this subject.
My first thought is to do something using AIn() like the first attached picture show, but that resulted in an error stating:
"This function can not be used with this board."
Which is odd, for I am sure this is the right function to get analog readings from the dac.
Then I do something like the second picture, which does not produce an error, but it does produce a value of 255, which is obviously not correct.
At that point, I went on the Internet to get some answers, only to return with no answers at all.
And now, I turn to you guys to help me, for I have a single big question:
Which blocks/code should I use to obtain a voltage from a dac like the Measurement Computing USB 2416 I am using?
Summary of details:
The DAC I am using is the Measurement Computing USB-2416
The DAC is loaded with the latest drivers and Instacal was used as well
The LabVIEW I am using is LabVIEW 2012 version 12, 32 bit.
I got ULx and Universal Library for LabVIEW installed.
The operating system is Windows 7 working on a desktop that is a few years obsolete.
With that being said, can you guys help me out, please?

If you installed the entire Measurement Computing MCC-DAQ CD, you will have installed the ULx for NI LabVIEW. It comes with a bunch of examples. It makes sense to open those examples, and use them as the starting point.

Call Web Service and display return values in table

Hi all,
I am calling a self-implemented web service with visual composer. The webservice returns the following data shown below.
Each item like carID, carBrand etc. should be displayed in an output table.
The problem is, that he doesn't display any data at all. Is there a problem with the webservice data which is returned or do I have to do some further settings in visual composer?

the webservice is working well, trying to test it with webservice navigator.
He also returns the correct number of rows (because there appears slider beneath the table output and I also counted the rows), but there is no data displayed in visual composer.
I have got no further ideas, what the problem is...

If your installer is requiring some process it invokes to return a particular value on failure, then the installer is seriously broken. There are a bazillion commands your installer could invoke, and any of them could fail, which in turn could invalidate the entire install process, and any of them could return any value on failure. The only value that's consistent (in my experience) is that zero means success and non-zero means failure, with specific non-zero values being different in different programs.
About the only control you have over the JVM's exit code is that if your main method completes without throwing an exception, the JVM will have an exit code of 0, and if main throws an exception (either explicitly or by not catching one thrown from below), it will be non-zero. I'm not even sure if that's guaranteed, but I would guess that's the case.
EDIT: I'm kind of full of crap here. If you're writing the Java code, you can call System.exit(whatever). But nonetheless, if your installer requires certain exit codes from any app--java or otherwise--you have a problem.
