How to retreive forgotten apple id when all we know is persons name?

Hello,
A family member has completely forgot their apple id. They think that they set it up as an @apple email address but they cant remember. We have tried the other email accounts that they have but none of them work. Whats furstrating is that we cant even get through to the security questions section to retereive the apple id. Is there anyway we can get the apple id back when we dont know any of the details that were set up on it apart from the persons name?
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Apple community.
Assuming this is not the first time you have used your Apple TV
You might try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Also try restarting the router.
If the problem persists, try a restore, you may want to try the previous procedures several times before doing this.
If this is a new Apple TV, it may also be that your network router is not allowing access to the timeserver, check that your router allows access over port 123.

Connect in recovery mode and restore, you'll get the option to reset the passcode during this process:

Did the email contain your name? Never click on a link in an email like that and do no enter any personal info after clicking in an email.
There have been quite a few people getting these emails. They are a phishing attempt to get your personal info.

I set it up on my "upstairs computer" and then came to my "downstairs computer" to synch and I can not get into the account because of the above password problem. I write down my passwords. I must have mistyped it or mis written.

I agree with the Thomas, in that I think you have mucked up your settings in the AOL account. Your username should be something like - [email protected] Your password is whatever you use as the password.
You could try deleting the account and start over again. Here is a link to a "how to set up AOL email " on the iPad. It is 4 or 5 step process and just make sure that you are entering the correct information in the correct fields in the set up. Among my 4 email accounts on my iPad, I have 2 AOL accounts. I have no problems at all and it was really very easy to set up. There is no reason why AOL email should not work on your iPad.
To repeat and emphasize - Just make sure that you are entering the correct information in the appropriate fields as I think that's where you are making your mistakes.
If I had my choice, I would probably chuck the AOL accounts as well, but I have all the spam filters set as high as I can on the server, and it has cut down tremendously on the spam. Unfortunately - we set up AOL accounts at my workplace years ago and I really hesitate to change them now, so I continue on with these, but like I said, they work fine and they were very easy to set up.

How do I sync my iPhone when all my playlist music is in the cloud? on iTunes Match?

I just recently lost my old iMac where I had all my music stored on the hard drive. thankfully I backed everything up in iTunes Match. Now I've gotten a new MacAir and all my music and playlists show up on iTunes as they did on my old computer, except all 449 songs are now in the cloud and no on my hard drive. I've downloaded 5 new songs onto my MacAir and added them to my playlist so that I could sync them on my iPhone. However, when I go to sync my iPhone, it says there's only 5 songs I can sync, and does not appear to be reading the other 449 songs stored on the cloud in iTunesMatch. How do I sync my iPhone with all the songs on my iTunes playlist, and not just those songs stored on the hard drive?

How to 'fail-over' CSS11503-AC when ALL 5 Reals Servers (Services) die

Hi all,
Could anyone out there possibly provide an idea/config, of how it is possible to'fail-over' a CSS11503 set-up in Active/Standby mode with "ASR" enabled when:-
- ALL your real servers(Services) for a particular VIP 'die'/OR nic is faulty.
- So NOT just 1 of the real servers, but when ALL 5 are not reachable, I need to 'failover'
My initial thought are to use the "critical reporter" or "critical service" to report back to the 'active' CSS.
Anyone who has done this scenario before , please advise..

After a little tsting, I set the following config in the lab and it works but is different to yours. I cannot seem to configure the servive as "type local". When I input 'type ?; I get options such as nci-direct-return, nci-info-only, proxy-cache, redirect etc...etc..NO 'local'...!!

How do I go back to forgotten apple ID that all apps were purchased under?

I tried to sync another new iPhone 4 to my computer to help out someone. The computer seen it as a replacement for my phone. The changed apple ID is now what my apps are under. I'm guessing that's the problem anyway. So how do I recover my iTunes account and apps from this other apple ID. I have changed my ID and removed all apps from phone then reinstalled them. I have restored the phone. Power down and up. Hard reset. Changed all kinds of things in settings. Whenever I try to update an app it says cannot connect to iTunes store. But I can purchase any app I want. I believe it's iTunes account problem and not my iPhone.
I'm hoping to get help here. The express lane techs told me to do again what I already had told them I had done before. Plus the generic thanks for using iTunes.

Try plugging the iPad into a computer then logging onto the apple account on iTunes or App Store. Hope this helps.

You are out of luck, then. You cannot track it, Apple cannot help you (btw, this is not Apple here.) You can't set up Find My Phone after the iPad is gone.
Notify the police. Change all your passwords. Buy a new iPad.
Perhaps your insurance will cover the loss for you, so speak with your insurance agent.

Does anybody have an idea as to why my recently updated Apple TV does not sync my podcasts from my Apple iD. It's supposed to, it's not doing it, and it's very annoying.
This is only half the aggravation; the other half is that all my podcasts have been deleted automatically twice(no apparent reason other than perhaps a bug in iOS 7.0.2 / 11A501).
This one I have managed to comeup with sort of a temporary fix while Apple fixes this: I made a copy/backup of the "Podcasts" folder inside the "iTunes Media" which in turn is in the "iTunes" folder Within the "Music" folder in my Mac. When my Podcasts are deleted, I just drag the backup "Podcasts" folder I created into the My Pocasts in iTunes.
Apple please fix it.
