How to retrieve data in a DataForwardAction

JDev 9.0.5.2 ADF UIX and Struts
Scenario:
I have a UIX input page with 2 view objects (VO1-updates an entity object, VO2-sql viewobject, no entity).
I have a Save button with a DataForwardAction event to handle validating, inserting data and committing the data. I need to obtain the VO2 fields in java and insert them into a table. My problem is that both VOs reside on the same page (VO1 is an input form and VO2 is a read only table where only 1 column is editable). The VO2 table looks like this (Function is readonly and Count is editable):
Function Count
Windows
Unix
Other
The user can enter a count for each function and I need to be able to get the counts entered to insert into a table in Java. Both the input form and the table are in the form tags but I never see the table data in any parameters so I don't know how to get the count data from the page.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

about the submit button that calls the DataForwardAction, is the submit button named "event_Show" and execute the form with Action of your DataForwardAction? or maybe there's other way to do it?
If you are using ADF and Uix you need to add nameTransformed="true" to
table
tag and be sure to remove readOnly="true" from your textInput field:
