How to retrieve forgotten password?

I have an ipod touch 4th generation and have forgotten the password.
It was disabled after trying more than six times to access correct code.
Now it is unlocked after I have connected it to itunes...but is still asking me for password and I have entered 3 wrong ones so far.
What can I do to retrieve the password?

Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

Background:
I've set up openldap with the ppolicy overlay. The overlay works as expected, but after a bind operation I need to get hands on the ppolicy response.
This can be done manually (with shell commands like ldapsearch) by specifying '-e ppolicy' (general extension).
But how can i get hands on response from my LoginModule? Code:
env.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, userDN);
env.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, inputPassword);
ctx = new InitialLdapContext(env, null);
..is it possible to use ExtendedRequest or UnsolicitedNotificationEvent when the creation of the context throws a NamingException (the bind operation fails due to a locked account).

Hi,
I am having the exact same problem in that OpenLDAP is implementing the password policy people login and everything is fine, but then the password expires and bang they are out. I would like to be able to give my users some warning to say that their password will expire in x days or that your password has expired you have X logins left.
Anyway I have tried the methods suggested here and using ctx.getResponseControls() will either give me null or an array with the exact same objects that I passed in with new InitialLdapContext. What I have did work fine when we used the old jar libraries but we moved to JNDI.
Any help would be appriciated

that no longer boots. That configuration had the FTP addresses and
passwords of my web sites, some of which I can no longer find or
figure out (iComcast has switched to an entirely new system I hate
and that's the only help they provide).
Now I've installed Dreamweaver CS3 on another system (under
Windows XP Pro SP3) and I want to copy whatever configuration files
are necessary from that crashed system to my new CS3 installation
such that I can use that old site manager configuration as is (so
that I don't have to figure out what the FTP addresses, host
directories, and URL prefixes were).
What files do I have to copy from the old computer and where
do I put them on the new one? What other recommendations do you
have?

If the old box/drive will not boot up, you will have to put
the drive into a
different bootable box, then get an "offline" registry editor
that can read
the d or e or f or whatever drive and load in the registry
keys on that
drive that are the site def info.

You don't. If you can't remember it, you will have to restore your phone as a new device in iTunes to remove it.

The only way is by remembering it - it's not stored anywhere. If you can't remember it then you will need to connect the iPad to the computer that you normally sync to and you should then be able to reset the iPad and re-sync your content to it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212) - you may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
If you do it via a different computer then :
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.

I don't know of a way to retrieve the administrators password. Are you sure there
is one? I know how to change or reset it from the command line. Then you'll
know what it is :)
I did the following:
%JAVA_HOME%\bin\java -cp %WL_HOME%\WLS\server\lib\weblogic.jar weblogic.Admin
-adminurl localhost:8301 -username system -password patbumpus invoke -mbean Security:Name=myrealmDefaultAuthenticator
-method changeUserPassword system patbumpus password
You can also try -method resetUserPassword and you don't have to know the original
password.
There is a problem with changing the administrator's password. You need to update
the boot.properties file in the domain directory as well which you can do in a
sed script. If you don't, then the server won't boot. Also, there might be issues
with changing the administrator's password and then being able to start managed
servers. I had a problem, but didn't investigate enough to rule out user error.
This is supposed to be all fixed in WLS 9.x.
I know that I didn't answer your question, but maybe something was useful.
