How to retrieve N73 Backup?

Hello,
I lost my N73. Is there anyway to view the PC Suite backup files (such as photos, music and contacts) in MS Windows?
I will replace the phone soon with a new N73, N81 or 531 but for now I urgently need to access my contacts list if possible.

I have a time caspule that I use as my backup for Time machine.
My itunes folder is on an external drive and When I do my backups, I connect my external to my mac so that my itunes folder will be backed up.
When I do the back up, I know its backing up the external due to the size of the backup.
but if my external were to fail, how do I retrieve the back up of the external? From what I can tell the drive has to be connected to the mac when connecting to time machine to access the back up files for the external. But if the drive is dead, how do I retrieve my files?

budden10, please try this:
Disconnect the external drive to simulate it not working or having failed
Open Time Machine on your Mac and wait a few minutes for your backups to load fully
Go back in time and select a date when you were backing up the external drive
Now look at the Finder window and locate your Mac on the left side of the window under DEVICES
Click on your Mac
What do you see in the window there just to the right?

i have backed up my iphone on itunes then i deleted some files from the phone then i wanted to restore from itunes to retrieve those files back i pressed the restore backup button the phone restarted to find that the itunes overwritten the old backup with a new backup and restored that new backup although the icloud backup is turned on to prevent the itunes from backing up automatically ,,,now i lost the old backup and the files and i dont have it on the icloud too ....so i rly need help guys to get those files back or the back up ..plzz help me ..thx

MY wifi upload speed is low so all icloud back ups is the 1st ones when the total size was like 700 megabytes or sth.... So i guess i rly lost the new files and nobody learn for free xD.....i think the reason of the overwritten back up is that when i chose to restore the backup maybe the i tunes asked me to make a new back up b4 restoring and i didnt pay attention ...or simply i forgot and made a new back up!!!....but i dunno how i can be asked if i wanna backup before i restore an old back up !! Is that possible ? I have no time to try again hehe

I recently got a new phone a couple of months ago the 5, I had the 4 before. On my 4 I had text messages saved. I downloaded an application on my Mac to see if I can retrieve any ealier messages sent before i got the 5. For some reason the app had my phone on loading for a long time so I unplugged it from the computer to see if it would go back to normal but it didn't. So the computer made me restore my phone. Well when I restored it none of the messages were there and I lost all the messages that were saved on my phone. I seen in my phone that I had several backups.... my phone backups up everday when I plug it in at night to charge. Is there a way that i can see all my backups and pick the one that goes back the farthest to get my messages back? Please help... i had some really memorable times on my texts. thanks

If you can't get it to work, some other options are:

All of these are for medium to advanced users. You might save yourself a lot of headaches by just backing up your phone to iCloud as it is now, then restoring the older backup to see what's on it. When you're done, restore back to your iCloud backup.

You should be syncing calendars and contacts with your computer regularly. They will be in whatever program that you sync.
You should be importing all pics talen with iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera. They will be wherever you put them.
You should be transferring any itunes purchases made on your iphone to your computer regularly. They should be in itunes.

I backed up my laptop with LaCie and a friend then had it stored in cloud. Now I cannot backup again with LaCie as it cannot find latest disc.
What should I do?

If your friend backed up to 'the cloud', meaning an online service other than Apple's 'iCloud', you will have to go to the documentation or Support for whoever is running that particular service to find out what to do.

How do I retrieve the backup from my previous iPod to apply to my new iPod?

I attempted to retrieve the backup immediately, but it said that I needed to first set up my new iPod, then I could retrieve the backup. I synced the new Pod, so all of my music and apps have been transferred, but I cannot figure out how to return to the backup retrieval page.

Thanks Bro. I have backup. and I did the same thing twice but only 26 contacts appear on the device. Now again yesterday after your suggestion again I restored the device but the result was same. Then I thought a new thing. I restored the device one more time but after restoring I didn't configure the icloud account. Surprisingly all my old contacts are there in the device but those 26 contacts are not there. Now I will tell you how this must have happened? I had 3gs earlier. that was stolen 3 months ago. I put the device in lost mode. I purchased new iphone4. I restored with itune. All my data came back. After that I saved these 26 new contacts to my device which also saved in icloud but when I tried to backup on my pc it was not happening. the messege coming device disconnected. 2 days back my stolen device came online. Lost mode was activated by icloud. But what I think in between that time the other fellow must have deleted the phone contacts. And as per icloud also deleted the same. Only the 26 contacts which I saved in these 3 months remained in icloud. Now bro can u help me out? What I should do? I have 26 contacts in icloud and < 500 in my device. You should never try to sync your phone with more than one computer or you will lose your data. The pictures were not deleted because the sync process does not touch Camera Roll pictures (it only includes them during the backup step of the sync process).
If you had these voice memos on your phone when you last synced it to your first computer, and if you haven't synced to this computer since then, you could restore from the backup created during your last sync. This will replace the data on your phone with the data from this older backup so anything new will be lost. If you think that is the case, do not sync your phone again to the first computer prior to restoring from this backup or you will overwrite it and the backup will be lost. Instead, prior to connecting your phone to your first computer, open iTunes and disable automatic syncing by going to iTunes Preferences and on the Devices tab checking "Prevent...from syncing automatically". Then connect your phone and when it appears in iTunes on the left sidebar right-click on its name and select Restore From Backup and choose your last backup (containing your voice memos).
If you didn't have these voice memos on your phone when you last synced to your first computer, or if you have synced again to your first computer since losing your data, then your voice memos and other data are lost.

I have a LaCie external hard disk. I do not know how to retrieve photos from iphoto that have disappeared. I do not know how to use Time Machine

I have a LaCie external hard drive. I also have Time Machine. I somehow have "lost" almost all my 5,000+ photos from iPhoto 8.1.2. I would appreciate someone giving me directions on how to retrieve the photos from the external hard drive or Time Machine.
The last thing that I did that is different from my normal routine was to trash duplicate music tunes from iTunes. I cannot figure out how that would have caused my photos to disappear.

I remember being cautioned to never do anything with the iPhoto Library. Should I have clicked on the iPhoto Library and then Restore?
I do not know "how" items are being placed in the LaCie external drive, just that it shows a backup running about every hour. I have taken a snapshot of the Time Machine Preferences I would you to see. Maybe that would answer this question.
In March 2011 I had to have hard drive on my iMac replaced. I had been using a Seagate external drive for backups. However I was not using Time Machine. When the Apple guru was helping me restore all my files etc on the new hard drive he was not familiar with Seagate and recommended I purchase this LaCie and use Time Machine. I never had any problem retrieving items from the Seagate backup. It was very straightforward. As I mentioned previously, I just don't have a clue with the LaCie and Time Machine.
I hope this is not TMI.

After you restore from backup, you MUST sync to restore your iTunes content. No iTunes content is included in the iPhone backup. Your apps should be in your iTunes library, just sync them back to your phone. If for some reason your apps are not in your library, you can re-download them for free:

All of the data should be on your computer, simply sync it back.
If the update was done via iTunes on the computer, the first step in the process is a backup of the device.

I havent' took any backup of my notes in icloud. The moment I enter the password after restore my notes will be empty. The only option to get notes back is that after restore skip entering icloud password. But any time I enter icloud password anywhere again my notes will be empty. I have huge data saved in my notes. Apple need to look into this issues very seriously. This is the 5th time I restoring my iphone today just to get my note back.

My i phone 4s was stolen today. I need to know how to retrieve my photos from i cloud from i cloud, not my device because I don't have it!

My phone was stolen. All of my pictures that are important to me are on it on i cloud or at least should be. I do not have my phone because some jerk stole it, therefore need to know how to retrieve my photos that were streamed. Someone please help me. When I go onto i cloud there is no tab or application for me to click on related to photos. All I have the option of going to is: calendar, contacts, reminders and that's about it. Where are my pictures?!

You photos are only stored in the iCloud PhotoStream, or as an iCloud backup, which you can back up to a new device that has been signed on to the same iCloud account. There is no direct way to see photos that are in iCloud.
You would have needed to have backed them up to either iPhoto on your Mac, or to the Photos file on a PC.
