How to retrieve programs ( Z) or (Y)

hi all
i have a question here.
How to retrieve all the Z or Y objects which were copied from the standard objects(scripts,reports,smartforms etc) and modified according to cutom requirements.

Yes as others said, no way of knowing that whether it is cloned or newly created. However, if you guys are following some naming convention, it may help you. For example, just adding Z/Y while cloning the standard program will help to identify. I guess you are going to upgrade project.

When you go to SQ02, ente the infoset name and click the change button, then on the next screen, click Go To, Global Properties, notice here is the same dialog when you create the infoset, notice the radibuttons, notice the one for data retreival by program, I think this is what you are looking for, but as you can see here you will not be able to change it. I think you may have to re-create the infoset as well if you want to change this.

If you login to an SAP session and then create another session via the system menu option (not a second login), transaction SM04 will show two different values for the parameter:
modeinfo[n].context_id_uuid

Hi Pals,
How to retrieve data from SAP R/3 System to my third party software. I will make my query little bit more clear. There is a list of assets entered and stored in the SAP system. For example 3 mobile phones.
1) Mobile 1- Nokia
2) Mobile 2 - Samsung
3) Mobile 3 u2013 Sony
Now think I do not know what all assets is there. I have to retrieve the data and get it on my third party software. Just display the list of assets. Lets say SAP XI is also there. Now how will I map it and get the details.
Please give me step by step method.
N.B: Just to read the data from SAP database.
Please make the flow clear step by step.

Hi,
You can use RFC or ABAP Proxy to make synchronous call with SAP.
Under RFC or ABAP Proxy Program you can get the data from SAP tables. Direct access to SAP Database is not preferrable even if its possible.
The better way to go for RFC or PROXY.
You will send the request from Third party system and the it will be as input parameters from RFC/ Proxy it will response based on it.

I'm trying to access one rainbow iKey 2032 token in Java 1.5 (Windows Environment) using Sun PKCS#11 provider. Token is stored with certificate. There is no problem to logging into the token using java.

Myself and my girlfriend use the decipher textmessage program. She's on windows and I use the version for my macbook pro. It works cool and lets you save your text messages from your iphone to your computer. I've actually recovered a few deleted messages with it too which was helpful since I'm a laywer and needed them for work. Their site is:

I understand that if i know the data type of the result data object which i am going to get i can declare it my ABAP program and get the values....But i am developing a generic program which calls the various BRF+ functions based on the function id...So i am not aware what is the data type of the result data object....so is there a any way to handle this situation...Please advice...

I used the GET_DATA_OBJECT_STRUCTURE method of class CL_FDT_FUNCTION_PROCESS to get the data object structure...i am able to get whether it is an element or structure or internal table...
But is there any way to get the data type of the object...For example if it is going to be an element of type BELNR_D,is it possible to get the BELNR_D value in my program...Please advice...

Yes a BPM is required. The scenario is as follows:
Receive IDOC from R/3
Transformation using JAVA class mapping program
Switch statement evaluating target structure from JAVA class
               If supporting data required in other system Transformation using another JAVA class
               If supporting data required but not available - end process
               If no supporting data required continue
Switch statement to route output document
Evaluate Target Structure of JAVA class 1 to determine the type of output
.     If email Transformation step to form email for email adapter
     If Industry Standard output - Transformation step that uses another JAVA class
     Evaluate output from JAVA class 1 to determine vendor
     route to appropriate vendor through JAVA class 3 - this module takes the IDOC as input and outputs the industry standard document that will be routed to customer

Within each of our JAVA mapping programs we do additional processing by updating the database and writing to log files. Since there is a significant amount of work being done in the JAVA modules we have the "create new instance" checked in the transformation steps that are using JAVA mapping programs. How to do it ?

That is the bugger with generic (executable) functionality. When used for multiple requirements which are too far from each other then they break or the "lowest common denominator" calls the shots.
If this data is being uploaded from the application server, then why don't you just protect it there. The S_DATASET for that program context will not be very usefull, because it is generic.... so you can look into using S_PATH.

Again, this means that anyone who knows the generic password (or can display / debug the code) will be able to access the data.
A better variant of the same would be to create a symbolic service user, and prompt for that user's password before the data is downloaded. You can then use standard functions for prompting for passwords, which also update the lock counter.
=> If the password is locked due to incorrect logins, then the program is locked for this functionality as well.
=> You can periodically lock / unlock / change the access to the program, by administrating the service user in SU01.
=> Do not give this service user any authority at all - you only want to prompt for knowledge of the password, but not actually log the user itself onto the system. (see report RDDPWCHK for some example coding)
In German this is called "von hinten durch die brust", which means something like "unusual approach but still works anyway".

I would still protect the source data itself using unique authority to access it, and then control that.

Hi,
There is no version management for SapScript or Smartforms .
When you write "transport request in development which is not moved to quality" - was the transport ever released and exported from the development system? If yes, and if the "Transport files" are still available in "Transport directory" (or if the transport files were backed up and could be retrieved), the transport could be imported again. If the TR was not exported, you are out of luck, I believe...
I would not recommend you do it on your own even if you happen to have enough authorizations (consult with Basis and/or Transport Admin, if you have one in your organization). I would not recommend that it's imported on a development system or QA system, even if the transport contains no other objects - only the SapScript form in question. Import it on a "sand-box" that gets overwritten by system copy from time to time... Once the transport is imported, you should have the old version of SapScript in that system and could analyse the changes and perform manual merge.

I have the same problem. I have a program that start a gp process at runtime and I need to modify a notification Instance of an action, but when I try to find the action using processInstance.getChildrenInformation (), it returns an array with 0 elements.

How to retrieve Microsoft Office Product Key for Mac

Hi there, Hopefully someone might have a suggestion on how to retrieve the Microsoft Office Product Key for Office 2010 on Mac.
Scenario: Last month, Apple advised me my iMac hard drive may be faulty and would need replacing. That was done, I restored my iMac from Timeline backup and everything is dandy except I need the Product Key for Office to access any of my documents. I purchased the product online in my old job, that email address is now no longer valid and I have lost access to the email that the product key was emailed to me in. I am unable to retrieve the product key from Microsoft without buying a new copy.
I do have Office uploaded on my Macbook Air from the same download/product key, so I have access to the program on the laptop but not the iMac. Hopefully I can get the product key from the laptop somehow.
Any guidance or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks :-)

I too was having the same problem However, I could access both the menu bar and the dock by hovering my mouse over them so it wasn't a huge problem but I prefered having it there anyway. I was not in full screen mode and I could still go into full screen mode if I wanted to. I found the easiest solution was to just quit safai and restart it, but it might not work for you considering you couldn't access you menu bar either way.
I found this article that allows you to hide/show the menu bar and the dock through TextEdit (didn't work for me) http://www.mactricksandtips.com/2009/07/hide-the-menubar-or-dock-in-specific-app s.html It is pretty old so it might not work for lion and a bit risky if you don't know what you're doing so I wouldn't really recommend doing it this way.
And KSheppard, I know it's not really any of my buisness, but the way to get answers to a question isn't by insulting others and being quick-tempered. Even if you feel like you were insulted first, don't try snapping at people who aren't obligated to help you. Honestly, it just makes everything easier if everybody is cooperative and polite.
