How to retrieve system configuration?

Hi everybody! I want to install a new x86 Solaris version with the same configuration parameters of an existing Sparc Solaris version. Is there a command (from command line) to retrieve all the configuration parameters of an existing Solaris system?

Thanks for your reply! At the moment I haven't the permissions to do write operations on that machine. I need a command or a set of commands to generate a system report about configuration parameters of the existing operating system. Once I have it I want to replicate the exact configuration on the new machine. Thanks for your suggestions!

1. Research platform specific OS API to do whatever you want with video cards
2. Write C/C++ code to wrap the functionality in 1 into something looks closer to what you want to see in java
3. Write a class that models the functionality of 2 with native methods.
4. Write the native methods of 3 such that they call the methods of 2.
Note that steps 1 and 2 have NOTHING to do with jni nor java. So you start by looking somewhere else for the answers to that.

I need to retrieve some parameters from my JEE application (*.ear) my collegues will deploy soon on Netweaver 7.2
I found documentation about how to connect to the server with JMX, that works fine:

in system landscape
(1)create new system
(2)select SAP system using dedicated application server
(3)give system name and id
(4)finish
(5)open system and set following properties
     Connector
     - App. Host              : r3 server name
     - Gateway Host        :
     - SAP client             :
     - SAP System Name:
     - SAP System No.    :
     - Server Port             : 3200 (Default)
     - System Type
     - give system Alias
     User Management

How to retrieve the system used in an iview?

hello,
i'm currently having trouble retrieving the proper attribute of an iview to retrieve the system used by it.
it seem like the strings identifying the system in the iview differ in some iviews.
using either:
myIView.getAttribute(IAttriView.PORTAL_SYSTEM)
or
myContext.getAttributes("").get("System").get().toString()
produce errors.
while get("System") sometimes provides the correct system alias the attribute is none existant for other iviews where the string would be "Systemalias".
IAttriView.PORTAL_SYSTEM doesn't seem to work at all.
i did implement fail safe code if the attribute isn't present, however i don't know how to retrieve the system attribute without doing a case switch or something similar for all the different strings, which i would prefer not to do.
also, is there an easy way to retrieve all iviews which use a specific system without parsing the whole pcd and checking the attributes?

How Do I Create Default System Configurations for On- and Off-Dock?

I recently purchased a T510 laptop with WIndows 7 Professional 64-bit and a Series 3 minidock. I would like two create two default system configurations (namely specifying active montiors, screen resolutions, networking options, and power management). I'd also like the laptop to detect the presence or absence of the dock and automatically switch accordingly. How can I do this? Thank you.

How to Create Crystal System in the System Configuration

I am trying to integrate Crystal system in the Enterprise Portal.
When i am trying to create i am not able to see the Crystal Report System in the System list.
Please let me know how to configure (Intigrate) Crystal System in the portal and how to show the crystal report in the iview.

Hello,
You dont create a crystal system in System Configuration.
You create a normal SAP system. There are 2 properties: Host name and Path of Crystal Enterprise system. You give that there.

Run the EPM configurator, expand planning and select "Deploy to Application Server", if it is a distributed environment and planning is not on the same server as the WebLogic admin server you will need to start the Admin Server

Could not retrieve deployment system configuration

I use NWDS 7.1 and i want to deploy an external deployable archieve file,when i deploy , i get error says that "Could not retrieve deployment system configuration for ABP"
Before that, i made settings under SAP AS Java by adding new SAP system, giving hostname and instance number . I managed to add new SAP server successfully...
Is there another settings that i forgot..and settings of editon 7.1 is different from 7.0...because in 7.0 it ask me hostname and MESSAGE SERVER PORT..
What can i do ?

The problem I faced was related but just slightly different - solution is below. This is really only an issue if your AS Java server is on a different server than your NWDS and a firewall is active.
Error when trying to publish ConverterWeb demo project from local dev machine CE 7.2 Netweaver Developer Studio to server CE 7.2 AS Java was:

Issue is a firewall problem. Solution is:
1) remove default SAP AS Java from NW Developer Studio (Windows -> Preferences -> SAP AS Java
2) shutdown NWDS
3) open ports 50113 (port for instance 1), 50013 (port for instance 0), 50004 (deploy port) and 5000 (http for NWASJAVA) on the AS Java server.
4) open NWDS
5) add SAP AS Java in NWDS (Windows -> Preferences -> SAP AS Java: host - 192.168.1.16, instance - 1, Domain - Default
6) add SAP AS Java in NWDS (Windows -> Preferences -> SAP AS Java: host - 192.168.1.16, instance - 0, Domain - Default
7) publish ear.
8) navigate to: http://192.168.1.16:50000/ConverterWeb/
obviously you'll need to replace the internal ip with the ip of your server.
I think this firewall info is somewhere in the docs.

when I'm trying to list deployed components in the deployment perspective of my NW Developer Studio (7.2), I get the following error. It seems that the NW server is not reachable, but I had a look at the management console on the server - everything is running.
Exception occurred during the 'List Components' operation.
Cause:Could not retrieve deployment system configuration for CE1. Please check if the system is running.
