How to return to previous page

I have a form A. Once filled out, they should subnmit to
insert the data into a table. However, they can fill out the form
and not submt. There is a icon in the upper left that will take
them to another form B (comments) to fill out. If they submit form
B and insert form B data into a table, how do I return them to form
A, which is filled out but not submitted yet ?

Hi Olivia and I appologize for calling you "crazy house"
instead of "crazy horse" :)
In my opinion, you have to make it all one form or you will
loose your form variables when one is chosen versus the other. I
don't think there is any other solution. You can have multiple
buttons so it appears to be 2 forms to the user - but you
physically have to make it one single form. Your action program can
detect which button was hit and know which "virtual form: to
process. It can also save all the variables as URL variables or
session variable.
Hope this helps.

  • How to return to previous pages without going back one at a time

    I do a lot of work on ebay and have to return to previous searches or pages and I used to be able to have a button that would show all the previous pages and I could go down the list and click on it. The only option I have now is to go into history and it only shows recent pages and it's for ALL the tabs open. I want just the tab for ebay previous pages. For instance if I go to ebay sold and relist an item it takes me through the prompts and if I want to return to ebay sold I want a drop down showing that option. I no longer see one. This normally wouldn't be too much of an issue except that the ebay sold is on ebay.com and relist is on ebay.ca so I like to go back to the previous page instead of going to bookmarks, ebay, my ebay, sold etc to get there again. Too much work!!! thanks, Iris

  • How to return to previous page based on record number?

    Not sure if the subject of this is how i shoudl have worded
    it... but here
    is what i am looking for...
    which ever is the easiest to accomplish....
    currently when someone completes a form they are taken back
    to there main
    pool of records... in some cases there are over 100 records
    per location and
    the page is setup to display 20 records per page..
    So one case may be that i found the record i need to view and
    edit on page 3
    of 5. I click the record.. edit and submit.. i receive my
    confirmation that
    the changes were made and then redirected back to the records
    list. So if i
    want to see what the record looks like, i have to get to page
    3 again to
    view the record as it now displays on the list.
    So my question is how can i return the person back to the
    same page they
    found that record OR is there any easy way to display only
    the modified
    record first in the list and once they navigate away from
    that page the list
    is back in numerical order?
    Examples...
    Page 1 Page 2 Page 3
    2 6 10
    3 7 11
    4 8 12
    5 9 13
    I click on record # 11 to modify, currently after the
    modification im taken
    back to the main page#1 so would currently have to navigate
    to page 3 to
    view how it looks in the list.
    So what can i do to either take me back to page 3 on
    completion of the
    edit.... Or display the modified record at the top of the
    list on page 1
    while they are on that page.. but once that page is refreshed
    then its back
    to the way above in the example.....
    Page 1 Page 2 Page 3
    11
    2 6 10
    3 7 11
    4 8 12
    5 9 13

    Didnt realize my signature was turned off...

  • How do I prevent users from returning to previous pages in a PDF with fill-in-forms?

    I am creating a presentation in Adobe Acrobat Pro and there is a test at the end. I do not want users returning to previous pages to find answers. How do I do this?

    It can be done with a script, but it's not really a good way of doing it... The user can always close the file, re-open it and see the answers. They can also disable JavaScript and then do whatever they want. I suggest you think of another way of setting this up.

  • How can I return to previous page? There used to be an arrow in upper left side of screen that would allow this, but it has disappeared.

    I have the latest version of Firefox, 5.0 installed today, but no arrow in upper left part of screen that previously would let me return to previous page.

    can I somehow edit the location of where I can find all the sheets (right now they are on top of the page, and you can't see all of them listed at quick glance but must scroll/arrow through them)
    On my machine I just hit shift-command-j (the keyboard shortcut I assigned in System Preferences) and a list of the sheets in the current document pops up:
    I type a number from the list and jump immediately to that sheet. The hands never have to leave the keyboard.
    (This particular document had a sheet named for each month.  But the sheets in your document automatically will be listed instead.)
    This is done via a Jump to Sheet Automator Service (Dropbox download).  To install just doubleclick the .workflow package and (if needed) click 'Download Anyway' in System Preferences > Privacy & Security.
    Installation will cause a new item to appear in your Numbers > Services menu.  Then, if you want a keyboard shortcut, go here in System Preferences and add one:
    You can rename or remove the service by holding down the option key in Finder and choosing Go > Library > Services. You can also view the AppleScript contaned within the service by opening the .workflow package in Automator.
    Note, also, that in Numbers 3 you don't have to use those left-right arrows upper right to slowly scroll left-right to the sheets that are out of view.  Just move your cursor up to the "band" with the "tabs" and drag left or right.  That's much faster than using the arrows.

    # Question
    When the program gets terminated unexpectedly (power failure, UPS fails), when I reopen it, it usually does NOT return the previous pages, as I have checked in the 'options' box, but goes to some random collection of pages often from months ago. Very frustrating - can anything be done to COMMAND it to save current pages and re-open there? (As I said, I have this box checked in the options, but it does not work ..

    Very Important, how much Free Space is on your Hard Drive first of all? Click on the Macintosh HD on the Desktop, then do a Get Info on it.
    Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
    *Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
    Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
    (Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
    If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
    Do they launch OK while in Safe Mode?

  • Return to previous page

    Can someone please tell me how to return to a previous page viewed within the same website? When I hit the back arrow, it takes me to a different website all together. Thanks.

    Are you opening the web pages in tabs? If you using tabs, you have to tap on the tab that is showing under the Safari bookmarks bar.
    If you tap and hold down on the back button, it will show all all of the web sites that you have viewed within that current tab.

  • Return to previous page in safari 7.0

    Since updating from 10.6.8 to 10.9, how do I get the "delete" button to cause Safari to return to the previous page that I viewed? Is there another shortcut of key combination to get this to work?

    Launch the Terminal app located in HD > Applications > Utilities
    Copy then paste this command:
    defaults write com.apple.Safari com.apple.Safari.ContentPageGroupIdentifier.WebKit2BackspaceKeyNavigationEnable d -bool YES
    Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

  • Can I return to previous page after clicking a bookmark hyperlink?

    I am writing a book that I want readers to be able to click on a hyperlink to view more information about things, but then easily return to the previous page. For example:
    Ingredients:
    1 - apple
    2 - bananas
    4 cups sugar
    apple, bananas, and sugar would be hyperlinks taking the user to spot in the book where I discuss each. I want them to be able to easily return to the page that sent them, but cannot find a way to do it.
    Thank you!

    Well, perhaps I should give a little more detailed example to illustrate why I'm trying to do this. I see now that my initial example was probably overly simple.
    The book is an emergency care manual for providers in the field.
    It will have, for example, a section devoted to intubation that describes the technique, medications to use, proper verification, and so forth (this section would be a significant amount of information).  Then in a different section, say cardiac arrest, it will say "perform intubation per general guidelines" which will be just one little line of the entire cardiac arrest section.  I want to hyperlink "perform intubation.." to the intubation section but then have a way to quickly and easily return to the cardiac arrest section.
    Does that make more sense? Maybe there's a better way than hyperlinks/bookmarks, but I haven't discovered it yet.
    Thanks.

  • I have no way to return to previous page without going completely out of firefox - can you help with this?

    I start with the home page of a site. Then go to one of the other pages on the same site. I find no way to return to the home page without going completely out of firefox and having to start all over again. In other words the "back" arrow is gray and does not work to get me back to the original home page. Can you help with this?

    Try double clicking on the Back arrow. If you click on it and hold it pressed, it should give you a drop down list of the previous pages. You can also achieve that by right click on the Back arrow. But if you do a single, quick click on it, it should take you back.

  • Problem in how to stop displaying previous page after Logout

    <%
    // I invalidate all my session when i logout and comes on Login.jsp page but if i go back still it open
    previous pages
    How i can stop these
    i am adding these line in avery jsp page
    1)
    response.setHeader("pragma","no-cache");
    response.setHeader("Cache-Control","no-cache");
    response.setHeader("Cache-Control","no-store");
    response.addDateHeader("Expires", 0);
    response.setDateHeader("max-age", 0);
    response.setIntHeader ("Expires", -1); //prevents caching at the proxy server
    response.addHeader("cache-Control", "private"); //IE5.x only;
    %>
    2) and in Logout.jsp
    response.sendRedirect("Login.jsp");
    session.invalidate();
    session.removeAttribute("viv");
    still on reaching login page i can move to previous page by clicking back button

    Hi sreenathreddy.
    I am doing exactly what you are talking about.
    On load of each jsp page, I check to see if I am still in session. If i am not, i redirect the user to the login page saying his session has expired.. This works perfectly fine in the sense that after I log out, if I directly type in the url or click on any other link from history, it redirects you to the login page.
    But my problem sitll remained that after logging out, if i clicked the back button, it would still take me to the previous page even though none of the links on that page would work.
    So i added all the response.SetHeaders that are mentioned in this discussion.
    Now the scenario is such that, when i press the back button after logging out, it tells me that the page has expired and i have to resubmit the form.
    There are two problems with this
    1. at this point , if i refresh my page, it still gets the details from the server and even though i am invalidating the session and all the user details, and checking to see if the session is invalidated,it still somehow manages to get all the details(i dont know where that info is stored)
    2. even if the person has not logged out. ie in the middle of a perfectly valid session and clicks on the back button, he is warned that the session has expired.
    please do reply
    thanks
