How to reverse sign +/- in FI statement

Hi Guru
I create P&L report on t.code OB58 and I want to reverse sign on output report such as the Revenue is generally displayed in the general ledger as a negative number but I want display  the sales are displayed as a positive number ,I try use +/- sign change indicator but not effect . How I can do?
thanks very much
methinee.s

Hello,
Sales figures in FI will be shown in Negative values (except credit memos) and positive in SD.
This is standard, this cannot be changed.
+/- (Debit and Credit Check box) symbol in OB58 is having different meaning.
If you select this box, the system will display the account under this financial statement item if it has a debit balance / credit balance.

Ravi

  • Reverse sign on amounts -  how to achieve this?

    Hi,
The requirement is to convert the actual + amount to Reverse sign only for particular items against the key figure.  How can we achieve this?
    I appreciate your help.
    Thanks,
    BW USA

    Hi,
can you identify your particular items with a characteristic value (e.g. ITM_TYPE)?
if yes then, assuming you want to reverse the sign of KF form ITM_TYPES A and B
    - Create a selection (S_REV_KF) with KF and ITM_TYPE = A OR B.
    - create a formula RESULT = KF - 2 x S_REV_KF.
other possibilities: create a hierarchy with reversed sign nodes, structure  (only if very few "items"... also possibility to add a nav attr attribute to your "item" in order to restrict more easily your S_REV_KF....
finally post the result with the logic in your cube via URules....
    hope this helps....
    Olivier.

  • Financial version statement (reverse sign) not extracted correctly

    R/3: ECC 6.0
    BI: NW04s
Went into ECC and set the 'Reverse sing +/-' setting for Revenue nodes.
Went into BI and change the datasource for 0GL_ACCOUNT_T011_HIER to assign a transfer rule for reverse sign
    Reload hierarchy for 0GL_ACCOUNT
The reverse sign appear but their assignment is shifted down by 2 nodes. When I run the Extractor in ECC using RSA3, I can see the incorrect reverse sign assignment. So this appears to be problem with extractor.
I went tru this process for some query that need revenue amounts reversed
    any thoughts?

    Hi Raynald
please have a look to note 1061847 - Ind. for reversing plus/minus signs not extracted correctly, import the SP SAPKH60011 or implement the manual correction in the note.

  • How to reverse AFS MRP

    Hi,
Iu2019m using make to order concept and I created a sales order for a finish goods material. Raw materials are attached to the finish good material in the BOM.
Sales order quantity display in the blocked tab of the AFS MD04 screen.
I ran the AFS MRP (/N/AFS/MD02) and plan order is created and moved to the E Tab of the AFS MD04 screen (/N/AFS/MD04).
I want to reverse the MRP run and need to bring everything in to the before MRP run state. Please advise me how to reverse the MRP run.
    Regards,
    Tutoo

    Hello tutoo2009 ,
Can you explain why you are looking to reverse MRP run. If it is a test environment then you can reverse MRP entries by just deleting the sale order. Next Run MRP again. Since the demand element (Sale order) is deleted all supply elements created by MRP will be also deleted & hence meets your requirement to reverse MRP.
Next you can Recreate the sale order again.
You can do the same even in production environment if it is acceptable for sales person to delete & recreate sale order again
    Hope this helps. Good luck.
    Thanks,
    Ramm

  • Cell Definition and Reverse sign Issue after upgrade

    Hi ,
we are having a issue here after upgrade to BI 7 from 3.1c .
There is a Collision between Cell Definition and Reverse sign in the query designer.
Issue is . We have Key Figure "Net Days AR" which has Reverse Sign Checked under properties. In 3.1c when we ran the report the Net Days AR would get value like  for example    -40 . but now after upgrade to BI 7 SP 16 we are getting value 40. the negative sign is missing. The formula is correct.
I went and checkd if we have any cell definitions defined on this and found the cell definitions onthis keyfigure.
values are comming correct if there are  no cell definitions.
Thanks in Advance and Points will be awarded.
    Thanks,
    Reddy

we have the same problem. In BI 2004s with BEx 3.x when the cell reference is defined, the reverse sign flag is ignored.
I opened a message to SAP. Until now no solution and I think we'll never receive solution. Here are the answers we received:
    SAP
I have to say this is the limitation of front end 3.5.
In designer 3.5, it works this way:
When you define a cell referance, this cell is blocked from change of the column property change. No matter how you change the column key fig proerty, it keeps the original status when you define it.
If you want the defined cell property, you need to delete the cell
referance, change property, then redefine the referance.
I agree this is very inconvinience, that's why I would recommend you to use query designer 7.0 if possible. With 7.0 front end, you can define separately the property for defined cells. It is more flexible.
    ME
At the moment it is not possible to migrate to 7.0 frontend.
I tried to delete the cell reference, change properties and redefine the reference. I tried to create new columns, define cell properties, save and define the cell reference. I tried several different combinations...
No way, as soon as I define the cell reference, column properties are ignored.
    1) How can we restore the correct behavour of a query in frontend 3.5?
    2) If we found a way to restore it, we need a smart procedure to modify all our existing queries (including how to identify those affected by this inconvenience).
    SAP
For front end 3.5, you need do following:
    1. delete cell referance
    2. change the column property (such as tick on or off the sign reversal)
    3. re-define the cell (this cell will with the new sign status)
    4. define formular base on cell
After step 3, you can't change cell property whatever you do in
column property. This is the designed behavior.
If you want to change property after step 3, you need to start
    all over from step 1.
    ME
    I did it.
Don't work. When I define the cell reference, column properties are ignored.
    SAP
It seems there is some issue in front end.
Do you use the front end 3.5 with latest patch?
Could you please check front end installation as per sapbexc.xla (described in note 197460). If there are problems shown within this check do the following:
    - Remove your frontend via 'START' - 'PROGRAMS' - 'SAP FRONTEND' -'REMOVE SAP FRONTEND'
    - Install the lastest frontend and GUI patch (according to note 496977or 496989 again and check the installation).
    ME
    I don't think so. I am using:
    Sapgui 7.10 Patch 8
    Bex 3.50 Patch 3
    Bex 7.x Patch 5
    to be continued...

  • Reverse Signs in hierarchies

    Hi Guys,
how can I reverse signs in hierarchies?
I went to rsa1 an set the flag at the node in my hierarchy, which I want to reverse the sign at.
When I then retrieve the data using a query the sign does not change, but still remains +
    Thanks for your help.
    -- Niels

    Niels,
Balance sheet, Profit & Loss and Cash flow reports by the business meaning are based on an the almost independent sets of accounts. They are linked by the (net) profit/revenue.
Though, the internal (accounting) sign of the net profit is negative, the presentation of it in different reports (see above) MIGHT AND SHOULD BE DIFFERENT!.
Frankly, first time I met the approach when one hierarchy of accounts is used for all these three reports. The reports represent different slices and views (dimensions) of data. You cannot build the indirect cash flow report by the information contained in B/S & P&L accounts only! The Cash Flow accounts are derivatives (calculated) from the B/S, P&L & additional information.
IMHO, it's absolutely improper to use one hierarchy of accounts for these reports. They must be different hierarchies of accounts for these reports.

  • Reverse sign +- issue?

    HI BW World!
I have a problem and not sure why?
I have 3 sets of keys figures (3 key figures in each group of Opening(A), Closing(B) and Movements(C)).. Totals in £ (Reverse sign or not)
    A. (Opening Balances)
    Sales       +£27,000 (Keep Sign)
    NegSales  -£50 (Keep Sign)
    Net Sales  +£27,650  (Reverse Sign)
    B. (Closing Balances)
    Sales           +£142,700 (Keep Sign)
    Neg Sales    -£50  (Keep Sign)
    Net Sales    +£142.640  (Reverse Sign)
    C. (Movements) (**Using a local formula to calculate**)
Sales (Sales Closing - Sales Opening) = -£115,000 (Keep Sign)
Neg Sales (Neg Sales Closing - Neg Sales Opening) =£0 (Keep Sign)
Net Sales (Net Sales Closing - Net Sales Opening) = -£115,000 (Reverse Sign)
    My question is..
I was expecting the value of C. (Movements) Sales to be +(plus)£115,000 not -(minus)£115,000.
How comes it rhas reversed the sign?
    Points to be awarded......
    Thanks in advance....

    Hi Praveen..
I know I can change teh sign BUT why has it reversed the sign? I have not told it to reverse the sign?
I dont want to just reverese the sign now as we both dont know why? Its possible this could cause future figures to be wrong.
I want to know WHY it has reversed the sign without asking it to? I was thinking maybe something to do with calculations and aggregation?
    Thanks for your input..

  • How can i use one SQL statement to solve problem?

How can i use one SQL statement to solve the question below?
For a Table named A, there is a column named F(char type).
Now select all the records where F like '%00' and update their F value to '%01'
Just one SQL statement.Do not use PL/SQL block.
    How to do that?
    Thanks.

What is the data volume for this table?
Do you expect lots of rows to have '%00' as their value?
Following two statements come to mind. Other experts would be able to provide better alternatives:
If you have index on SUBSTR(f, 2):
    UPDATE A
    SET    f = SUBSTR(f,
                      1,
                      length(f) - 2) || '01'
    WHERE  substr(f,
-2) = '00';If most of the rows have pattern '%00':
    UPDATE A
    SET    f = SUBSTR(f,
                      1,
                      length(f) - 2) ||
               DECODE(SUBSTR(f,
                             -2),
                      '00',
                      '01',
                      SUBSTR(f,
                             -2));

  • How do I sign my VB / VS 2010 based shared COM add-in for Excel so it loads when the user has checked "Require application add-ins to be signed by a trusted publisher"?

My COM add-in is developed using VS 2010 and VB. It's a shared COM add-in (not VSTO) and it works with Excel 2007 - 2013. My installer is signed with a code signing certificate but it would appear that my add-in's .dll should also be signed if the user has
checked the "Require application add-ins to be signed by a trusted publisher" option.
The "Sign the assembly" option is checked in my add-in's VB -> My Project -> Signing. I have a .snk file selected which I seem to recall generating 6 or 7 years ago when I ported the COM add-in from VB6 to .NET.
I have an up-to-date Comodo code signing certificate (a pfx file called MyCompanyCodeSigningCertificatePrivateKey.pfx) which I purchased to use with the installer and was wondering if and how I could use this.
I tried selecting my pfx file in the My Project -> Signing -> "Choose a strong name key file" dialog. It made a copy of the pfx file in my project folder but when I tried to build the project, I got the following error:
Error 1 Cannot import the following key file: MyCompanyCodeSigningCertificatePrivateKey.pfx. The key file may be password protected. To correct this, try to import the certificate again or manually install the certificate to the Strong Name CSP with the
    following key container name: VS_KEY_C0B6F251F0FB6016
After a little research, I found out I might be able to use signtool to sign the dll in a post-build step.
I added the following command to the post-build event, before the command I use to regasm the assembly.
    "path to signtool\signtool" sign /f "MyCompanyCodeSigningCertificatePrivateKey.pfx" /p "xxxx" /v "$(TargetPath)"
When I built the project, the dll appeared to get signed (the output window showed a bunch of confirming text as well as "Successfully signed: c:\MyAddIn\bin\Release\MyAddIn.dll") but the next step in the post-build (regasm myaddin.dll /codebase)
issued a warning RA0000 (see below) but reported "Types registered successfully".
Here's the message I get from regasm, even though the output window says the dll was sucessfully signed:
RegAsm : warning RA0000: Registering an unsigned assembly with /codebase can cause your assembly to interfere with other applications that may be installed on the same computer. The /codebase switch is intended to be used only with signed assemblies. Please give your assembly a strong name and re-register it.
    Types registered successfully
I'm not using a shim if that makes a difference.
How do I sign my add-in so it loads when the user has checked "Require application add-ins to be signed by a trusted publisher"?
    Any tips would be appreciated.

    Hello,
Why do you need to use the regasm utility from the post-build action?
There is a difference between signing the assembly with a strong name and digital signature. The
How to: Sign an Assembly with a Strong Name article in MSDN explains how to sign an assembly with a strong name (.snk). See
How to digitally sign a strong named assembly for adding a digital signature.

You create an @icloud.com address in the first place by signing into Settings>iCloud with your Apple ID and choosing an addres - you can only create an @icloud.com address, not @me.com.
Then if you want further addresses on the same account you can add up to three 'email aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. (In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.) (New aliases can only be @icloud.com ones; @me.com addresses cannot now be created.)
You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account or move it to another account.
More information on aliases here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm6b1a490a
