How to rid of automatic loading of subsequent webpages?

Hi,
just a simple question: how can I turn off Safari's behaviour to load the next webpage at the bottom of the current one (so that it is possible to scroll down, say, a long article, without having to press 'Next page')?
This feature messes up the display of some Wordpress sites (e.g., the space between a post and the option to comment on it is populated with several other posts), which I why I would like to turn it off.
I searched for this, but couldn't find an answer, probably partly due to the fact that I don't know the name for this feature.

thanks a lot for your reply! Unfortunately, pressing Command & Esc just starts Front Row... Or maybe I misunderstood something?
In any case, I'd like to turn off the feature permanently, not just on a time to time basis.

How do I stop automatic loading of the next page as I scroll to the bottom of an internet page that has a number of pages?

When I search with Google, as I scroll to near the bottom of the page, the next page of results automatically loads. I can never get to and use the similar searches, or "Searches related to ***", which are at the bottom of the page, as the next page loads and focuses at the top of that next page. Also, there is a bar with the page number, and a field with a "Jump to" command with a pop down arrow with page numbers, and up and down arrows beside it which go up or down one page if used.
This does not happen with, say, Bing, nor if I use Int Expl (aagh).
I have no autopage type of add-ons, or plugins.. I may have had an add-on at one time. There are a bunch of autopager "strings", or lines, in about:config. How do you remove them, if that is the problem?
How do I stop this from happening? It is extremely annoying.

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

How get rid of Original Loaded message

Hi,
Can anyone help me solve the following issue with my HP Photosmart C6180 All in One;
Some how I have managed to get a message on the printer screen saying "Original Loaded"
I have turned off the printer, entered the copy menu but can't find anyway of deleting it. Since it appeared I am unable to use the copier, it makes a noise and produces a blank page.

Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID: > here to share purchased music, apps and books.
Other than that each of you should use your own Apple ID for iMessage, FaceTime, iCloud, Game Center, etc.

How do I use the location bar to automatically load the top google hit?

I recently re-installed Firefox 3.6.12 and created a new profile because my old one was malfunctioning. Before, when I typed something in the location bar (say "nyt") it would automatically load the first Google hit (so I didn't have to type "nytimes.com"). Now, it simply performs a Google search without loading the first page hit. I loved being able to save time this way. How do I restore this feature?

How can I stop Foxfire from automatically loading when I turn on my computer that runs on Windows Vista?

Foxfire automatically loads when I boot up my computer after all the other essential programs boot up. I'd like to know how to disable the start-up menu link that allows the program to load up when the computer first starts up because the Foxfire browser isn't needed when I first start the computer. Besides, when I first start my computer, it's inevitably not hooked to the internet and it's just a bit annoying to see foxfire load when it's not needed. Furthermore, it takes up precious memory in the RAM when it's running, thus slowing down my machine. Please, someone show me how to keep this program from booting when I start up my computer. By the way, my system is Windows Vista and Foxfire does not show up in the start-up folder. Only by going to the default program page and clicking on Foxfire does it show that Foxfire has a hidden default that makes it start when the computer starts. All I'm looking for is to not see it when I boot my computer.

Thanks for pointing me to the link about the startup programs changes. I found the solution there. Foxfire was hiding in the hidden startup menu. Once I found it using msconfig, I was able to stop it from loading when I started my computer. Again, thanks for the help.

How do I automatically load a page from a Flash intro?

I've created an intro Flash movie for my website and have two
questions:
1) Once the movie has run its course, how do I automatically
get the next swf file (home.swf) to automatically load after it? I
am using Flash CS3 and will be using Dreamweaver CS3 to publish.
2) If someone wants to skip the intro movie and go straight
to home.swf how do I make this happen? I've created a "skip movie"
button but am not quite sure about the code required to make the
button work.
I'm very new to Actionscript so this is still a bit of Greek

Flash CS3 is ok but r u using Actionscript 2.0 or 3.0
if you use Action script 2.0 i can give you the solution...
we can do the same thing in different manner but i don't know
how you have done... but my part of idea is you can have a base
movie and in that you can load the first intro.swf and in the end
of that intro movie clip you can unload the current movie and load
a homemovie in the base movie clip so that you will have more
benefit like if they skip the intro you can just load the home .swf
directly without loading the intro.swf. this is just a general
idea.
If you give a clear idea how you has created i can give you a
better and a clear idea with the code...

pls do these steps to reset your printer back to factory defaults....
Hope this will work...
1. while the printer is on- unplug the power cord.
2. when the printer switched off- pls press and hold 3 and # key buttons while reconnecting the power cord back to the printer.
3.when you see a message " Improper shutdown" just press ok to continue
4.select your appropriate language and country to continue
5. wait the printer to initialize.
6. When you see the normal screen, reconnect the printer again back to the wireless network using the wireless set-up wizzard from the printer's control panel.
7. Try to print and scan wirelessly.

I built a DLL in CVI and is used in TestStand, I want this DLL to have the ability to automatically load function parameters after specifying Module pathname and function name in "Edit C/C++ DLL Call" dialog? How can I do it?

Staring with CVI 7.1 and TestStand 3.1 you do not need a type library for TestStand to load parameters automatically. Just make sure you declare your exported functions with the __declspec(dllexport) modifier as in the following code:

That is not standard behavior. You may have installed an extension that causes it.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

How to disable automatic loading of iView/Page in detailed navigation?

Hello,
We've upgraded our portal 7.0 from SP9 to SP12.
I've noticed that SAP have added this change: Whenever a user is navigating between one role/tab to another in the top level navigation the first folder at the detailed navigation is automatically opened and the first content there is automatically loaded.
I would like to disable this option - I've looked at the new properties that have been added to the detailed navigation iView between SP9 and SP12 and could only find these two: Display Parent of Hidden Node and Open Folder When Launched.
These two are not solving this problem and they are disabled anyway.
Any ideas...?

Role and Workset Hierarchy:
Folders F1 and F2 (Roles) are defined as entry points and therefore appear on the first level of the top level navigation bar. What happen is when we click F1 (Role), the underlying folders F1a and F1b (Worksets) appear on the second level. On click on F1a the first entry F1a (Workset) of the second level is activated and its contents (iViews) are displayed in the detail navigation and the contents of the iView is displayed in the portal page of the content area.
And same procedure happens with F2 role on the first level of the top level navigation bar. When we click on the F2 (Role) the underlying folders F2a and F2b (Worksets) appear on the second level of the top level navigation bar. On click on F2a the first entry F2a (Workset) of the second level is activated and its contents (iViews) are displayed in the detail navigation and the contents of the iView is displayed in the portal page of the content area.
I think need to configure levels of TLN which includes top level navigation, detail navigation and content area and then need to define the entry points.

When opening a new window, it automatically loads last pop-up (?) content and I am unable to type in address bar or open a new tab in the new window.

I don't know if they're technically pop-up windows (for example, if you do a search on kayak.com, it will automatically open a new priceline.com window with the results of the search), but this happens with pop-up blocker on or off. Other examples are a small info window from a financial or .edu site that opens up saying a session is about to expire, or answering an FAQ (with the exception of the priceline example, these windows don't have an address bar or display a URL). Anyway, after these windows are closed, if I try to open a new window, it will automatically load the content of that "pop-up". Whenever it does this, I am unable to type in the address bar or open a new tab in that window.
How do I fix this? All I want is to open a new window that's blank, not load prior content.

It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or even add / mal-ware.
Look thru your add-ons list and make sure you know what each one is
there for. Also, check the programs that are on your computer
