How to roll back to iTunes 11.0.5?

If I have a copy of iTunes 11.0.5 on a backup drive, what would be the proper way to move it back to my Mac and replace this horrible 11.1 version? Is it a simple matter of just trashing 11.1 and copying 11.0.5 over? Or are there system files that would need to be copied over, too?
Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

I don't think you can as long as it would require to remove iTunes, which is part of the system.
Not to mention that if you have some devices running iOS7 will not work with previous versions of iTunes than 11.1

  • Rolling back to iTunes 4.9 from 5 or 5.0.1

I have posted a method of rolling back to iTunes 4.9 from iTunes 5 or 5.0.1 before and it works for some people, at least. I am posting this again in the hope that people who have problems with iTunes 5 or 5.0.1 will be able to solve their problems by rolling back.
    (1) Remove iTunes 5 and QuickTime 7 using the Add/Remove Program function in Control Panel
    (2) Copy the iTunes Library file in My Documents -> My Music -> iTunes -> Previous iTunes Libraries to My Documents -> My Music -> iTunes and rename it to iTunes Library (you need to delete the new iTunes Library file there created by iTunes 5 first)
    (3) Reinstall iTunes 4.9 (A copy can be found at http://www.5star-shareware.com/Windows/Music/MultimediaPlayers/itunes.html , the last time I visited the link is still active.)
Also save the iTunes 4.9 installer in a safe place as you may need it later.

    Jim,
Your statements indicate a clear understanding of why the furor appears here and the efforts to address it, but your last admission (regarding issue management) negates it all. How can
    i you
now determine that there is a problem (one that is pervasive enough to warrant a major response or action on Apple's part)?
None of us here have any insight as to the extent (or lack thereof) of the problem. Only Apple knows (if that) how many iTunes installations there are and what proportion of these are experiencing a problem. There have been calls for the iTunes developers' heads since I've seen the release of 4.7 - and all prior indications are that this is not a new event with that version. Some folks have always been getting caught in the ‘fatal error’ trap with each new iTunes release.
Over the 2005 year, the iTunes users have expanded greatly. As such, I would expect a similar increase in folks coming here to seek help and express dismay. It certainly
    i seems
to me as if there are greater instances of iTunes failing, but as a proportion of total users, I cannot say if the percentages are, in fact, increasing.
As for a 'forced migration’,...the apparent policy has been to provide only the current version of the programs. I realize that folks want a 'fool-proof' upgrade, but any experience with PCs teaches one that without backups, archived earlier version of programs, prudence before jumping into a new version release, and a good understanding of one's system, you are just inviting trouble.
I feel for the folks with difficult problems. I am not blaming them, nor am I willing to blame Apple. I remain here trying to assist them where possible. I do, however, expect us as 'users' to be able to proactively protect ourselves as we so often have been warned by various technology experts: make multiple backups, keep copies of previous programs, learn a little bit about our computers, and exercise a little personal responsibility in keeping them correctly operating - or pay for someone else to manage it for us.

  • How do I back up itunes to dvd

How do i back up itunes to dvd.I have the latest update, but under file- library, there is no backup to disc now

The backup to disk option was removed as of iTunes 10.4. If you want to back up your tracks to a CD, you can as a workaround put the tracks in a playlist and then use the Burn Playlist to Disk command and select a data disk as the format. If you want to back up your tracks to a DVD now, you'll need to use other software. Unless your library is pretty small, though, it's probably a lot more effective to just copy the entire iTunes folder to an external hard drive or USB flash drive.

  • How to roll back changes made by other user in nwdi?

    hi all
    my doubt is.
if there are errors in the WD NWDI project (cause developer before me had deleted/ added some of the code which is causing those errors).
how to  roll back the code changes which were made by other user.
i think through sync option but  when we sync to a earlier date we cant check out the code to make changes.
    help me.

    thanks rohit.
but if there are changes in the context, i mean if one more attribute is created and it is been used a UI element.
    then the above process works.
    My doubt is.
        src folder(configuration,packages,mimes)
Will these file contain all the code including  the context attributes and the mapping informatin and every thing else.
    (except Libs)???????
can you plz tell me where the context attributes and mapping informantion and source code and model information are stored (in which folder).

  • How to roll back when procedure fails

    Hi All,
In my process using procedures i am droping the temp tables and creating temp tables ,if any procedures fails how should roll back all the process
    Procedure1(droping tables)----->procedure2(creating table1)--------->procedure3(creating table2)------->procedure4(Validaating accounts in table2 and creating seperate table)
    Any suggestion please
    Thanks in Advance

    Let's say in your package you have your 4 procedures (Proc1, Proc2, Proc3, Proc4).
    Also create 3 additional procedures:
RollBack1 -> Does the opposite to Proc1 (i.e. if Proc1 drops a table, then Rollback1 will create it)
    RollBack2 -> Does the opposite to Proc2
    RollBack3 -> Does the opposite to Proc3
    Your logic will be:
If Proc1 is successful, then execute Proc2.
If Proc1 is unsuccessful, then end.
If Proc2 is successful, then execute Proc3.
If Proc2 is unsuccessful, then use an on failure path (red line) to execute RollBack1.
If Proc3 is successful, then execute Proc4.
If Proc3 is unsuccessful, then use an on failure path (red line) to execute RollBack2, followed by RollBack1.
If Proc4 is successful, then end.
If Proc4 is unsuccessful, then use an on failure path (red line) to execute RollBack3, followed by RollBack2, followed by RollBack1.
It mightn't be necessary to undo everything - but you'll know your own business needs to make a decision on that.

  • How to "roll back" SAP APO PPDS planning batch run from infeasible batch mid-point to before start of planning batch run?

    Hi Experts,
We are investigating if any SAP customer that implemented SAP APO PPDS has ever attempted to establish a "roll back" of the SAP APO PPDS created supply plan to a defined point before the start of the SAP APO PPDS planning batch run?
We have a situation where - in the middle of the planning batch run - randomly or intermittent the batch run hangs or runs a step for multiple hours that normally, at most days, takes only a few minutes to run.  In a situation like this, the supply plan is not in a state where customer sales orders can be promised  (using GATP CTP) or planned orders can be converted to production orders and published to SAP ECC, etc since the plan may be capacity infeasible or simply partial or incomplete.   To not hold the business operations hostage to wait resuming operations (promise customer sales orders, convert and release and execute orders to transfer, deliver, produce, or purchase) for hours or days, we need to find a way back to the original plan right before the nightly PPDS batch planning job started.
We already close all the queues from ECC to APO, thus, no CIF traffic from ECC to APO.  We also shut down the customer sales order feed into ECC as normal process for duration of the APO PPDS batch planning run.  Thus, functionally,  we are theoretically in a situation to simply go back to a PPDS and active planning version save prior to the run.  Yet, many more technical and BASIS-related questions remain on how to roll back to a state where the plan was not compromised.
This inquiry is to learn if any other SAP customer has ever established a process to roll back SAP APO PPDS to a previous point in time supply plan to resume operations?  Whatever the reasons are, be it after a failed  batch run, or any time during the normal interactive plan day.
Additional information about our design and plan:
    1.  We have a two year horizon supply plan in PPDS
    2.  We only publish to ECC 14 days worth of planned orders, stock transfer requirements, and purchase requirements
    3.  We convert planned orders to production orders and release production orders in ECC 2 days before first operation starts
    4.  We convert PR's to PO's and STR's to STO's in ECC  2 days before execution (ship or submit to vendor)
Any indication where a SAP customer has developed and uses a process to roll back an SAP APO PPDS- planned supply plan to an earlier point in time or version would be helpful to know.

    Hi  Manimaran,
Saving in Simulation means in DS board when you click on save it provides you option to save sim version or adopt to active version. If you copy to inactive version you cannot copy back  trasaction data specially PPDs orders back to active version again while if you save in simulation you can adope it to active version at any point of time. YOu can adopt simulation version changes to active version using T-code /SAPAPO/CDPSS0
Copying to active version means you copy data from version 000 to some other active version while here results are kept simulation,

  • How Can I Roll Back my iTunes Library?

I'm guessing it may no tbe possible at all, but here goes.
What I would like to do with my music estate is roll back my current iTunes library file, automatically updated to iTunes 11 when updated on MPBr when this was my only PC using iTunes. Now I have three and some iOS devices too. My library has been moved from windows machines to macs and is several years old and has received 100s of hours of tweaking to get it just right.
Now my server is a PowerPC mac and I can only go as far as iTunes 10.6.xx, I want this to be always on and share the library with other PCs accross home sharing (i will sync iPhones over the wi-fi with this PC too, though it may not play with iOS7, so perhaps not).
I want to see the iTunes library on the macbooks, probably through Home Sharing, I also want to be able to sync the iphones, but only have a single copy of the music files on the server. is this possible? This will just be for when out of the house as I can also use home sharing in the house for music.
    Thanks

You say you want to do this with multiple devices.  Let's say you have a new iPhone 5 that requires iTunes 11. You will not be able to sync that if your base iTunes is iTunes 10.6 since your hardware will require at least whatever version of iTunes was current at the time of purchase.  You're seeing this with your iOS7 phone.  Anyway, unless all your hardware is old enough to use the lowest version of iTunes you need to run, you may be out of luck.  You cannot share the library.  Sharing media is different, and relatively easy, but it will be complex to ensure all the multiple libraries are kept up to date.
You also can't roll back iTunes libraries to earlier versions unless you kept a backup of your library from the point to which you wish to revert, or it is still in the previous libraries folder.

  • How do you roll BACK to iTunes 11 from 12.

In a nut shell, version 12 of iTunes is a MESS. My Ipod HATES it as I can NOT delete nor add play lists and I've tried everything. 12 is a bug fest.
I had no problems what so ever with version 11 and would LOVE TO roll it back. Anyone do it with success?
If so please help the hundreds of us out in cyber space who would love to roll back too.
    Thank you.

If you really want to roll back to 11.4 uninstall all iTunes/Apple components, restore the pre-upgrade version of the library as described in Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash, then download and install from one of these direct links:
    iTunes 11.4.0.18 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-09-09)
    iTunes 11.4.0.18 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-09-09)

  • Roll back to itunes 10.7 from itunes 11

Recently my iMac updated to iTunes 11 automatically as part of its update process. I find that I hate this new version of iTunes and so I tried to roll back to the previous version (10.7 in my case). I figured out how to uninstall / delete iTunes 11, I downloaded the previous version from apple.com and ran the installer. I restored my previous iTunes Library file and openned iTunes. All my playlists, play counts, etc are there appropriately and everything looks good at first glance. However, my iPod and iPad can no longer sync and iTunes is telling me to restore them both to factory settings which I'd rather not do. I also can no longer connect to my iTunes library via my local area network from my Windows based machines (haven't been able to try from another Mac, yet). Any ideas on what I did wrong and more importantly how to fix these annoying problems? Thanks!

Thanks. This may work for the iPod and iPad although I'm not terribly interested in reorganizing all the apps and data on both devices unless absolutely necessary. Also, this does not address the problem of not being able to access the library over the LAN from other computers running iTunes.

  • How do I back up iTunes to disk on version 10.6.3?

With the newest version of iTunes, there is no "back up to disk" function.  It used to be in File>Library>Back up to disk.  I'm guessing that since iCloud is out, we're supposed to use that.  However, I have purchases from 2006 of which I'm unsure if iCloud would keep forever.  Plus, I have music ripped from CD that I want to keep.  How am I supposed to back up my iTunes?  I'm looking at either backing up to DVD or another hard drive.

Backup to disc was removed about two years ago.
You should get (already have) an external drive for backing upcountry computer.
See this for backing up iTunes.

  • How do I back up Itunes library to External HD?

    Hello:
Anyone who read my prior post knows that my internal CD-RW Drive crashed. I am now forced to find another method to finally get around to backing up my itunes library which currently has about 2-3 GB of music. When I open itunes and go to file it gives me the option to backup to disk. Obviously with the external HD I will not be backing up to disk. Can anyone assist me with the following:
    1. How will I backup my data to the external HD once I get it today (I am not all that computer literate so as detailed as you can be would be much appreciated).
    2. If I ever need to restore my itunes music back onto itunes how do I accomplish this?
    3. Will backing up my itunes also back up all of my podcasts or just music that I purchased or downloaded from CD, ect.
    4. After I backup today on the external HD can I then open another itunes account on my wife's computer (which is brand new and much faster supporting USB 2.0 where mine is 1.1) and transfer all of my data to her computer so that I do not have to use my computer anymore?
THANKS FOR THE TIME READING THIS!!! I greatly appreciate any replys and have a safe and happy new year!

Its pretty simple to do. Long as you have some extra space to spare on your INTERNAL harddrive (aka the C drive in windows) because you will want to consolidate the library.
In iTUnes when you goto Advanced>Consolidate library it will COPY all songs listed in itunes to the "iTUnes Music" folder, located in My Music>iTUnes.
All purchased items from the itunes store are already in this folder, so itunes will not copy them.
Once this is done all you need to do is goto My Music rightclick the "iTUnes" folder and select copy.
Now open "My Computer" double click the external drive there, rightclick in a blank field and hit "Paste". this will put the whole itunes folder on the external drive with all your music AND the "iTUnes Library.xml" file.
Now use the "Safly remove hardware" to remove/eject the external drive from your PC (This will be a little small green arrow icon in the lower righthand corner of windows, where the clock is).
Far as your wifes computer goes, you may have to create your own user account in windows first UNLESS she doesn't use itunes or you want to combine all your music with hers on her user account in windows.

  • How do I back-up Itunes music onto an external drive?

I wanted to know how I can back up my Itunes onto an external drive. I tried to back up but it will take about 9 discs to burn it onto. Can;t I just drop and drag all the songs onto an external drive?

"Choose Consolidate Library from the Library section of the File menu in iTunes".
I started this process and a screen popped up advising me this was irreversible and was I sure I wanted to do it. I clicked no until I could get further advice. If I do this, what is the outcome/consequences and why would they warn me?
