How to root Lenovo a606

Please help me. I have bought lenovo a606 smartphone. I want to root it but no method works, please help me as I want to record my  phones screen. If it isn't possible, then please update lenovo a606 to lollipop as lollipop OS allows to record screen without root. Moreover, if possible make a builtin app to record screen

Hi HamzaKhan
Have you tried THIS .
Before using that program make sure: 1.The phone drivers are installed
                                                                     2. ''USB Debugging'' is turned on
                                                                     3.Allow ''Unknown sources'' in Settings->Security.
Hope this helps.
Regards.

  • How to Root Lenovo S939? And how to install VIBEUI_V1.5_1417_2_DEV_S939_NK_W_B215_MultiLang_GAPPS_

I bought a Lenovo S939 with a multilanguage ROM and GAPPS (aNDROID 4.2.2  -  S939_S124_131211). After the system update to the 4.4.2 ( VIBEUI_V2.0_1434_2_ST_S939) all the system (including Apps) have appeared in Chinese (I could choose English as system language): I managed to install Google Play (installing GMSTools), and I could download Almost all Google Apps (some of them are not compatible with this version, for example G+ is not in Google play at all).
In order to have a multilanguage version with all the functions I had in the original 4.2.2 Android version I've downloaded VIBEUI_V1.5_1417_2_DEV_S939_NK_W_B215_MultiLang_GAPPS_(link http://www.needrom.com/download/lenovo-s939-4-4-2-multilang/) and I've followed all the instruction (after installing all the software I needed) illustrated in the linked web page. I don't have any problem along the whole process, but at the end, when i connect my phone the red bar doesn't appear and nothing happens.
What happens? what's the mistake?? My phone is not rooted.
I have tried to root it in different ways. but it seems impossible. Do yo know how to root S939?
    Thanks

  • How to root Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 pro

I want to root my Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 pro (android version 4.4.2), but I dont want a bricked device. So, can someone please help me? Send a tutorial, download link..? I would be so greatful, thanks.

just reflash with intel's phone flash tool, and all is getting back to stock. no need to clean or other stuff... just select the flash.xml (not others xml). if you peek inside the file you will see that he is creating and formatting the partitions again so whatever was on your emmc (tablet's equivalent hd) is gone. as long as you didnt mess around with bios reflashing with that xml  will get you back in time to the place you were when you first started your tablet (assuming you are flashing the same rom)Lenovo implemented Secure Boot (or as we know it better as 'locked bootloader') so as long you didn't mess with bios (and i don't think you did) theres no way anyone could tell that the tablet was rooted sometime. the rooting method used now is "online" after the secure boot has done his job of starting the kernel.not my case coz i will sodomize my bios to bypass the secboot (i want to install linux and windows, just for fun, and this tablet would be fun for me running linux and a chroot with android, so that I WILL SECURE BOOT android ) and anyways i can get back anytime (worst case i have a flash burner)

  • How to root Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L?

    Hello everyone!
Did someone rooted safely LTE+WIFI version?
Please help me cause I didn't found any solutions...

I was able to root it using Kingoroot, but it needed some help! Kingo said the root was successful, but the tablet was not really rooted. Some apps, like Greenify, would not work correctly. I unrooted, then rerooted with the same result. The last time I did this, the Kingo Superuser app said it needed an update to its binary. Instead of updating it, I installed Super SU 2.46 and then had it update its binary. After a restart, I was fully rooted. I have not removed the Kingo Superuser app or updated Super SU. If it is not broken, do not fix it! ;p). I also was interested in installing Xposed, but at the start of the installation, it warned me that the app was not compatible with some of the tablets hardware (processor or chipset?), so I removed the installer. I would not install it until Xposed is updated. The only other thing I would like to do is install Clockwork Mod recovery, but I am not sure if it is compatible with the Tab 2.

  • Lenovo A606 Bricked

    Hello,
I have a new Lenovo A606, that came with a strange ROM (IMEI not recognized, some weird WIFI setup) from 2014. I was able to set it up and correct the problems (thanks to google), but I still had some language issues (the Lenovo Apps including dialer, contacts, sms, etc… were English only). I was able to root it fine, and no working problem.
I decided to install a clean stock ROM, ROW: the A606_USR_S036_1502271022_V3_MP_ROW that is more recent and fully supports multilanguage.
I took a PC with Windows XP, and installed the latest SP Flash Tool, following this tutorial: http://androidxda.com/flash-stock-rom-using-smart-phone-flash-tool
I was able to install android adb drivers and the MTK driver from the ROM image. The phone was showing in the devices, then was disappearing, then showing again… I had an error, but then I tried again with the option to update the firmware, and the Flash Tool reached the end and said it flashed succesfully.
Problem: after that, the phone was totally bricked. It would not start at all. When I plug it on the PC, it shows sporadically a device called "VENDOR 0E8D - communication" that disappears very quickly. I cannot flash it again. I just lost my brand new phone…
I tried with SP Flash Tool, and Flash SPMDT, with different ROMs, CN only, ROW, different versions… But nothing. It always says that Flash failed. Even when the phone is not plugged, I have an error with Flash SPMDT, with all ROMs, saying that (1)COM ports number is repetitive or invalid, or (2) Brom and preloader have the same comport number! and it asks me to modify them in INI file or scan again. Of course, scan fails, when I plug the phone pressing vol up + vol down (only way to make the phone recognized by the computer without a battery), the progress goes to 100% then either stays stuck there, or says it failed. SP Flash Tools gives this error: 'BROM ERROR s_ft_enable_dram_fail (4032)'
I tried several drivers, to clean drivers with usbdview, I tried several versions of SP Flash Tools… I don't know what to do anymore. I hope that Lenovo has a warranty and that they could flash it back to normal.
I don't know if it is a problem accessing the META mode on the phone, or bad roms… I tried on one computer with XP, and another with Windows 8.1, and the problem is the same.
ANY HELP would be appreciated, thank you!

    You could try this
    https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Phones/lenovo-k900-stuck-on-lenovo-logo-logo/td-p/1288107
    or
you must checked if your phone is fully charged and they you should try to boot phone in factory mode.

  • Lenovo A606 lock screen - Lenovo Launcher

    Hi.
Yesterday i bought Lenovo A606.  I have one question.
I can cnage my home screen wallpaper but cant change LOCK SCREEN WAllpaper.  When i choose different phone theme it changes but thems are only two
How cah i change my LOCK SCREEN wallpaper ?
If can't be changed where can i download more themes for lenovo launcher ?
Thank you. (Sorry for mistakes, if any. )

There has to be a way/option to change the lock screen wallpaper....I just don't know how to reach that option for the A606.
I dont want to change the default lenovo launcher but themes wich are included for this app are boring and ugly in my opinion. If i cannot change the default themes lockscreen is there any site where i can download more themes for this launcher?
Unfortunately the ROW firmwares are limited to the built in themes.

  • CWM recovery and Rooting Lenovo K3 Note K50-t5

HOW TO ROOT THE LEVONO K3 NOTE K50-T5 This How To describes how to put the ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery onto the Levono K3 Note Model K50-t5 and, using CWM Recovery, root it. The method was generated from notes that I took of Root Junky’s YouTube video on the subject and what I actually carried out on my Lenovo. I fully acknowledge Root Junk’s methodology and prior work. Other similar methods exist but I had trouble with fully understanding the steps. DisclaimerAny modification to firmware and OS could possibly brick the device and neither the author or the web sites assumes any responsibility or loss from your actions. You take all responsibility for the outcomes of following the following procedures. I would also like to know why the product is not here on Lenovo Support.  I purchased mine from Vickmall EU wharehouse (#link_below) where it says "Newest 1520 multi-language rom".  Vickmall does not mention on the site anything about it being a "china only" phone, and obviously don't consider it to be since they converted it over to multilingual.  In any event, it should be formally supported by Lenovo, especially since the phone did not come with any software or English documentation.  I think Lenovo Support needs to make whatever ROM Vickmall used and instructions on how to use it for others who don't have access to it.

    How to root 4.0.4 (4.1.B.0.587 & 4.1.B.0.431)
We cannot root 4.1.B.0.587 directly, so to root it we first flash 4.1.A.0.562 kernel, run the rooting toolkit and in the end flash 4.1.B.0.587 kernel.
Few devices don't have their own 4.1.A.0.562 kernel, so we need to flash the 4.1.A.0.562 kernel of other devices just to root. However all devices have 4.1.B.0.587 kernel.
    Follow all the steps.
Go to settings > Security > Mark  "Unknown sources"
Settings > Developer options > Mark USB debugging
Settings > Xperia > connectivity > USB connection mode > select MSC mode
    Download Flashtool
    Windows Users > Flashtool
Linux Users > Flashtool ( From previous release tab, download 0.9.0.0 version)
After installing flashtool, reboot your PC.
1 ) Download the respective 4.1.A.0.562 kernel to flash
Arc and Arc S  - Kernel
         Ray                -  Kernel
         Neo/Neo V      -  Kernel
         LwW, Mini       - Kernel
         Active             -  Kernel
         Neo L             -  Kernel
All other users -  Kernel or even try the kernels for Arc S and Ray
    2) Go to C:/ Drive > flashtool > firmwares > delete everything present and put the downloaded kernel
    3)  Run Flashtool > click on the flashing icon ( left side below "file" option)
    Select flashmode > ok
Setup should be like this > select OK
    Flashtool Setup Screenshot
Follow the steps, connect your mobile and flash. Note: on devices with touch navigation keys, hold volume down key instead of back button while connecting your device.
Flashtool may show error after flashing kernel, no worries. Even your build number and android version won't change. Everything would remain same so please don't visit phone's settings to check anything
    4) After flashing restart your device, It may not start completely, may remain at Sony logo or with blank/black screen.
Whatever the status is, just restart your device and proceed with the rooting >
    Download Rooitng toolkit > 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 and extract it.
( Make sure you close flashtool before running the rooting toolkit )
Now  connect your mobile to PC ( Mobile should be ON)  and wait for 2 minutes. Then run the rooting toolkit. When it says all done, close it. disconnect your phone and switch it off ( By pressing power button/ or by taking out the battery and reinserting it).
    5) Download Kerenls, If you are on 4.1.b.0.431 rom then download the respective kernel, same goes for 4.1.B.0.587
For Neo L > Download the kernel version on which your phone is running 4.1.B.0.626 or  4.1.B.0.631
    Xperia
    4.1.B.0.431
    4.1.B.0.587

    Kernel
Now flash the kernel ( same procedure as step 2 and 3 above )
Your mobile should now b rooted (See if any Superuser app has been installed on your phone ) and working fine again.
Please let me know how did it go for you by posting below, it will be great if you like the guide as well here > http://www.facebook.com/GuideToFlashRootXperiaNabeel

    2. Enable Unknown Sources & USB debugging in Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Unknown Sources & Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB Debugging

    4. Flash -- ... [ Leave FlashTool running] --
    5. Remove usb cable
    6. Power on device
    7. Immediately connect usb cab...
    13. Power on your phone and phone will be rooted.
This method this will not wipe ur existing data.
    FOR INSTALLING RECOVERY
How to install recovery based on this:
U can either wait for Flashtool to be updated
    OR
    Do the following:
    1. Download Z xRecovery-0.3_GBready
    2. [OPTIONAL] If u dont have ADB then download minimal adb
    3. Extract the GBready xRecovery to c:\
    4. Run the following to push the recovery files to temporary directory (/data/local/tmp/)
    Code:
    adb push c:\xRecovery-0.3_GBready\system\bin\chargemon /data/local/tmp/.
    adb push c:\xRecovery-0.3_GBready\system\bin\charger /data/local/tmp/.
    adb push c:\xRecovery-0.3_GBready\system\xbin\sh /data/local/tmp/.
    adb push c:\xRecovery-0.3_GBready\system\xbin\xrecovery.tar /data/local/tmp/.
    5. Remount /system using adb shell (keep screen active/unlocked to accept/allow the Superuser request)
    Code:
    adb shell
    su
    busybox mount -o remount,rw /system
    6. Now copy the files to correct location & correct the permissions (within the adb shell from above step)
    Code:
    cp /data/local/tmp/chargemon /system/bin/.
    cp /data/local/tmp/charger /system/bin/.
    cp /data/local/tmp/sh /system/xbin/.
    cp /data/local/tmp/xrecovery.tar /system/xbin/.
    chmod 0755 /system/bin/chargemon
    chmod 0755 /system/bin/charger
    chmod 0755 /system/xbin/sh
    chmod 0755 /system/xbin/xrecovery.tar
    7. Done now reboot and enjoy full rooted stock rom with recovery
    Trouble-shooting:
incase adb server doesnt start try the following-
    •try rebooting PC
•exit flashtool and other adb requiring services!
•preferably exit antivirus & close all other apps
    OR
Replace file recoveryX10.tar.bz2 in FlashTool\custom\xRecovery with file from new folder in this zip >>> FlashTool xRecovery Patch

The rooting part is for Stock SE 2.3.3 FW...
The installing recovery part is for all ROMs based on SE 2.3.3 FW... if the Dev of ur ROM has not yet included the latest xRecovery posted by Z ONLY then install the recovery! else wait for the ROM dev to include it in that ROM..
i am posting this because many ppl are getting confused over the slightly "complicated" process...

  • Finding out how much root space does each app take...

Hello! I was wondering if there is a way to find out how much root space does each installed app take, like a X-terminal command or something? Just want to figure out if i have some "non-optified" programmes (I believe this is the right term, but could very well be wrong) Cheers

    Thaaaaats better
Wow.. MC is a freaking space hog! 5meg of root space
libmagic is interesting.. not sure what needs that.. it's used by software to tell what file type a file is.. it can look at a jpeg, for example and tell you it is a jpg.. clever stuff really (it doesn't use the file extension like windows) so I assume this is possibly midnight commander too..
Out of all the extra packets you've installed, they're using 19,184,792 bytes of root space.. 18meg..
5meg is midnight commander, 3 meg is QT3 support (not sure why you have that) and another 1.3meg is libmagic and 2 meg is some Python stuff..
Killing off midnight commander would free some space... (why this isn't on /opt, I don't know) but realistically you've not used too much.. you should be fine!
    ---edit---
I finished re-reading your post, not just the log file.. HA!! The funny thing is, doing this command line stuff is second nature to me.. I frequently do it in my sleep The N900 is therefore the ideal phone for someone of this disposition.. I need to find out blah statistics.. erm.. COMMAND LINE
If you want to wander down such a particularly perverse path, I'm happy to help out and newbieness is always forgiven
But it just shows what you can get away with using nothing more than litterally a few command line commands! pretty neat really!

  • How to Root a Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 2015 version

I am not responsible for any damage that may affect your Device! Rooting is the first step to customise your device. Without rooting absolutely 'extraordinary' nothing is possible. Yes your warranty becomes void after that. So chill. No matter where you read that its very risky or something like that, I'll say refrain from going to those sites. They are just putting unnecessary fear into your mind. Most probably they fear You could make your device function better than them.So lets go on with it. I've made it simple for you. Just follow the steps. Step 1: Download and install Kingo Android Root. (THE LAST VERSION)Step 2: Double click the desktop icon of Kingo Android Root and launch it.Step 3: Plug your Android device into your computer via USB cable.Step 4: Enable USB Debugging mode on your Android device.USB Debugging mode enabled is a necessary step of Android rooting process.*INPORTANT: Pay attention to your device screen for a prompt window. Tick "Always allow from this computer". If you don't, you will probably get yourself an OFFLINE DEVICE.5. Read notifications carefully before rooting your device.6. Click "ROOT" to root your device.Kingo Android Root will employ multiple exploits on your device, which will probably take a couple of minutes. In the rooting process, your device may be rebooted several times. Do not be panic, it is perfectly normal. And once it begins, please DO NOT touch, move, unplug or perform any operation on your device.7. Root succeeded, click "Finish" to reboot your device.8. Check the root status of your device.9-Enjoy your Root in your new Lenovo Tab 2 A10 *Android rooting is a modification process to the original system, in which the limitations are removed and full-access is allowed and thus resulting in the ability to alter or replace system applications and settings, run specialized apps and even facilitate the removal and replacement of the device's operating system with a custom one. Rooting your device will immediately void your warranty...
