How to rotate a face without creating a white haze???

I have selected a face in an image with the lasso tool and now i want to rotate the face. When i do that by using 'image' 'transform' i can rotate the face but around the face appears a white light. Does anyone know how to get rid of that or knows what i am doing wrong??

I'm guessing you used the Free Transform tool to rotate the selection. When you do this the "old" portion is replaced by the current color as defined in the background color chip at the bottom of the toolbar, and again I'm guessing this was white. Was that your scenario?
Here I selected the balloon and used Free Transform to rotate the balloon and got the white.
Rather than doing that I copied/pasted the selection to a new layer and rotated it with the Move tool (which does the same as the Free Transform).
Then I added a new layer and used the Clone tool to replace the original balloon excess with adjacent sky. The cloning could be done on the Background layer; I added the blank layer just to preserve the original.

If you have not booted the MBA for the first time and gone through the Setup Assistant, then I would use the Setup Assistant to make the transfer before you even create another user account. However, if you've already created the new user account on the MBA, then create a new admine one with a different username than the account you will migrate. Log into this new account, delete the first account you made, then use Migration Assistant to transfer your account from the MBP.

Right after installing OS X the computer has to be rebooted, and that's when one creates a user account.
Should I just turn the machine off after the install instead of rebooting?

In many new cases, Save As is now called Duplicate in ML. It uses the same command-S keystroke. Older apps still have Save As. When you do a Duplicate operation, you will create an UNTITLED document. You have to save that duplicated document to complete the process.
So in 10.6.x, you would do ...
* Save As ...
* Give the file a new name + Chose the location for the file
* Click the Save button
Now in 10.8.x, you do ...
* Duplicate ...
* Save ...
* Give the file a name + Chose the location for the file
* Click the Save button
As baltwo mentioned, you have to search the Preferences of your browser to determine what is has set for the default Download folder.

How can we load apps without creating an Apple ID for each employee?

We have at least two apps that we'd like to distribute to our company iPads. We would like to hand the employee the iPad with everything loaded. We don't care if they create their own Apple ID and manage it after the fact but when the employee gets the iPad, it should have the apps they require.
How do we load these apps without creating an Apple ID for each employee? If we load the apps from App Store with our Apple ID, the app requires that username and password whenever there is an update. The employee can not update the app without our username and password or they have to delete and reinstall the app with their own credentials. Is there a way to load an app so that it doesn't require the credentials of the person that loaded it whenever there's an update?

I am measuring signals when the PFIO input is triggered. This occurs at a variable rate, but in the khz range. I need to place a time-stamp every 100ms or so on the measurements, but I am not sure how to do this without creating a 100ms delay in the program.
Sorry if this question seems a bit basic... I recently took a crash course in Labview to solve the current prob. I am using version 4.1

The major issue is that the time your timestamp is read is not deterministic for a couple of reasons.
The timestamp is created at some time before it is added to the start of the array. The time this occurs, whether before the data acquisition or after, is not determined. The code is parallel. In actual practice, it will tend to be about the same offset each time (see second point below), but if you modify the code, this offset could easily change. Note that LabVIEW 4.1 does execute the items in a diagram in a sequence. However, you do not have much control over what that sequence is. It tends to be the order the objects were dropped into the diagram, moderated by data flow constraints.
You are relying on the OS to give you reliable timing. Most desktop OSes have a normal jitter of about 10ms, and it could go to seconds in some cases (e.g. a large e-mail arrives).
Your solution is to use hardware timing. Set up one of the counters on the MIO board to run freely using one of the internal clocks. When you read your data, read the timer as well. You may be able to synchronize this by using a buffer for the data reads and one for the timer. It has been a long time since I used this type of board, but I think you can set it up to simultaneously acquire both counter and analog data. You only need the first point of the counter data, which can then be converted to a timestamp based on the clock speed. You will need to account for rollovers in the counter.

But here my issue is, without creating triggers / Alerts , i have to run the utl package.

Oracle provides various business events for material issue/transactions from inventory (For e.g.,oracle.apps.inv.miscIssue, oracle.apps.inv.subinvTransfer, oracle.apps.wip.job.material.transact, etc.).
First check what kind of transactions happen when the On-hand is consumed. Then Go to any Workflow Admin responsibility >> Business Events: Events >> Search for the event you are looking for >>Hit Update >> Enable the event >> Navigate to Subscription and associate your PLSQL pacakge. let me know if it helps.

Need help rotating a drawing without creating distortion

I have drawn something in Illustrator CS3 using the shape tools and have addded a few effects. I want to rotate this shape at different angles and use it throughout my project. When I free rotate it becomes distorted and no longer looks like what I had drawn. Is there a way to lock the drawing, so that when I rotate it, it stays in tact?

It is usuallly and best not to use the free transform tool fo this tye or rotation or movement.
Use Effects>Distort and Transform>Transform
if you need to distort it use the Free Distort tool also under the Distort and Transform Effect.
The good thing about these is that you can always get back to where you began and if you had CS 4 you can turn them on and off
and so you can have multiple adjustments that can be turned on and off at will as long as you are using CS 4 or later.
In your case though you can always delete them and you can see what your settings are and you can change them without starting all over.

As far as I know this is not possible.
Directory Server 6 will not create any instance at install time... But there is still a little bit of time before it is publicly available.

How do i rotate a video without clipping off parts of it?

Can someone tell me how to do this? I know how to rotate from the help forums:
Rotate a clip
Select the clip in the Timeline.
In the Effects view, click the Edit Effects button.
Expand the Motion effect in the Properties view, and do one of the following:Drag the underlined value to the right of Rotation.
Click Rotate Left or Rotate Right to rotate the clip 90° in either direction.
But when i do this, it chops off the top and bottom portions of my video. I instructed it to leave video aspect ratio, but it wont do so. It still chops off the top and bottom.
Any suggestions? If it helps, its a .avi movie as recorded from a digital camera.
BTW, my free Google Picasa did this in seconds with no aspet ration change with 1 button.....just sayin'

What you need to do is now treat your vertical image. In most cases, I find it preferable to use the fixed Effect>Motion>Scale, and then effectively crop off parts of the top, or the bottom, or both. This has the disadvantage of having to Scale the image up, and it will begin to degrade in quality, so keep a close eye out for that.
Depending on a few factors, one can use certain artistic treatments to use the vertical image in your horizontal Frame: one could use it as a PiP (Picture in Picture), one could create a background, and just use Motion>Scale to drop the vertical dimension to match the vertical dimension of the Frame, letting the background show on probably both sides. Some videographers will shoot two shots with the camera 90 degrees out of orientation, i.e. on its side, when they want a "split-screen," i.e. PiP with two, side-by-side images, and just Rotate both Clips, and align them in the horizontal frame.
Now, what was your purpose for shooting with the camera on its side? What effect were you trying to obtain?
If this was a mounting issue, such as the camera had to be mounted on its side to get it where it was needed, then the trick is to frame less tightly, knowing that you will be effectively cropping off some of the image, when you Rotate.

How do I rotate my video without the video going "blank?"

I have Mac OSX 10.7.4
Quicktime is version 10.1
I am using a .mov file I filmed using my iphone. I filmed it sideways to be widescreen, but when I open it on my mac in quicktime, it appears longways instead of sideways. I go to edit- rotate left, and it rotates, but no video plays. The video is black, but the audio still works.
Any advice on how to rotate it and keep my video?

It sounds as if what you are wanting to do in the Pages application is to insert a Page Break. Follow the steps in this article -

In a word processing document, click where you want the break to occur, and then choose Insert > Page Break.
To remove a page break, click at the beginning of the line that follows the break and press the Delete key.
In a page layout document, to insert a new page in your document, click Pages in the toolbar and choose from the template page options available.

How Would One Go About Making an Object Rotate to Face in Direction of Mouse?

I'm just a teenager who happens to have Flash as part of CS4 Production Premium, which I got as a gift. I don't have any training or previous experience in Flash, and have only just in the past few month been looking into what ActionScript is. I've just been fiddling with Flash in my spare time, just as something to do, and am working on making very basic computer games. Currently I am trying to make a very basic top-down shooter computer game. I've gotten it to where I can move the player (a circle with an arrow on the edge) in eight directions using the standard FPS movement keys (W,A,S,D) and make it move faster for a limited time by holding down the SHIFT key.
But now I've come to a standstill. I am trying to make the player rotate in the direction of the mouse cursor (made to look like crosshairs) so that the player can move in any of the eight directions and aim in any direction at the same time. I've searched the Internet for hours on end, looking for anything that might help, but not a single Web page section relates to this kind of thing. So now I'm giving up on searching for a help article, and am making one instead. Is there anyone that's successfully done this kind of thing before? Or at least someone who actually knows how to properly use ActionScript 3.0 and can figure it out themselves, then tell me what they did? (In the meantime, I've made it so that the player rotates and faces in the direction he is traveling in.)
I've attatched all the code that I've typed to make the game work, so that anyone can look at it and tell me if I'm doing something wrong already. I've only been learning ActionScript by figuring it out on my own as I go (watched a few videos I have on a disc too), and in the case of this game, I've just been making is up as I go, so to all of you people who actually know this stuff pretty well, this code is probably going to look nasty.

I pasted it to the bottom of my code on the main timeline (correcting it for my use), but I get this message in the Compiler Errors window:
Warning: 1090: Migration issue: The onMouseMove event handler is not triggered automatically by Flash Player at run time in ActionScript 3.0. You must first register this handler for the event using addEventListener ( 'mouseMove', callback_handler).
So what do I do about that? (again, I'm just a beginner, so I don't know what any of this means)

How to make iTunes add a folder without creating duplicates?

I have a PC running windows 7. I keep all my music in one folder on a NAS device. I am getting more and more fed up with Windows Media Player (WMP) and I would like to move to iTunes. This move, however, appears to be as painful as using WMP. Please help if you can. I have used iTunes before so I have an existing music and video library and I also have a number of playlists both with music and videos. I cannot afford to start from sratch, i.e., to remove and readd everything; it would be too costly. I have two major problems with iTunes:
1. When I try to add files that already exist in the iTunes library iTunes happily adds these file and creates duplicates. I cannot find a knob that would prevent iTunes from creating these duplicates and simply ignore any found files if they are already present in the library. All such duplicates point to the same file on disk. I am really scratching my head over this as I would think that this would be a very basic thing to do/allow, yet it does not seem to be possible. Is it me missing something simple here or is it Apple telling me that this is how it must be...???
All I want to do is to add the top folder that contains all my music without having to deal with thousands of duplicates. I cannot add the files one-by-one because there are too many of new files there and if I remove all the files and re-add them all my lists will likely become empty (tried it on one list and, as expected, the list got emptied once I removed the files that were in the list). Hmm, is this asking for too much? Please help.
2. I do not seem to see a way to tell iTunes to monitor for new media files. WMP allows you to specify folders to monitor. You add a file to the folder and the file gets added to the library. What is wrong or bad with this concept (other that it would not work if duplicates were handled)? Why does iTunes not seem to support that?

tt2, thank you for your reply. Let me restate your answers the way I see them.
Problem #1: You said that "iTunes only creates duplicates if you ask it to...". Well my goal is not to create duplicates but to avoid them and the problem with iTunes is that it does not seem to offer an easy way to do this. Do not get me wrong, I like iTunes but let's call black black and white white. So the way I read your answer is: no iTunes does not support a way to add the same folder twice without creating duplicates.
Problem #2: The answer to the second question is also no, iTunes does not offer any way to monitor for new files in a folder or folders.
I wish the above were incorrect but from what I hear and from what your wrote I conclude iTunes does not support any of that.
You offered external to iTunes solutions for both problems. Thank you for that! I did not know about this tools. Having said that my iTunes music files are on a NAS device (files not copied to iTunes library), my video files are on NAS but (because of the necessity to convert to iTunes supported format) they were transcoded and stored in iTunes library, my iTunes Store purchases (music) are in the iTunes library and on the NAS (backup - likely duplicates). In short it gets messy very quickly and after reading the NAS and multi-path warnings for the DeDuper tool I am just not jumping on the idea of using it - there would be physical duplicates and I would not want any physical files to be deleted. tt2, do you know if the DeDuper offers a mode where it would present the user with a list of duplicates and allow the user to decide which dups to remove before doing anything? I basically would want to remove the dups from the library but without deleting any physical files.
I will have a closer look at the iTunes Folder Watch program. Unless I am misinterpreting something I think it should do what I want to do.
So again, thank you for your answers and suggestions with the external tools. It is just too bad that iTunes does not support what I (and many others) need natively.
