How to run 2 OSs on Sawtooth

Hi all! I'm going to be purchasing a Sawtooth G4 soon(I hope!) so I'm posting this question in advance so I can plan ahead with what I need to do with the OSs. I'm going to get one with 10.2(at least) already installed on it. But I'm going to need to run 9.2 for awhile because the software I'm running will only work on OS 9. I already own 9.1 on disk and have the 9.2 update handy.
So how do I handle this? Can I have both OSs on the same drive on this future computer or does the drive need to be partitioned? Can someone give me a primer on using 2 OSs on the same machine? How does this work?

As Jason mentioned, you can have OS 9 and OSX on the same drive, on different partitions of a single drive, or on separate drives - or all the above.
OSX was designed to cohabit the same volume (volume = an unpartitioned drive, or a partition of a partitioned drive) as OS 9 without conflict. That's why OS 9 is kept in a folder named System Folder and OSX is kept in a folder named System - there is then no same-name conflict.
Whenever you want to boot to the other OS, you select that OS in Startup Disk and restart.
Many users have found it is advantageous to have OSX and OS 9 on separate volumes -
• It makes a re-install of either OS (should that be necessary) much easier.
• You can then use Startup Manager to select which OS you want the machine to boot to at the time you boot the machine.

If you plan on using OS 9.1 as a boot OS, the Startup Disk control panel that comes with a normal install of OS 9.1 can not 'see' OSX as a valid boot OS, hence OSX can not be selected that way. There is an easy fix for that - download and install an updated Startup Disk control panel -

How to implement OSS notes : 207260

Hi All,
Can anybody please let me know how to impement oss note : 207260.
I need to implement Note : 207260 which is settlement rule for incorrect last used period.In this note its saying to run ZMIGCOBR to repair incorrect settlement rule for incorrect objects. But in this notes its not given any such program.
Please let me know how to implement OSS notes since i never done this before.

The transaction code SNOTE is used to implement OSS Notes. With the SNOTE
transaction, it is no longer necessary to register ABAP objects such as report function
modules etc. manually. But data dictionary objects such as screens, tables need to
be modified manually by registering them in OSS system.
In order to use the transaction code SNOTE, the relevant transport which implement

One of the first steps to do is to upload the note into your system.

as an example

But still the Status of the note is displayed under In Process category.

You can also check the status of the note by checking the meaning of the icon next

To check the legend, follow Utilities à Color Legend
As you can see from the legends box, means Implemented Correctly.
Since the note is implemented, you can change the status of the note from In
Process to Completed manually.

ü SNOTE cannot change or modify data dictionary objects. If there is a note
which requires changes to be made to a structure or a screen then SNOTE will

Hi,
I'm trying to use the SAPgui for Java on Ubuntu 6.06 and I have problems with that. The SAPgui connects to the SAP system problemless.
After couple of minutes the SAPgui for Java always hangs with these messages in terminal:

I'm connecting to SAP Netweaver 04 running on the same computer. I have also tried different versions of Java 1.4, 1.5 and the problem still persists.
From other computers in network the SAPgui for Java runs perfectly against the same SAP system, running on the same Java version as before, on Ubuntu 6.06 or Fedora Core 5 whatever, it runs without any hassles.
I haven't found any remarks on this error on Google, neither on SAP OSS.
Do you think I can raise a question to OSS? I don't think there are some restrictions for SAPGUI for Java regarding use of Linux distribution.

I have console application using which i am trying to run power shell command like 'Get-AssignedAccess' or 'Set-AssignedAccess'.
i am using below code for this it is throwing exception 'Get-AssignedAccess' doesn't exist in cmdlet which is correct because these commands belongs to function category.

I know this doesn't help you much, but, I think you have to see if your Mac pro does audio out via HDMI. I don't even know if mine does via DVI. I think it may have to do with the adapter. Try going into Audio MIDI and setting the digital out to multichannel
and using the toslink cable for now. Lemme see...apparently DVI does not carry audio at all. Hm. apparently monoprice could be helpful? If I understand what you're saying correctly: you want to take DVI and multichannel audio via the Toslink and have it all go out over HDMI, right? Though you can initiate the binary from your client side but for the file creation, there is no other way but to store it on the server side. So your best bet would be to get some space free on the server side of yours.

So far, you haven't specified your rdbms version and isqlplus behaved differently on a 9iR1, 9iR2 from the one release on 10gR1/R2. on 9i it was a servlet based on a JServ servlet executor machine, meanwhile on 10g it is a J2EE compliant application deployed on an OC4J container, so configuration is different.

How to run the form that is only installed on a PC and not using a server?

I am new to Oracle and have taken the forms class. But I do not understand how to run the form from my PC using XP windows. (Do not have access to a server).
I have started the OC4J, made sure the listener was started, compiled the form and then when I run it, it automatically goes to the HTTP:

I connected to the database correctly. I can process a report and it does nor try to access the internet. My only issue is running the form. I verified it compiled.
Sorry for a basic question. Could someone please help, I tried reviewing other questions, but not sure if they are connecting to a server or not.

Regardless of the version, it appears that you may not have configured the Builder. Do the following:
1. Open the Builder
2. From the menu, select Edit > Preferences > Runtime
3. In the box labeled "Application Server URL:", enter a local URL needed to run a form OR click the button labeled "Reset to Default". If you decide to manually enter a value, it would looks something like this:

4. In the field labeled "Web Browser Location:", enter the path and executable to your preferred browser. So for example if IE is your browser of choice the entry would most likely look like this:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE
5. Click on OK and retest.
By the way, you can manually enter a URL in the browser. Clicking the RunForm button from the Builder is strictly optional. To run the "test" form directly from the browser enter the following into the browser's address field:

You should be able to include both modules when building your ear file. Then both the module's war files will be created in the ear file. Access both the applications with their respective /PioneerCycling or /motorprise ( look for context root in application.xml)
If you want to run each application on different server, then
1. create 1 individual instances of jboss server for pioneer and another for motorprise
2. create additional dynamo server using command makeDynamoServer.bat motorprise 8861 8851
3. deploy each one on respective server folders in jboss
Use the appropriate ports to access ( say for ex:)
localhost:8860/pioneer
or
localhost:8861/motorprise

I am a BW consultant and new to webdynpro. Not sure how to run RSO_METADATA_REPOSITORY multiple times and by passing different parameter values each time(either taken from an a standard BW table or user provided - anything is fine) and build web pages with parameter name. Need help with direction on where to start.
Let me step back and explain my requirement:
In BW we have an object called transformation.
One way of generating documentation for transformation is highlight transformation and press F1. Then its documentation will be opened as a local web page.
I need these web pages for all transformations. This is my requirment.
I came to know that RSO_METADATA_REPOSITORY is beeing used to generate this web page.
The web link is something like below:

WHere to start? First of all is RSO_METADATA_REPOSITORY Webdynpro JAVA or webdynpro ABAP or can i use anything?
Since it is beeing opened as local webpages i assume it is webdynpro JAVa is that correct?
