How to run component

    I am new to Enterprise Portal. I used to work with EP5 using jakarta-tomcat-3.3.1a using PDK plugins I am using eclipse I used to develop small components. I used to develop the portal application using eclipse in the following way
    File->newProject->SAP Portal Development Tools ->Portal Component Project
    When I am searching in SDN site I found Eclipse Plug-in for the PDK V1.1.7 so I downloaded and extracted to eclipse into respective folder.
     Now I got one more feature added to my eclipse now I created new project as follows
     File->newProject->PortalApplication->Create a Portal Application Project
I got different folder structure to the earlier project. I created one .java file in src.api and I build the java file and it successfully build I updated my portalapp.xml file as follows

But when I am trying to execute the same using eclipse editor it is giving page not found error
Can any body help in this ..
Is there any thing to be done extra to the sever side
Is there any other procedure to run the component

from your posting (portalapp.xml) you are now developing on EP6 instead of EP5?!

Why this, for sure you are not on EP6 SP1?!
For SP2 please use Eclipse Plug-in for the PDK V1.2.0

?!?!?! You cannot "execute" the component from within Eclipse, but deploy into the portal. From Java Development Role (comes with PDK), you can start the component.

You always have the option of dumping the file uploading component and just using the Apache FileUpload API in a servlet - then you'll have full control over what happens when without any additional configuration needed.

How to run oid on oc4j

Hi All,
I am new to oc4j. I have configured oid on weblogic and after that on oc4j. But i dont know how to run oid in oc4j. When i shutdown wls_ods1 in weblogic domain,oid doesnt work. So please tell me how to run oid in oc4j and how to check which managed server get deployed in oc4j,like we did in weblogic using "http://localhost:7001". Also whether it is possible to install and configure oid without using weblogic.

OC4J is restricted to Application Server 10g only. In FMW11g, OC4J is not used at all.
When managed server wls_ods1 is not up and running, you won't be able to access the Oracle Directory Services Manager. OID itself should be fully functional as it doesn't require any WebLogic components.
You can check the status of the OID 11g components with opmn status -l, e.g.

How to run file-to-file scenario

Hello,
I have just done my first exercise in XI, File-to-File Scenario.
I ran the scenario in RWB in Component Monitoring by giving the Payload from the Message Mapping. It ran successfully.
But I am not able to run the same scenario by giving my source file. What are the inputs to be given while running the scenario to read from the Input File ?
Could any help me out, how to run my scenario using my Input File.

then check the sender channel and Receiver channel
check the path of sender channel and put the payload file that is check message mapping and test it a
after the testing copy the file and store in to the folder that you have
created
and
in Receiver channel same thing give the path of the target folder and
chcek in to the runtime workbench
there is no any prob in the runtime workbench means its showing the succsfulley in RW and file on coming in to the target system
if all work correctly then also not showing means the file is in queue
so Refrsh the queue athewise delete the queue

I urgently need to know how to run the code generator using creator. Can anyone assist? I cant find any tips in the forums.

I am following the procedure to create a new custom component (or extend an existing component) available at http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jscreator/reference/techart/2/writing_custom_components.html.
Part of the procedure says: you need to use the JSC to run the code generator based on sun-faces-config.xml metadata.

1)You have to create a J2EE Web Application project.
2)Then create a servlet in this project.
3)Once you are done coding the servlet, create a J2EE EAR project.
4)Add the Web project to EAR project.
5)Open application.xml in EAR project, goto modules section, select web component, specify the context root (like /mycontext)
6)Build and deploy EAR.
You can run your servlet as:
http://<server>:<port>/mycontext/<servlet-name>

I have console application using which i am trying to run power shell command like 'Get-AssignedAccess' or 'Set-AssignedAccess'.
i am using below code for this it is throwing exception 'Get-AssignedAccess' doesn't exist in cmdlet which is correct because these commands belongs to function category.

I know this doesn't help you much, but, I think you have to see if your Mac pro does audio out via HDMI. I don't even know if mine does via DVI. I think it may have to do with the adapter. Try going into Audio MIDI and setting the digital out to multichannel
and using the toslink cable for now. Lemme see...apparently DVI does not carry audio at all. Hm. apparently monoprice could be helpful? If I understand what you're saying correctly: you want to take DVI and multichannel audio via the Toslink and have it all go out over HDMI, right? Though you can initiate the binary from your client side but for the file creation, there is no other way but to store it on the server side. So your best bet would be to get some space free on the server side of yours.

So far, you haven't specified your rdbms version and isqlplus behaved differently on a 9iR1, 9iR2 from the one release on 10gR1/R2. on 9i it was a servlet based on a JServ servlet executor machine, meanwhile on 10g it is a J2EE compliant application deployed on an OC4J container, so configuration is different.

How to run the form that is only installed on a PC and not using a server?

I am new to Oracle and have taken the forms class. But I do not understand how to run the form from my PC using XP windows. (Do not have access to a server).
I have started the OC4J, made sure the listener was started, compiled the form and then when I run it, it automatically goes to the HTTP:
ERROR: res://ieframe.dll/acr_depnx_error.htm#,http://kevin:8889/forms/frmservle
I connected to the database correctly. I can process a report and it does nor try to access the internet. My only issue is running the form. I verified it compiled.
Sorry for a basic question. Could someone please help, I tried reviewing other questions, but not sure if they are connecting to a server or not.
I see webutil but is it required if I don't have a server? Thank you in advance.

Regardless of the version, it appears that you may not have configured the Builder. Do the following:
1. Open the Builder
2. From the menu, select Edit > Preferences > Runtime
3. In the box labeled "Application Server URL:", enter a local URL needed to run a form OR click the button labeled "Reset to Default". If you decide to manually enter a value, it would looks something like this:
http://localhost:8889/forms/frmservlet
4. In the field labeled "Web Browser Location:", enter the path and executable to your preferred browser. So for example if IE is your browser of choice the entry would most likely look like this:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE
5. Click on OK and retest.
By the way, you can manually enter a URL in the browser. Clicking the RunForm button from the Builder is strictly optional. To run the "test" form directly from the browser enter the following into the browser's address field:
http://localhost:8889/forms/frmservlet?form=test
