How to run CS6 more effectively

I made the jump from FCP7 to the Creative Suite for obvious reasons and I am in general happy with my transition except for the fact that while working with Premiere and After Effects together with RED 4K footage, my computer begins to slow down and heat up significantly. It is so bad that I don't feel I am wokring efficiently.
Here are the specs for my 2011 MacBookPro
OSX 10.8.3
processor 2.3 GHz i7
memory 8GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB
I am more than willing to buy a new computer that can keep up with my editing demands (if that is the issue) but I want to make sure that I make the right purchase as I hear all kinds of different opinions on this matter:
"Buy a PC."
"Your graphics card is all that matters"
ETC....
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Error message - can't run CS6 After Effects

Installed on my macbook pro with OSX 10.9.5 is the CS6 student edition master collection and for the past year I've been able to use all programs I've tried to use, however, when I went to use After Effects yesterday for the first time, I was unable to. I received the following error message: "You can't use this version of the application 'Adobe After effects CS6 with this version of OSX. You have Adobe After Effects CS6 11.0." So, I went to adobe.com and tried to download the upgrades 11.0.1, 11.0.2, 11.0.3, and 11.0.4. After downloading 11.0.4 and clicking on the red folder, I received the following error message for 'After Effects Trial - 11.0.4-mul-AdobeUpdater: "Update Failed. Could not be applied. Contact customer service." Tried this multiple times, no luck. So then I read more on the adobe site and ended up registering for Creative Cloud to obtain the updates for CS6. Adobe recognized that my computer had CS6, provided me with a list of updates, I chose to update all (which took an hour), then, according to the creative cloud, all of my software has been updated. Then I restarted my computer. However, when I clicked in finder/applications on AfterEffectsCS6, I received the same error message. Creative Cloud still says all of my apps were updated. However, After Effects still won't work and looking at the application on my computer, it still says version 11.0 and the date is last year. Why does Creative Cloud show that my programs have been updated and yet my applications don't reflect that? What do I need to do to get CS6 After Effects working? I have a school project due and I've already spent way too much time trying to figure out this problem at the expense of my project. Please help!

Chocchocm have you removed and reinstall Adobe After Effects CS6? I would recommend using the uninstallers available in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder to remove your installed Adobe Creative software. You can then reinstall Master Collection CS6 utilizing the retail installation files available at Download CS6 products.

How do I get more effects on Macbook Pro?

I went to my friend's house yesterday for Christmas dinner and we went on her Mac and went on photobooth and started goofing around and taking silly pictures. Then my sister kept clicking the 'next arrow' and there were more effects that I've never seen on my Macbook Pro. Can I have the same effects as a Mac on my macbook pro? Like bug eyes, frog, lovestruck, etc? How do I do that? Thanks!

How is running Vista(after effects) on the new G5?

I'm about to purchase the dual quad core 2.8ghz and I'm interested in adding Vista on it. Anyone who has this combination I like to hear their experiences. Does it run fast in general? Any potential problems?
I also may be using some graphic application softwares including after effects or 3D related stuff.

If you want to run Windows Vista inside/alongside OS X together, then a VM is fine but can limit performance and use of 8-cores and memory.
BootCamp Assistant helps install XP or Vista on the same drive as OS X to run natively.
Putting Vista on Mac Pro can be done just formatting another internal drive. Once it is running, there are Apple drivers on your Leopard DVD to add hardware layer support.
I prefer Fusion for virtualization then just went running Vista natively. Tricking XP to install and run on Macs does need help from Boot Camp. I started using Vista before BC existed, just install and go.

How can I do GR/IR clearing more effectively

I was required to do GR/IR clearing for 2 quarters in 2013. Those accounts are very old, and I found lots of GRs are still open because no IR posted against. I was instructed to confirm with every PO creater to see if all the payments have been made to this vendor. Way totime consuming and many people have moved and no longer in the position.
Do everyone know how to do it more effectively? I have tried F.13, MR11, and because there's no IR against the GR, none of th ways really help me solve the problem. Thanks.

Some are free and some are for purchase.
You cant buy presets. Maybe you can swap them with someone but I dont know how.

You should be able to include both modules when building your ear file. Then both the module's war files will be created in the ear file. Access both the applications with their respective /PioneerCycling or /motorprise ( look for context root in application.xml)
If you want to run each application on different server, then
1. create 1 individual instances of jboss server for pioneer and another for motorprise
2. create additional dynamo server using command makeDynamoServer.bat motorprise 8861 8851
3. deploy each one on respective server folders in jboss
Use the appropriate ports to access ( say for ex:)
localhost:8860/pioneer
or
localhost:8861/motorprise

Can I run CS6 After Effects Fast Preview on my iMac with Graphics ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 MB?

Okay - thats great wasn't down for the expense of buying a new mac but is there a reason why my preview is cutting off or choppy. This is the reason I asked in the first place. I can't seem to get After Effects to run the full the length of the animation without it stopping in the middle and looping to the the beginning.

I have 2 or more main classes in a java project. How do I create more than one application entry point in my MANIFEST.INF? I create my jar file from my java project using Eclipse, and it asked me to "Select the class of the application entry point". I was only able to select one main class.
I noticed the MANIFEST.INF file that eclipse generated looks like:
Manifest-Version: 1.0
Main-Class: Automobile
When I tried to run my other classes not specify in the MANIFEST.INF it failed and only look for the Automobile class:

Your app. can have as many entry points as you like, as atmguy demonstrated. But you can only specify one in the manifest,which - if you think about it - makes perfect sense. How is the machine to determine - from you clicking on the jar - which entry point you meant to invoke?

Yes you can install more RAM. Up to 6 GBs. Two - 200-pin PC2-5300 (667MHz) DDR2 SO-DIMMs. For the maximum use one 4 GB and one 2 GB. Otherwise install a pair of 2 GB modules for a total of 4 GBs.
You can purchase suitable RAM at DataMem or OWC. OWC also has video tutorials on installation.
