Hi, I downloaded the PQA software. I just want to run it in evaluation mode before decide to purchase. Could you tell me how to run evaluation version? Thanks,

Hi testpqa,
It should prompt you to put in a serial number or allow you to continue in evaluation mode for 30 days. I recommend looking in the "readmeNIPQA.html" file from the download to make sure you made the correct order of installation, and then you should able to run for 30 days just fine.

If you want to upgrade ( i Guess this is what you want) evaluation edition to enterprise or standard you need to run Ent/ standard edition from setup.exe installation window will pop up on that select maintenance on left side and then select edition
upgrade.

How to run different versions of Apache Tomcat on one machine?

Hi, I am developing a web application. My application runs on Apache Tomcat 5.5.12 and i am using jdk 1.5_03. My application detects files that are automatically scanned to a specific directory and queues them for capture in a database.
The scanner software (HP Toolbox) is also a web application (Unfortunately), it installs itself with Apache Tomcat 4.03. It is "wired" in a specialised way (not the way you would usually deploy web apps). So the Web server is customised by HP (Hewlett-Packard).
The scanner needs this software running inorder to automatically scan to a specified folder. You can only specify local directories to scan to from the Toolbox application
There seems to be some resource conflict when I run my version of Tomcat when the Toolbox application is running (I get an exception
..IllegalMonitorState...current thread not owner). Visa vera is alos true..if i start my application first the Toolbox application won't run.
I tried to install the Toolbox app on another machine and monitor a directory remotely...this doesn't work because you can't read or write to remote files from a servlet or JSP.
I tried loading my application in the web apps directory of Apache 4.03 but it did not detect my application. I don't know how to configure the Tomcat customised by HP.
How can i go about this problem? Is there a way of running two versions of Apache Tomcat on one machine?

This is the exception i get when i try to run my version of Apache Tomcat when the Toolbox is running: My application is set to port 80.

How to run QuickTime Version 7

Hi all, an elementary question I'm sure, plse forgive me. I'm trying to run Skype (latest version on my imac). Downloaded that s'ware but it won't run without at least Version 7 of QuickTime (I previously had V 6.4 of QT). So, I've now downloaded V7 of QT. In the download log it had the message: "can't run". Didn't think anything of it, tried to open the QuickTime application on my desktop and I get the message that it doesn't know what application to use to open/run the Quicktime file. What do I do know? I don't know what application I need to choose? Shouldn't it just open/install by me double clicking on the icon?

If you just downloaded QT the version is 7.6 and it requires Mac OS X v10.4.10 or later. Here's 7.5 for Panther.

Note that this version requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or higher so you may need to update Panther.
QT should download as a .dmg file. If you double click on the file it will place a new drive icon on your desktop and contained inside that will be the Installer package.

How to run two versions of OS?

I need to use iDVD 4.0, but it doesn't seem to work right under OS 10.4. On the other hand, I need to use OS 10.4 for some applications. Can I install OS 10.4 on an external hard disk and boot off of it? If so, how do I boot off the external disk? And then when I'm done how do I boot off 10.3, which I will leave intact on the main disk?

I think it does! it is a matter of the options chosen on one of the upgrades. You may get an answer to this from someone better informed than I am on this topic.

If I understand your question correctly,you want to execute different version of TCD and SAPGUI continously,then please find the steps below:
1)Create a new script.
2)Call the individual scripts created in TCD and SAPGUI in the new script using REF command in the pattern you want to execute.
3)eCATT will automatically choose the relevant version automatically suitable for the system.
4)Maintain the input and output paramters in the main script.
5)Paramterize the input and output values.
6)Once the script is without errors,you can execute the scripts and they run continously.

Running 2 versions of OSX at once

I have my hard drive partitioned and am running Snow Leopard on one (so I can use some older power pc applications) and lion on the other. Is it possible to virtually run both at the same time? I downlaoded Parallels Desktop 7, but I don't see how to run another version of OSX with that. It only wants to run Windows. Will Fusion work for this, or perhaps another program? Or am I stuck running one at a time with Boot Camp?

VMware Fusion v4 will run Lion on a Snow Leopard system (I'm doing this on my Snow Leopard iMac), but not the other way around (as the Snow Leopard license does not allow this, and all the virtual machine vendors honor the license). I suspect the latest version of Parallels and VirtualBox might be able to do the same thing.
Your Mac needs to have more than 2GB of RAM, as Lion will want VMware Fusion to create a virtual machine with at least 2GB (which gets locked down, so it is not available for other apps).

How can i measure only the valley voltages of a sine wave in labview 7 express evaluation version?

I am trying to convince my company to send me to purchase labview and send me to classes for labview.
I am trying to put together a small demo for them using the Labview 7 express evaluatin copy that I recieved.
What I am wondering is how can filter out everything besides the valley peaks on a sine wave.
What I am trying to accomplish, is create an example showing that Labview can sameple from a sine wave, read about 5 "valley" points of the wave, evaluate these based on a value that i can define, and signal pass or fail.

Hi,
I built a VI using LabVIEW 7.0 that detects the valleys in a sine wave. It uses the 'Peak detector' VI that I believe is available in the evaluation version.
(Functions palette >> All Functions >> Analyze >> Signal Processing >> Time Domain >> Peak Detector)
I have attached a VI as well as the screen shots its front panel and block diagram.

How to activate Windows Server 2012 Datacenter evaluation version with product key provided on MSDN's student account

I downloaded
Windows Server 2012 Evaluation Version recently. Actually, I wanted to check whether i could run Windows Phone 8 emulator on Win server 2012 using my core2duo (Non-SLAT PC). Now i wanted to activate the evaluated version by using product key of my
MSDN's student account. But its giving error when i enter my product key. I checked this article about converting evaluation version to full retail version. The article
says :
"If the server is a domain controller, you cannot convert it to a retail version. In this case, install an additional
domain controller on a server that runs a retail version and remove AD DS from the domain controller that runs on the evaluation version."
So kindly guide as to how I can install this additional domain controller and how to remove AD DS from domain controller. Currently, I have Dual Boot PC( win 8.1 and win server 2012).

Unless you have configured a whole lot of things into the DC running on the evaluation copy (should never install production on an evaluation copy), it would be simplest to start from scratch and reinstall.
Or, you simply go into Server Manager > Manage > Add Roles and Features to remove the AD role. Then you will be back to a workgroup server.
The evaluation version is good for 180 days plus three re-arms of 30 days each. So you can do a lot of experimenting with the evaluation copy without the need for using an MSDN key.

I downloaded TestStand 4.0 from NI site. When I installed and run it for evaluation, it gives a login dialogue wherein username is administrator and I am supposed to enter password.
Is this required for Evaluation version, if yes, What am I supposed to enter in there?
Please respond as to how to start using/evaluating tool.

I'm running Pages version 5.2 on a Desktop Mac version 10.9.2. With the Pages app open how do I use the Time Machine to go back five hours to see my page? Can I access Time Machine within an app like Pages? How do I enter Time Machine within the application? It always takes me to the Finder. I apolgise for the mumbo jumbo. I simply do not know how to use Time Machine. It makes sense when I follow the Tutorial but then I lose it.

OK. You've kind of skipped over the reason why you want to go back five hours, but my assumption would be that you've made changes to a Pages file that you want to revert.
There are two ways to tackle this. From Pages itself, open the current version of your document, and from the File menu, click Revert To, and Browse All Versions. You'll then be in the Time Machine interface for that file, and can browse back to the version you want.
Or, outside of Pages, you can select the file (or the folder it was originally in, if you've since deleted it) and enter Time Machine from the TM menu (it sounds like you've already tried this?)
