I want to run EXE from Applet ...
I tried it .. It runs good at Normal Case...
But when I embed it with HTML it provides Access Denied Exception...
can anyone give me the idea for Invoking an EXE From Applets loaded in browser....

Hey Guys, I'm new around here and with mac technology as well. Anyway, I have an iMac OS X 10.5.1 Leopard and I've recently purchased the Virtual PC for Mac 7.0.2 software. So I'd like to know how to use this program properly, because I need to run some executable files in my computer. It is confusing for me because I don't know how to get started, and I only get to the part when it says "OS not found, Install an OS on this hard drive".
Honestly I've no idea of what an OS is or where do I get that. So I'd really appreciate if one of you guys could tell me, step by step, what to do to use Virtual PC properly, and finally learn how to run .exe files on mac.

This brings up the second part of your problem. The first part is setting up either a proper Virtual Machine program like Parallels or VMfusion, or setting up a Boot Camp partition on your drive.

OS stands for Operating System. You are running Leopard 10.5.7 as an operating system on your Mac (MacOS X).
The second part of your problem - You will need a copy of Windows XP or Vista if you want to run Windows on your Mac.
There is at least one other solution for running Windows programs on a Mac. It's called "CrossOver" by a company named 'Codeweavers'. It's based on a project for "Wine" to be able to run PC programs on a Mac or Linux, without having to buy or install Windows. It works with a narrow subset of Windows programs so you would want to make sure the program you want to run is compatible with CrossOver before you buy it.

In addition to all the above information, you need to upgrade your Mac to the latest 10.5.7 from 10.5.1. "Software Update" is located under the black Apple icon in the Menu Bar at the top left corner of your monitor. After you are updated you will want to update your Profile here so that it shows the proper OS version.
With your level of experience with MacOS X and the Windows OS's you should probably get some help from a local Apple store. They have an appointment system and do offer many types of help and training, and they can offer assistance with choosing the proper programs for you to purchase for your machine.

Though you can initiate the binary from your client side but for the file creation, there is no other way but to store it on the server side. So your best bet would be to get some space free on the server side of yours.

p_fec_uno and p_fec_dos they are the parameters in the report

I searched for a work item type in the developer studio and it showed the results, but could not find out how to run it from there.. I know we can run it from there.. There is no run button or options available.
Do i need to setup some profile options ?

Are you logged in as the Workflow Administrator or a user who has been assigned that responsibility?
Have a look on the Administration tab and it will show you who is configured as the admin.

ODI provides web based UI for running the scenarios using Metadata Navigator (read only of ur ODI components) and Lighweight designer (u can edit the mapping here).
Please explore how to install metadata navigator in ODI and have a look at ODI Setup document for more information.

In our project we are using this type. Since in this project server in UNIX(DEC) and client is running on windows. We have created a listener which always listen requests from client and doing the according to the request.
Step1. create a request table, where u are inserting ur request.
step2. create PRO*C proram, which is listening request on the table. If there is any request, call the imp (executable). This is happening on server side.
Benifit. U can make a request from cleint and ftp the file client sit.

plss go through the limitations of applet. it says a lot of things and a few to mention are......
1. cannot access files.
2. can't read from files
3. can't write to files
4. can't access databases.
5. CAN'T RUN OTHER PROGRAMS
but the above limitation can be overcome by taking a round about way. for eg, we can access file thru applets by establishing a socket connection and opening a stream to the file. we can access database also in may ways.....like writing a policy file for applet or connecting to database thru servlets or by using signed applets.
for running other programs.......i think......signed applets might help. signed applets are also known as trusted applets. just go throug signed applets and seek help from the signing applets' forum. it's a bit difficult topic but it's all paradise once u mastered the signing of applets. but before learning it , try to know whether u problem can be solved by trusted applets b'cos i'm not sure

I am new in oracle form 9i (web form). Before I use oracle form client 6i. Just set icon with command (D:\ora6i\BIN\ifdbg60.EXE MYFORM.FMX). The login will be prompt out and user can log in to run many oracle 6i forms from oracle menu. In Oralce form 9i designer, I can open form designer and use run form from IE.
1. How can I depoly these form with menu to other users.
2. How can I define the url link to public (Application Server)?
3. SHould there is any login prompt from web usage.
