How to run FrameAccess.java?

hi everyone.. i'm new in JMF.. and in java.. so i really need help.
i want to run FrameAccess.java, but always failed.
is the <URL> in the 'java FrameAccess <URL>' the same as MediaLocator?
i wrote like this: java FrameAccess C:\video1.mpg
and it returned:
Failed to create a processor from the given url: javax.media.NoProcessorException: Cannot find a Processor for C:\video1.mpg
im so confused since it seems so easy.. i feel like stupid cant solve this problem.. please help me.
thanks...

A good web page for people who are new is:
Now, when it asks for a URL, you're going to need to give it a URL. URLs start with a protocol-prefix, IE, ftp, http, https, etc...
java FrameAccess file:C:\video1.mpgTry that. If that doesn't fix it, you might not be able to play that file with JMF. So try another file.

  • How to run a java program in another folder

    Hello!
I want to run for example the java class file in the path ./sourcecode/javafile.class. It works fine if I do the following:
    cd sourcecode
    java javafile
but it cannot work if I do:
    java sourcecode/java
The error it outputs is NoClassDefFoundError.
Can someone tell me how to run a java program in another folder
    thanks a lot.

You need to specify the classpath using the -cp flag when running. so instead of
    "java sourcecode/javafile"
    Try
    "java -cp sourcecode javafile"

  • URGENT: How to run a Java program from a different directory?

    Hi.
How do I run a Java program from a directory that the file is not located in? So lets say im in c:\Java. But the file is in c:\Java\abc\efg\.
What would be the command to run the Java file from c:\Java.
I can't remember it and I need it asap.
    Cheers.

If the class you are trying to run is MyApp.class, try
c:\Java\>java -cp abc\efg MyAppThe actual classpath you specify will depend on whether or not MyApp.class is in a package (I've assumed it isn't) and whether or not any 3rd party jars are involbed (I've assumed not).
    Edited by: pbrockway2 on Apr 1, 2008 6:42 PM
The command arguments read as "Run the MyApp class using as a classpath abc\efg relative to here (c:\Java)".

  • How to run a java program without Java Compiler

I have a small project and I want share it with my friends but my friend'pc have not
    Java compiler.
for example, I writen a application like YM, then 2cp can sent, receive messege. My cumputer run as Server, and my frien PC run as client.
How can my friend run it? or how to create an icon in dektop tu run a java program..??..
(sorry about my English but U still understand what i mean (:-:)) )

To run a program you don't need a Java compiler. Just the Java Runtime Engine. That can be downloaded from the Sun website and comes with an installer.
You could then turn your application into an executable jar file and start it somehow like jar myYM.
There is also software that packs a Java program into an executable file. I've never used that but one that comes to my mind is JexePack. It's for free if you can live with a copyright message popping up every time you start the program.

  • How to run standalone java file from weblogic server on Solaris

    Hi,
We have a requirement to run a java file at a scheduled time in a day using cron scheduler on our linux server.
We need to fetch data from the database & perform some business logic in this standalone JAVA file.
Our application has an EAR which is deployed on Weblogic 10.3 server & in our application, we are utilizing the datasource created in that domain.
Now, we have created a standealone Java file & used exisitng datasource (without Hibernate) of the domain with the help of below forums,
Use DataSource of weblogic in a standalone Java file
    able to achieve the same.
I've bundled this JAVA in application WAR & depoyed on the same domain where datasource is created.
Now, how can I execute this file from anywhere on the server using weblogic classpath.
Please help on the same in implementation.
    Thanks,
    Uttam

If the Java application must be stand-alone you must not deploy it on WebLogic, then WebLogic will manage its lifecycle.
In this case you can use the CommonJ API and use the timermanager if it must run on a certain time. More information
of how to do this can be found here: http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?p=5569
If you keep the Java application stand-only and want to use a cron job you can follow the example presented here: http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?p=7065
Note that the example runs a WLST script, but you can follow the same steps to run your Java application.

  • How to run a Java EE client application ?

    Greetings,
I have a Java EE Application Project created with Eclipse (OEPE) and I don't know how to run it ? I asked the question on the OEPE forum but didn't manage to have any pertinent answer. I have also looked at Developing Java EE Application Clients (Thin Clients) in the Programming Stand-alone Clients book and tried to use commands as weblogic.clientDeployer and weblogic.j2eeclient.Main but haven't been able to get them working. And anyway, they are not done to be used in Eclipse as I didn't find any ant tasks for them.
Many thanks in advance for any help.

  • How to run any java file...

i want to run .java file..
suppose i have some classes then i want to run those classes by providing just the name of the class..
my program should run any .class file by just selecting the name of the class..

    rajeev-usendi wrote:
it can be any .class file..
it can have a main method() or init()...
basically i want to execute that .class file and dynamically i want to access its variables which has been defined public..Why don't you just "execute" these class files within the program itself and keep the class files within the same project/jar file? Call the methods dynamically to access it's variables.
I think could run any .java file by implementing it as Runnable and starting them as threads from the main program. I'm not sure how you'd get it to the poitn where you could .start() it though.

  • How to run multiple java files concurrently using command line?

    Hi,
I have to write a script to run multiple java files and c files concurrently. Say, A and C are java files and B is another binary executable file, I have to make sure they are run in the order A-B-C, then I was trying to run by using
    java A & ./B & java C
But it turned out that B could run before A started... Is there any way that I can ensure that A runs before B, and B runs before C by using the command line?
    Thanks a lot.

    GKY wrote:
Sorry, I didn't make my question clear enough...
A has to give some output files that B needs to get started,Then B can start at any time--even before A--and just wait for those files to be written. For instance, A could write to a temp file, then rename it to the real name. However, if there are multiple files, and they all have to exist, even this won't necessarily work. There are other approaches that will though.
although writing the output takes very short time,Depends on when the OS decides to give A CPU time, what else is going on on that disk controller and/or network, etc.
B could still run before A finishes the writing, As it can if you sleep for 1, or 10, or 1,000,000 seconds before starting B.
if B can't find the info it wants, it fails to move on. That's why I need to make sure A starts before B.No, you need to make sure A's data is there before B tries to use that data.

Let's say that the order of arguments is as below
    1. Jar file name
    2. Classpath
Your shell script would look like this
java -cp $CLASSPATH:$2 -jar $1 I am assuming that your jar file has the required main-class entry in its manifest. Note that $1...$9 represent the arguments to this shell script.
The same goes for a batch file
    java -cp %CLASSPATH%;%2 -jar %1

  • How to run a java program using additional jar files

    Hi everyone in the forum,
i ve created an app using the hFreeChart in eclipse, so i added them as external jar files and tested the program.
now my problem is that the program should run using a terminal in win and i do not know how can i do to make the command line or the system to find them, i added to the path but i read somtehing about classpath, but i have no idea. if anyone can help?
    thanks in advanced

Actually, the best way to prepare a program for regular running is to make it an executable jar file, which means adding a manifest file which contains (at least) a Main-class: and a Class-Path: line. Referenced class libraries typically sit in a lib directory next to the java file. Then you can run it using java -jar myprog.jar.
Failing that create a batch file or link that supplied java with command line parameters including a -classpath=
Using the class path environment results in too much contention between competing values of it.

Ok, well I'm new to the world of Java and am excited to learn. I know C++ pretty well and I think that is what is kinda confusing me right now. When I made a simple "Hello world" app and tryed to run it nothing happens. I double clicked on the class file. What I really what to know it how to set up and run a basic application how anyone would. It's a little differnt than just compiling and running an .exe and I think that is what is kinda confusing me as I said before.
