How to run jpximport utility port OAF project to another PC?

Dear gurus,
I have OAF JDev project (OAF Extension) on PC A. I need to be able to load the same OAF extension into a different db instance running jpximport utility on a different PC B. How do I move (port) the project? Looking for any documentation on the subject. Can someone kindly advise.
Thank you.

    how to run disk utility mac book air it is very slow on boot up

    Here's a general article about slow startup: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH10929
    It suggests there may be a third party hardware issue.
    Otherwise, you can boot from your recovery disk as shown here: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH10603
    Your recovery disk was automatically created when Lion was installed.  You'll have it as a separate partition and be able to boot from it as if it were a separate disk.

    Hi,
    In order to resolve the problem more efficiently, I need to clarify some information.
    1. Do you have two AD sites in your environment?
    2. If you have two AD site, do you have active users in these two AD sites?
    3. Does each AD site have a DAG which is cross-site?

  • How to run FVC utility for Weblogic server?

    Hi all,
    I want to use FVC(Form Version Controller) utility to update the database for some users.
    I have provided the required parameters in the "fvc.properties".
    When i run the utility from command prompt it is just printing the parameters given in the fvc properties file and the execution stops.
    When i check the database nothing is updated.
    I'm using BEA-Weblogic Version 8.1 as application server.
    But in another environment where I'm using OC4J as application server I'm able to run the FVC utility and it is also updating the database.
    Is there any other steps that we have to follow ,if we want to use this utility for Weblogic?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    The following is script found in fvcutil.cmd
    @echo off
    setlocal
    if "%1" == "" goto usage
    if "%2" == "" goto usage
    call classpath
    set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;.\lib\xlFvcUtil.jar;.\ext\jbossall-client.jar;.\ext\weblogic.jar;.\ext\oscache.jar;.\ext\javagroups-all.jar;.\ext\commons-logging.jar
    D:\oracle_dev_design/xlclient/java\bin\java -DXL.FvcProps=fvc.properties -DXL.HomeDir=. -Djava.security.auth.login.config=.\config\authwl.conf com.thortech.xl.util.fvcutil.FVCUtil %1 %2
    goto end
    :usage
    echo.
    echo "USAGE : fvcutil.cmd <USERNAME> <PASSWORD>"
    echo.
    :end
    endlocal
    authwl is set properly. But when we run this command we get only parameters given in the fvc property file.
    But when we run the same in another environment using (OC4J Application server) we are able to update the database using fvc.
    Please guide us out on this regard to execute the same in weblogic server enabled environment.
    Thanks

  • How to run wrap utility

    Hi All,
    I tried to use wrap utility from my command promt from c:/oracle9i/bin to encrypt the package code. But found that I am not having any wrap coomand in bin dir, so when I run wrap command from c:/oracle9i/bin, it gave me below error:
    C:\oracle9i\bin>wrap
    'wrap' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file.
    Can anybody help me in running wrap command. I am not able to understand if this is version issue, or complete pacakage has not been installed on my machine.
    Or there is some other way to run wrap utility, and I am running it in wrong manner.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Nidhi

    The wrap utility is a command line utility that obfuscates the contents of a PL/SQL source file. The syntax for the wrap utility is shown below.
    wrap iname=input_file [oname=output_file]
    The iname parameter specifies the source file, while the oname parameter specifies the destination file. If the destination file is not specified it defaults to the source file name with a ".pld" extension.
    Running the Wrap Utility
    Wrapping a package is amazingly simple, although there is one pitfall to avoid. Among the 500 plus files in the ORACLE_HOME/bin directory you will see wrap or WRAP depending on your operating system (a lot of the more common files and directories on Windows are upper-cased for ease of readability and identification).
    Using wrap is as simple as this:
    c:\ora9i\bin wrap iname=input_file_name
    You can specify an output file as a second argument by using this format:
    c:\ora9i\bin wrap iname=input_file_name oname=output_file_name
    Once wrapped, a package cannot be unwrapped. With that in mind, and just like what you would do with a real package, do not wrap the package until it is time to ship it. This implies keeping a source code repository of the original code. If a customer or user reports a bug against a wrapped package, there is no unwrapping it at the customer's site. You are going to have to ship another wrapped package with the fix in it. You will be making the bug fix or enhancement with the repository file and wrapping the new file.
    An Example of Using Wrap
    In a previous article, I used the DBMS_RANDOM package. A slightly modified bit of code from that produces the following:
    SQL> CREATE or REPLACE PROCEDURE wrap_it (seed_in NUMBER)
      2  IS
      3    v_rand INTEGER;
      4  BEGIN
      5    DBMS_RANDOM.INITIALIZE (seed_in);
      6    FOR i IN 1..5 LOOP
      7     v_rand := mod(abs(DBMS_RANDOM.RANDOM),45);
      8     dbms_output.put_line(i||': '||v_rand);
      9    END LOOP;
    10  END;
    11  /
    Procedure created.
    SQL> exec wrap_it(123456);
    1: 37
    2: 36
    3: 18
    4: 8
    5: 32
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.HTH.

  • How to copy part/all of a project into another project in PE4?

    Is there a way to copy some or all of the workof one projedt ( clips, transitions and effects) into another project.  I would especially like to use the same rolling credits in all my video's.  I've tried copy/paste and Get Media from a file but I get  "file format not supported" when I try to import a .prel (project)

    There is a also a Clipboard "extender," ClipMate, that will allow one to Copy/Paste from one Project to another. I have not used it, but many have and few have any issues.
    The Export to DV-AVI method is the main one. The only thing to think about is that you will want either a perfectly tight edit, before the Export, or a very loose edit (I'd go so far as to add 02 sec. of Black Video between un-Trimmed Clips), as you will not want to, say replace a Transition, as you would have to Trim even more of your Clips to create the necessary Handles.
    Good luck,

  • How do you Move an iMovie '08 Project to Another Mac?

    What's the best way to move an iMovie '08 project to another Mac on my network? (Both Macs have iMovie '08.) Specifically, is there an easy way to move a project and the event containing the imported clips in one step?
    Often, I'll do work on my Intel MacBook then transfer stuff to my Intel iMac for long term storage. In iMovie '08, I tried various imports and exports and nothing worked so well. For example, when you drag and drop a project file from one computer to another the clips don't come with it. You can play the movie but the clips in the media browser are grayed-out.
    There ought to be something like the archive routine that packages up everything and lets you put it on another computer for further editing.
    Thanks!

    I would like to know the same thing but not for another Mac... just another user. Should be almost the same procedure right?
    My iMovie '08 is crashing like crazy! I just want to get the projects into iMovie using a fresh user and hope that fixes it. I can see where copying/moving preferences into the library of the other user (along with duping the projects in the movies folder) might succeed in opening the project in another user. I'm just afraid of moving bad prefs or something.

  • JDev 10.1.3 embedded OC4J:  How to run HTTP in port 80 without conflicts?

    Hi
    I need to run the HTTP protocol using port 80 in the OC4J embedded version that JDeveloper 10.1.3 brings. I don't want the port to be decided at run time. I'm trying to configure it to use port 80, but I get conflicts and the port reconfigures to another value (1024). I need the port to be 80 in order to be consistent to the production port. (Why? Because I'm using SSLEXT, for those who are familiar with it).
    How can I understand the conflictand resolve it? How can I know the conflicting process that demands the port 80?

    Only way you can change this is to hack jdeveloper...
    in jdev.jar (or jdev-sr.jar if you have service pack) find Oc4jPortConflictUtil.class and replace it with compiled code below.

  • How to run process flow outside owner project?

    Hi,
    I have two process flows (process_flow_A and process_flow_B) in two different projects (projectA, projectB). Process_flow_A has to be run after process_flow_B is finished. So what I am thinking now is either put process_flow_A in Project B or put process_flow_B in project A. But how to see process flows which are not in it's owner project? Or is there any other ways to do this task?
    thanks.

    It can be done - in a round about way.
    You can call a SQLPlus operator. The operator will call sqlplus_exec_template.sql. You can use this script to call your other process flow in the other project.
    ..owb_home/owb/rtp/sql/sqlplus_exec_template.sql
    If you open up the .sql file, you will see examples of how to use it to call mappings, process flows, etc.
    Hope this helps..

  • How to run pm-util hook not as root?

    My mouse settings do not restore when waking up from sleep, so I need to issue "kcminit mouse." But if I run it with
    sudo -u user kcminit mouse
    I get
    No protocol specified
    kcminit: cannot connect to X server :0.0
    Anyone have any other ideas to solve this?

    nm. It worked when running it as root, but when pm runs the hook, I still get
    kcminit: cannot connect to X server

  • How to run LCM Utility????

    Hi,
    I want to LCM utility to migrate WebAnalysis 9.3.1 reports from Test to Prod env. i searched for doc in oracle site but they are bit confusion(as im new to this Hyperion) can any one help me in porviding an easy to understand doc.......
    Vijay....

    Hi,
    Personally I never had much success with LCM in 9.3.1, I am not saying you can't use it but it can take more time than its worth, it was not until V11 that it became a utility worth looking at.
    If it is not many reports it might be easy just to export them from studio and then import them into your target environment.
    I take it is this doc you are reading http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10530_01/doc/epm.931/hss_alcm_util.pdf ?
    Cheers

  • How can I pass variables from one project to another using Javascript?

    Hi all, I am trying to do this: let learners take one course and finish a quiz. Then based on their quiz scores, they will be sent to other differenct courses.
    However, I wish keep track on their previous quiz scores as well as many other variables.
    I found this nice widge of upload/download variables by CPguru (http://www.cpguru.com/2011/05/18/save-and-load-data-widget-for-adobe-captivate-4-and-adobe -captivate-5/). However, this widget works by storing variables from one project in local computer and then upload it to another project.
    My targeted learners may not always use the same computer though, so using this widget seems not work.
    All these courses resided in a local-made LMS which I don't have access to their code. Therefore, passing variables to PHP html files seems not work.
    Based on my limited programing knowledge, I assume that using Javascript to pass variables may be the only possible way.
    Can someone instruct me how to do this?
    Thank you very much.

    If you create two MIDlet in a midlet suite, it will display as you mentioned means you can't change the display style.
