How to run Logminer Viewer 10g

Is there any graphical LogMiner Viewer in 10G ?
I've found very nice the 9i version, and I can't believe we've lost it in 10g.
If there is any, does anybody know how to start it from EM or standalone (like oemapp lmviewer in 9i)

You must install Client 10g(separately CD).
Java OEM console include.
And run command: oemapp lmviewer

i am facing a prob that is i have installed 10g database / Developer suite ,
now i created a form on DS which is running fine with in the environment on DS but now prob is
when i run this form from Desktop its failed to run and generate an error with creating a .err file and give a message that is file not generated ,
does any one can tell me what is the method of configuration for 10g forms to run it from clioent side ,
now i have also installed its application server too but what should do now to run it in browser environment from client desktop

How to run discoverer viewer

Hi all
i already installed the oracle BI i can the connection page of the discoverer http://hostname:7779/discoverer/viewer
but when i am trying to logon i get The page cannot be found for this url http://wfpas:7779/discoverer/app/directPartialConnect
also when i am going to the EM and to the discoverer
in the configuration section i cant find the public and private connection links ?
what is the problem ?
note : i didnt install the infrastructure db
and if i have to install it can i use the already exists database that i am using ?

Since you have not installed an infrastructure and associated Discoverer with it, you will not see any button / link to create public connections in EM (App Server Control).
You cannot use an existing database for your infrastructure. The Oracle Application Server infrastructure is installed in its own database.

I have a view which has to take the USERNAME of the current user connected to the database as a parameter:

LogMiner Viewer in the Enterprise Manager 10g ??

Does somebody know if there is LogMiner Viewer in the Enterprise Manager 10g?
How could I do to work with this tool ?

There is a 10g style. It comes with the client software. It is very much a stripped down version. I downloaded it and installed it. I could not find Logminer viewer in it. I did find some documentation. Here is what it says.
Launching LogMiner Viewer
To launch LogMiner Viewer, take the following steps:
Invoke LogMiner Viewer: On UNIX platforms, enter:oemapp lmviewer
The command string is case-sensitive and must be entered with lowercase characters.
On Windows NT, from the Programs menu,
choose Oracle_home > Database Administration > LogMiner Viewer.
After you invoke LogMiner Viewer,the Login dialog box is displayed.
Select Launch standalone.
Now, you can connect to a standalone Oracle Enterprise Manager repository.
If you do not have a standalone repository or if LogMiner Viewer is not aware
of an existing standalone repository, you cannot save queries.
When you attempt to expand a database or save a query, LogMiner Viewer displays
an informational message and leads you through a dialog to connect to or to create
a repository. See Connecting to or Creating a Standalone Repository for more information.
Click OK.

How to run discoverer 3i viewer on a replicated snapshot site ?

we are using oracle discoverer viewer on a replicated snapshot site ,in discoverer viewer edition we query the reports made in oracle user edition.In discoverer user edition first we save the report in the database in the table DIS_DOCS_ in EUL.now when we try to replicate this table ,we found that the LONG RAW type column in this table cannot be replcated. Now if we create a snapshot of this table without this LONG RAW type column it gets replicated. Now if i run this report on discoverer 3i viewer through my replicated snapshot site, I got a error message ORA-00904 Invalid coloumn name . and report does not work. can any body help me in how to run the report on discoverer 3i viewer using a replicated snapshot site for the table DIS_DOCS_ (this table is created when u create the EUL in the Administration Edition of the Discoverer

How to stop a running job in 10g Scheduler?

The following is a duplicate post. I posted the following to the general database forum before seeing that otn has a new scheduler forum:
I am not able to find in the Admin Guide a method to stop a currently running instance of a job in the 10g scheduler.
In 9i, I run the following script calling DBMS_JOB.broken and DBMS_JOB.remove to shut down currently running jobs:

How can I terminate a running job in 10g?

You can stop a currently running job using the STOP_JOB api.
STOP_JOB Procedure
This procedure stops currently running jobs or all jobs in a job class. Any instance of the job will be stopped. After stopping the job, the state of a one-time job will be set to SUCCEEDED whereas the state of a repeating job will be set to SCHEDULED or COMPLETED depending on whether the next run of the job is scheduled.
Syntax
DBMS_SCHEDULER.STOP_JOB (
job_name IN VARCHAR2
force IN BOOLEAN DEFAULT FALSE);
Parameters

Parameter Description
job_name
The name of the job or job class. Can be a comma-delimited list. For a job class, the SYS schema should be specified.
If the name of a job class is specified, the jobs that belong to that job class are stopped. The job class is not affected by this call.
force
If force is set to FALSE, the Scheduler tries to gracefully stop the job using an interrupt mechanism. This method gives control back to the slave process, which can update the status of the job in the job queue to stopped. If this fails, an error is returned.
If force is set to TRUE, the Scheduler will immediately terminate the job slave. Oracle recommends that STOP_JOB with force set to TRUE be used only after a STOP_JOB with force set to FALSE has failed.
Use of the force option requires the MANAGE SCHEDULER system privilege.
Setting force to TRUE is not supported for jobs of type executable.
Usage Notes
STOP_JOB without the force option requires that you be the owner of the job or have ALTER privileges on that job. You can also stop a job if you have the CREATE ANY JOB or MANAGE SCHEDULER privilege.
STOP_JOB with the force option requires that have the MANAGE SCHEDULER privilege.

How to run a 10g report in batch mode.

Good Afternoon,
Please advise if there is a way to run a 10g report from command line.
We use 6i right now and our job scheduler runs reports using "D:\ORADEV6I\BIN\RWRUN60.EXE ..." executable in batch mode on a separate server. We plan to migrate to 10g Database, Forms, Reports. Is there a way to keep this functionality and create a "command" to request the report server to run a report?

my question is
how to run form in developer suit i was using developer 6I now i want to run my module to developer suit 10g first i install developer suit 10g then database 10g and make a simple module of emp table

i start OC4J Instance then again i run the form its run and install

How to start service to run Discoverer Viewer on 10.2 EE on web-port 7778?

I have installed 10.2 EntEdition db on Windows, with OLAP and DataMining options "on", and wish to know what steps can enable me to run Discoverer Viewer (for example, http://mymachine:7778/discoverer/viewer ). What service must be turned on for there to be a response on this port?
I have already started the DBconsole service (port 1158) , the isqplus service (port 5560 through isqlplusctl) and the tns listener service (through lsnrctl). What service do I start to get a response on port 7778 or 7777?
I hope I don't need AS to run Discoverer Viewer...

How to run Net Configuration Assistant on 10g Forms and Reports server

I have a Windows 2000 server with Forms and Reports Services installed from AS 10g v. 9.0.4 (just the Forms and Reports install). According to the OUI, Net Configuration Assistant 9.0.4 is also installed. However I cannot figure out how to run the Net CA. There is no shorcut that I can find. Can anyone help?

Thanks for the reply Frank. I have looked all through the Start menu but see no "Configuration and Migration". I assume it's because I only installed the Forms and Reports option, so I only have Forms Services, Reports Services, and the Universal Installer. No big deal - I've already setup tnsnames manually. I just like to use the Net Assistant when I can.
