How To Run Planning sequences automatically a BPS 3.5 web interface

Hi all
We are using BI on version 7.0 (Netweaver 2004s) yet since other planning applications were used in BW-BPS we are still using it, anyway when creating planning folders I can set son sequences to run before layout display. In web interface (via BPS_WB) this option is not available as a standard.
I followed the steps from teh how to paper "How to run planning sequences on save and other events (WEB)" and even named my subcoponents as described in the document yet it doesnt work,
I already checked the source code for the sub class and names of the components. does anyone have an Idea of how can I make it work?

Hi Ramesh,
You can use SM36 and use the "Job Wizard" to define a background job in simple step by step procedure
Or
Goto SM37 and specify a job name.
Next specify the ABAP Program Name of the report you want to execute under Job Step.
Then click on "Extended Job Selection" and goto the Period Tab.
There select "Only Periodic Jobs" and then specify the frequency of execution based on Months, Weeks, Days, Hours or Minutes.

How to run selected sequences/steps after the great-grandparent, the grandparent and the parent sequence ?

I developped a sequence file with many levels of interlinked subsequences, and I want to be able to run selected subsequences/steps after the great-grandparent, the grandparent and the parent sequence.
Anyone know the best method to do this ?

Indeed, there was an little error in the sequence file. You can find the corrected file in attachment.
Run the selected step "Grandparent 2" doesn't do what I require because this run all sequences under "Grandparent 2", while I want to run "Parent 2.2" and "Child 2.2.2" under "Grandparent 2".

When u right click on the container or any of the objects there in you can see the properties which describes about the planning area, planning package, parameter group been used.

BPS Document in Web Interface - Issue

I am in BW 3.5 BPS.
1. I've switched on doc. property for 0costcenter, 0costelmnt, 0version
2. In the planning level, 0costcenter/0version are header characteristics limited to
one value and 0costelmnt in at row of layout
3. I've switched on "Read documents" in layout
4. Web component for doc. is setup in web interface and i can able to write comments into the text window
My problem is, when the comment is saved, i expect to save for combination of costcenter/version/costelement and KF.But what happens is, the comment is stored across version..meaning, i can see the comments even if i switch the version.. Is there anywhere i am missing..??

Hi,
I solved the issue. In my layout, i got 0version to display additional version like budget and the layout selection is set as "line". So basically, the system cant identify which version the combination can create..I thought it is smart enough to pick the version that is changeable...
Instead of line selection, if i set cell selection, then the document is getting created for particular version.

How to insert the logo of my company in the web interface page

Hi Experts,
I have created one web interface using the web interface wizard. I have to show logo of my company in the page created by web interface wizard. I think I can do so by creating one sub compnent called 'Text, Image, HTML'. Here I can change the property of text. I can click on property of text and then select 'Edit long text' option.
Then I can insert the HTML code. The HTML code can call the image.
I am not sure from where the HTML page will call the logo of my company. I think logo should be stored in the server or any other place.
Can you please let me know how to sort out the issue.

1) Have uploaded the image in MIMEs at following location. The .jpg is located at following place in SE80:
$TMP project1 --> BSP Library --> BSP Application --> ZIO_MY_WEB_INTERFACE --> MIMEs --> myimage.jpg
2) I have created one subcomponent 'Text, Image, HTML'.
3) I have set the property HTML of this subcomponent as 'true'.
4) I have set property 'Text' as follows.
Clicked on value of attribute field of 'Text'. Here I have selected Edit long text. Here I have done HTML coding. Can you please let me know what should be the path of image file here:

How we run the sequence of mapping in owb?

I have warehouse building mapping which is developed by some one. Now i wanted to run from beginging to end. I am able to run individual mapping manually.
But i want to run all mapping(not like running one by one). Since i am not sure the sequences of the mapping.
I want to start the first mapping and it should run all the dependent mapping automatically until end. Any help is highly appreciated.
I tried to create process flow and process flow package.. But i am not sure, how i can connect all the developed mapping...

I went to this folder and execute wfinstall.csh file.

How to run planing function automatically by using planing folder (UPSPL)

Hi All,
We have 2 planing packges one for local currency and one for global currency in the planing folder .We have exit function to upload the file from work ststion for both local and global currency packages .
Now we have Requiremnt to distribute or calaculat the remaning keyfigure values based on planned keyfigure in the planing package .We created one more exit function to allocate or calculate the amounts for remaning keyfgire.
Everything works fine.But issue is how to execute the planing function 2 after saving the data in planing folder ?. is there any possiblity.Attribtues options of Execute when saving was disbaled .So i have option to choose execute function before layout change .But when i choose this option data is getting ovewrtied with old values. because last daya in the planing was executing before layout change or before selecting file.
Can anyone let me know how to solve this,

Yes that right.but when i place these functions in the layout section and give attribute as run before layout change.
While writing the data to cube its also picking up the previous plan values from the layout with new values.
I have another function also which will upload the file from desktop to layout .While i choose this file planing function running autoamtiaclly in the background becuase of settng we made (run before layout change).I
I think this time planing function executing 2 times .One is when i choose the file into the layout and at the time of save the data.
This way old plan and new plan data getting into the cube and getting enermous results.
How can i achieve this.If i create global planing sequence how can i exeute that while user save the data from planing folder ?.Can you explain the possble senaios step by step.

How to run a script automatically just before Reboot or Shutdown

Hello all,
Could someone tell me what folder or what entries to be made if I want an event to take place before the machine actually start the reboot/shutdown process. For instants, i usually mount my USB flash drive but sometime I forget to umount it, which will cause a dirty file system when restarting the machine. Would anyone have an example to get me going. It's just like when rc.conf will do added things for you during start-up if special code/script was inserted.
There are other things I like to do before the machine reboot or shutdown, like, to run a very small scripts to automatically kill a certain process "first", before the rest and before rebooting. I'm sure I can write the code but I don't know where it goes.

PS: Thanks fsckd, Your explanation of SKIP/SEEK for dd has never been explained so well in any documentation, or on ANY web-site I ever been to in 6 months pass. Now I know how it really works and i'm getting it down to a science. I did not use it for what my thread indicate because in the end the other suggestions were better, but still I Thank God I finally know how to use SKIP/SEEK in dd. dd is my most use tool for what I do.

the code which results in the file arriving in the Oracle directory path needs to be enhanced to invoke the desired PL/SLQ procedure.
file arrival is OS operation that Oracle knows nothing about & is totally & completely oblivious to this event

What should I do to enable these commands with systemd?

First of all, put this into /etc/systemd/system/. Then add an install section to this unit:
[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target
or
[Install]
WantedBy=basic.target
(No idea which one is better). Then run:
# systemctl daemon-reload
# systemctl enable video.service
