  • How to run servlets in IIS Server

    Hi Techies,
    I had read in one book , in IIS server we can run servlets n jsp.
    Can u guys tell how can we run servlets n jsp in IIS server. Does we need to include some 3rd party software in IIS
    regards,
    KRish

    Well if you were to use apache you would use the
    mod_jk_apache2
    However, im really not sure if that is around for win32 systems. However, as i said above im not 100% on windows systems.
    If you really want to test portability set aside a 5gb partition and install linux which most standard distros already have apache2/tomcat installed.(Fedora)
    Also i have to agree this seems less and less java based and more and more system based.
    If you plan on taking the route mentioned above start a post at places like linuxquestions.org since they have more tech junkies then you could imagine.

  • How to run Servlet in Tomcat 5.5.7 Server

    Hi,
    How to run Servlet in Tomcat 5.5.7 Server. I mean where I should copy my *.class file.
    Thanks in Advance.
    bbye.

    In order to complile the servlet you need to tell java where to find the servlet libary (as stated above by setting the class path). or (much easier IMO)
    copy the servlet-api.jar to
    JavaInstallDirectory\jre\lib\ext

    Hi,
    There is one more method,i know
    Set the JAVA_HOME and PATH
    then execute the
    $WL_HOME\wlserver_10.3\server\bin>setWLSEnv.cmd
    Go to directory which contains weblogic.jar ($WL_HOME\server\lib) and run below command
    $WL_HOME\wlserver_10.3\server\lib>java -cp weblogic.jar weblogic.version

  • How to run servlet in java webserver2.0

    how to configure java webserver2.0 and how to run servlet in that

    Hi Friend,
    Try changing the servlet code to this and just tell wat happens after this.
    and wat can you see on your Browser Screen.
    import java.io.*;
    import javax.servlet.*;
    import javax.servlet.http.*;
    import java.sql.*;
    public class login extends HttpServlet {
    public void doGet(HttpServletRequest req,HttpServletResponse res) throws ServletException,IOException
    if (req.getParameter("t1") == null || req.getParameter("t2") == null)
    out.println("Enter User Name And Password");
    String uid=req.getParameter("t1");
    String pwd=req.getParameter("t2");
    res.setContentType("text/html");
    PrintWriter out=res.getWriter();
    out.println("<html>"); out.println("<head>");
    out.println("<title>Login</title>"); out.println("</head>");
    out.println("<body>");
    try { Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
    catch(ClassNotFoundException e)
    out.println("<h3>"+e+"</h3>");
    try{
    Connection con=DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:odbc:ms","scott","tiger");
    PreparedStatement psm=con.prepareStatement("select * from reg where uid1=? and pwd=?");
    psm.setString(1,uid);
    psm.setString(1,pwd);
    ResultSet rs=psm.executeQuery();
    if(rs.next())
    { out.println("<html><head><title>WELCOME</title></head>");
    out.println("<body><b><i>Hello user "+uid+"</b></i>");
    out.println("</body></html>"); }
    else
    res.sendRedirect("http://localhost:8080/login.html");
    } catch(SQLException e)
    { e.printStackTrace();}
    rs.close();
    con.close();
    out.close();
    After this try creating a odbc for oracle database at control panel with the name ms.
    Please inform me wat happens after this and friend do give some information about wat kind of web-server are you using.Because calling of your servlets differs the way your configure your web-server and the default configurations differ from web-server to web-server.

  • How to Run servlet in Tomcat 5.5.9

    hi
    How to run servlet in tomcat 5.5.9?how to set context path in server.xml of conf folder in tomcat since there is no context tag in server.xml.
    Jiten

    Hi ! I have a similar problem, well, it's along the same line ...
    I'm using NetBeans 4.1, and i've coded a servlet. Using NetBeans to launch my servlet (with the bundled Tomcat 5.5.7) works fine, however i need to deploy my application unto a Tomcat 5.5.9 server.
    Thus, i copied the WAR file generated by NetBeans into the Tomcat 5.5.9 webapps directory, and Tomcat expands it.
    Problem is when i run my JSP pages with the form tags, they do not work on the Tomcat 5.5.9 environment. Anyone knows why?
    (These work on the NetBeans Tomcat bundle 5.5.7)
    My form action :
    <form name="index" method="get" action="PageServlet">
    My web.xml :
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>PageServlet</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>application.PageServlet</servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>PageServlet</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/PageServlet</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    I'm really stumbed on why it doesn't work in Tomcat 5.5.9, any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance ^_^

  • How to identify the installed Weblogic Server and JDK are 32bit or 64bit?

    Hi everyone,
    I have a question ~
    Both Weblogic Server and JAVA JDK are installed on the server already, but I only know the Weblogic Server is 10.3.4.0 and JAVA JDK version is 1.6.0_25.
    I know the 64bit Weblogic Server installation file is a wlsXXXX_generic.jar package and 64bit JAVA JDK needed also.
    But, since the Weblogic installed already, there are no such installation files on the Linux Server now.
    I have tried the "java -version" for java version and check the Weblogic version from Weblogic console.
    How to identify the installed Weblogic Server and JDK are 32bit or 64bit with Linux command? Or is there any way to check it?

    What you can try to do is use WLST (or an MBean browser, such as JConsole or JRockit Mission Control) and connect to the adminserver.
    For example when using WLST:
    # set the environment by using setWLSEnv.sh (located in the ${WL_HOME}/server/bin directory).
    # start WLST by using: java weblogic.WLST
    # connect to the adminserver
    connect('adminusername','adminpassword');
    # change to the serverruntime environment
    serverRuntime();
    # show the attributes
    ls();
    # Here an attribute is shown called WebLogicVersion that shows the version of WebLogic
    -r--   WeblogicVersion                              WebLogic Server 10.3.5.0  Fri Apr 1 20:20:06 PDT 2011 1398638
    # Note that this does not show if is 32 bits or 64 bits to retrieve this information you have obtain the JVM version
    # change the directory
    cd('JVMRuntime/AdminServer');
    # show the attributes
    ls();
    -r--   Version                                      R28.0.1-21-133393-1.6.0_20-20100512-2126-linux-x86_64
    # when you have something like x86 at the you are running a 32 bit version, if you have something like x86_64 you are running a 64 bits versionAs mentioned above you can also retrieve this information by using a MBean browser.
