I have to know how to run struts project in Eclipse(lomboz-wtp-emf-gef-jem-eclipse-SDK-3.1.2-win32).How i will create struts-config.xml file here & how i will run this project. Is there anyone who can help me about this? where i will keep this config file. Please Help me.

When u want to create Struts Application in Eclipse..
1. Select Project : Enterprise Project..
which will create u 1. StrutsConfig.xml
2. all tld files
3. Go for Project properties
1. add all jar files
2. select all lib files and then submit.
if u come to Application side
1. JSp - Java Script (Ajax optional)

How to run struts-1.2.7 with BigApache 1.06

I have installed BigApache 1.06 and I want to run struts application in BigApache. The version of struts is 1.2.7 , and the application is the sample application:struts-examples which comes with the installation
I had copied the war file in ..\BigApache\Jboss\server\all\deploy folder for deployment. The server is running i had checked the sample web applications of Big Apache . but when i tried to run my application through browser
it gave me following error on the browser:

Running Struts on Weblogic

Hi,
I've just started to explore Struts, and am trying to set up a very simple example with one simple Action, one Form Bean using the validate() method to manually validate inputs.
I've gotten the example working in Tomcat. However when I tried to run the same example on Weblogic, I ran into some problems with the message resources for the validation.
On Tomcat, if I trigger a validation error, I got this message on my form page:
Wrong Login NameHowever when I tried the same code on Weblogic, I got this instead.
???en_US.errors.wrongLoginName???The error key in my .properties file is errors.wrongLoginName. So it seems like Weblogic prefixes the key with the locale before it tries to look for the key. Any ideas how to stop Weblogic from doing that? Or are there better ways to code my application so that it works without modifications on both Tomcat and Weblogic?
Also anyone familiar with what I may need to take note of when developing Struts application for Weblogic?
I'm sorry if this is not exactly the right forum to post this, but I can't find a more appropriate one to post this. Anyone knows of any good Struts forum that I can join?

Just found out what's wrong with this. Apparently the weblogic deploy script that I was using (I'm developing on Eclipse, and am using Ant deploy scripts to deploy to Tomcat and Weblogic) had some problems. It didn't deploy the .properties files.

I would still however hope to get some advice on the Struts forums and also if there are any known issues anyone has encountered when running Struts with Weblogic.

I have a question on how to run berkeley DB in backend under Linux. I am running a web application using Struts. Upon users' request, the application needs to access BerkeleyDB. Since BerkeleyDB has the cache mechanism, I hope to keep it open in the backend, and when the request comes, it is can be handled with help of cache. I read the manual, but it seems that each time an action is invoked, the action has to open BerkeleyDB and access data. When the action finishes, BerkeleyDB needs to be closed. However, the cache will be lost.
Basically, what I want is what RDBMS (e.g. oracle) behaves: they run in the backend. Application can use JDBC connect to it, and the cache is always there.
Is there any way to get around this? or is there other way to leverage BerkeleyDB's cache in web application? I am not sure if the question is too naive, because I am quite new to the web application.

Hi,
The best approach is normally to keep the BDB JE Environment open for the lifetime of your web application. To do that, you'll need to save the Environment object as context information after you open it. And don't forget to close the Environment when your web application stops.
All web frameworks provide some way to save context information between HTTP requests. For example, I'm sure that struts provides a way for you to access the ServletContext.
This forum is not the best place to ask detailed questions about struts or servlets. I would ask those questions on a struts forum, or even better try to find this information in the servlet / struts documentation.

I have console application using which i am trying to run power shell command like 'Get-AssignedAccess' or 'Set-AssignedAccess'.
i am using below code for this it is throwing exception 'Get-AssignedAccess' doesn't exist in cmdlet which is correct because these commands belongs to function category.

I know this doesn't help you much, but, I think you have to see if your Mac pro does audio out via HDMI. I don't even know if mine does via DVI. I think it may have to do with the adapter. Try going into Audio MIDI and setting the digital out to multichannel
and using the toslink cable for now. Lemme see...apparently DVI does not carry audio at all. Hm. apparently monoprice could be helpful? If I understand what you're saying correctly: you want to take DVI and multichannel audio via the Toslink and have it all go out over HDMI, right? Though you can initiate the binary from your client side but for the file creation, there is no other way but to store it on the server side. So your best bet would be to get some space free on the server side of yours.

So far, you haven't specified your rdbms version and isqlplus behaved differently on a 9iR1, 9iR2 from the one release on 10gR1/R2. on 9i it was a servlet based on a JServ servlet executor machine, meanwhile on 10g it is a J2EE compliant application deployed on an OC4J container, so configuration is different.

How to run the form that is only installed on a PC and not using a server?

I am new to Oracle and have taken the forms class. But I do not understand how to run the form from my PC using XP windows. (Do not have access to a server).
I have started the OC4J, made sure the listener was started, compiled the form and then when I run it, it automatically goes to the HTTP:

I connected to the database correctly. I can process a report and it does nor try to access the internet. My only issue is running the form. I verified it compiled.
Sorry for a basic question. Could someone please help, I tried reviewing other questions, but not sure if they are connecting to a server or not.
I see webutil but is it required if I don't have a server? Thank you in advance.

Regardless of the version, it appears that you may not have configured the Builder. Do the following:
1. Open the Builder
2. From the menu, select Edit > Preferences > Runtime
3. In the box labeled "Application Server URL:", enter a local URL needed to run a form OR click the button labeled "Reset to Default". If you decide to manually enter a value, it would looks something like this:
http://localhost:8889/forms/frmservlet
4. In the field labeled "Web Browser Location:", enter the path and executable to your preferred browser. So for example if IE is your browser of choice the entry would most likely look like this:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE
5. Click on OK and retest.
By the way, you can manually enter a URL in the browser. Clicking the RunForm button from the Builder is strictly optional. To run the "test" form directly from the browser enter the following into the browser's address field:
http://localhost:8889/forms/frmservlet?form=test
