How to run the SubVIs?

In my program a subVI must opened when I press a button. When I run my program and press the button, the subVI dowsn't continue running until I press on the run button again. How can I do that subVI continued running?

Well, a while loop is correct, but your implementation is not. In that example the subVI will not run until the while loop is finished, which is, errrr... pointless. Also, you have a greedy loop.
The question is somewhat misleading because the subVI is set up to run when opened, and "suspend when called", which doesn't make sense if it's supposed to be a subVI. It's possible the user did this when he couldn't get the code to work.
One solution is to turn off the "run when opened" and "suspend when called" from the subVI and simply call the subVI, passing values from control on the top VI.
This does beg the question: are you trying to create a popup?

The problem is about how to get the SubVI reference in Run Time System, when the SubVI is in .exe after building.
More details:
The top vi calls the SubVI by dynamic way, so the SubVI is included always, and the source object is the application.exe.
After the setup above, the SubVI will be in the application.exe. For example, SubVI's path is ...\application.exe\SubVI.vi
So, how to get SubVI's reference in Run Time System?
I can not get it when using "open VI reference" with the path ...\application.exe\SubVI.vi in Run Time System.
Actually, I can create a file to include the SubVI, instead of build the SubVI in application.exe , then I can get the reference convenintly. But it is not my favourate way.

Here is the problem. Call a dynamic subVI means users could change it but it's also very attractive.
The dynamic call must be used within a user mastered but some parade can avoid problems.
It depends of why you use dynamic calls... => 2 main ways:
- Dynamic call are use to maintain an evolutive part of the code without acting on the executable => one unique VI distribution maintained by the administrator/developer
- Dynamic call are use to provide a collection of 'external' feature which could be enriched by the administrator/developer. For example, you provide to your customer a set of custom signal filters selectable in the executable.
In the 2 cases, you are only able to assess user skills to know if there is a risk of damage if there is modification.
So, to stay alone master a parade could be to provide dynamic VI without diagram but with the problem of maintenance because no modification in situ and more attention to manage distribution.
An other way is to hide the real distribution to user => call dynamic VI but unnamed it as *.vi but other (a repulsive name as OS system name ) or simply with no extension in order to not attract user... but it's questionable...
Another method more difficult but safer is to create a test of consistency ahead of your routine (version, user, modification date, ...)

How to run a subVI without poping up normally, but when clicking a button, popup the front panel?

I know pop-up the front panel of a subVi when called by selecting VI Properties>>Windows apperence.
But what I need to do is: always run the SubVI inside the parent VI as the nornal subVI do without poping up. But when I click a button"show front panel", the SubVI popup the front panel.
Is there anyway to do this?

You can use a static VI reference to the subVI and then use the Front Panel Open invoke method to show the front panel when you want. I have attached two VIs that show this. I saved these VIs for LabVIEW 2009 so you should be able to open them up and run them in 2009 or later. Add.VI is the subVI that you are calling. The Caller.VI is just a While Loop that contiually calls the Add subVI. Inside of the While Loop is also a Case Structure with a Static VI Reference (you might need to change the path this is pointing to after downloading the VIs to your computer for this to work) and the Front Panel Open invoke method. You can run the Caller.VI and interact with the main Front Panel as normal and see the subVI but then you can click the Open subVI? boolean button and it will open the subVI's front panel. You can continue to interact with the main front panel and see the values update on the subVI's front panel as well. You can just close the subVI's front panel when you are done viewing it. How to run the form that is only installed on a PC and not using a server?

I am new to Oracle and have taken the forms class. But I do not understand how to run the form from my PC using XP windows. (Do not have access to a server).
I have started the OC4J, made sure the listener was started, compiled the form and then when I run it, it automatically goes to the HTTP:
ERROR: res://ieframe.dll/acr_depnx_error.htm#,http://kevin:8889/forms/frmservle
I connected to the database correctly. I can process a report and it does nor try to access the internet. My only issue is running the form. I verified it compiled.
Sorry for a basic question. Could someone please help, I tried reviewing other questions, but not sure if they are connecting to a server or not.
I see webutil but is it required if I don't have a server? Thank you in advance.

Regardless of the version, it appears that you may not have configured the Builder. Do the following:
1. Open the Builder
2. From the menu, select Edit > Preferences > Runtime
3. In the box labeled "Application Server URL:", enter a local URL needed to run a form OR click the button labeled "Reset to Default". If you decide to manually enter a value, it would looks something like this:
http://localhost:8889/forms/frmservlet
4. In the field labeled "Web Browser Location:", enter the path and executable to your preferred browser. So for example if IE is your browser of choice the entry would most likely look like this:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE
5. Click on OK and retest.
By the way, you can manually enter a URL in the browser. Clicking the RunForm button from the Builder is strictly optional. To run the "test" form directly from the browser enter the following into the browser's address field:
http://localhost:8889/forms/frmservlet?form=test

Hope u have reached Screen painter interface,
1. Click 'Add Grid' from tool bar.
2. Go to 'Collections' tab in 'Properties' window.
3. Choose 'Data Tables' from the Drop down list.
4. Click 'New' found at the bottom of the Properties Window(same window)
5. U'll find the place to insert ur query.
6. U can rename the table name from 'DT_0'
7. Choose type as 'Query'
8. Clear content from box 'Query'
9. Enter ur query there. Dont forget to Click 'SET'
10. Go to Preview option from tool bar.
now ur query will be displayed as table format.
Note: First try with simple query b4 going for linking option.

Need to know that how to run the Invoices in different groups within the batch. This will be of very helpful when we deal with lot of lines under one batch. (e.g) like somewhere we issued a Corporate Card to all the employees Via Bank Of America. Every Month they will send the complete details of all the employees who ever swiped the corporate provided BOA. Accordding to Natco all those lines should be loaded as One Invoice so that a Single Payment can be provided to BOA and it will also makes their life easier. This standard program sometimes it works normal sometimes it will run like a TORTOISE. So thats why in the manual they suggested to use GROUP ID to split the Invoice Load.

You need to make sure that OWB control center service is running . You can check this by show_service.sql (OWB_HOMW\owb\rtp\sql)
Then logon to OWB designer --- > goto control center ----> select the mapping you want to run .
Verify that it is deployed successfully . If yes the click on start , your mapping execution will start .

Now, Im not entirely sure what you mena by:

Are you looking to run a macro to create a section break for you during the design of the template? - you can do this.
Or do you want to embed a macro in the RTF output - you can not do this - RTF does not support macros.
Please explain further.

There are Parameters DESTTYPE, DESFORMAT and DESNAME. You can set these parameters to get as you want.
