How to run the VI developed in labVIEW 2011 in its previous versions

Hi all,
I am currently using LabVIEW 2011 in my home PC.
But, all my school computers are installed with LabVIEW 2010 and 2010 SP1.
How to run the VI developed in LabVIEW 2011 in its previous versions?
Is there any conveter for that?

Open the VI in LabVIEW 2011 and use the File menu option, Save for Previous Version.

Labview 2011 save for previous version crashes

Hello,
I am trying to save an existing Labview 2011 project to any previous version. I have tried 2010 all the way down to 8.0. I have a clean project, all files are LV 2011, it builds and runs correctly. I have mass compiled. It did call 2 dynamic vi's but I have removed those. The project did contain conditional compilation, but that is removed. It did contain disabled diagrams, but they are removed. I did a save hierarchy to a seperate folder, just to make sure the standard save works. It does. There are 1196 vi's and controls in the project.
If I save to LV 2010, quite a number of sub vi's are saved (909 including controls), but none of the top level ones. The crash is manifested by Labview leaving memory (task manager doesn't see it any more) and the Labview window dissapearing.
Attached is the save dialog at the instance before crashing.
I have not been able to locate a log to let me know the last loaded vi. If you know of such a log, please let me know.
Has anyone experienced similar problems? If so, any clues on how to fix this?

In the advanced build configuration, check "generate build log file". See if you get more information. Good luck.

How to run the paper layout & web layout?

Hi,
I have 10gR2 application server (Linux). A report was created in Reports 6i, now i opened the same in 10g and compiled in my local machine(development pc with windows xp).
question 1
In the development pc, i can run the paper layout but the same cant in web layout.
1. How to run the weblayout?

Now my application is running in&as web enabled. A menu calling a report ,that i want to run as paper layout, is it possible in web enable mode? Otherwise i have to run as web layout.

I am trying to run any iViews that connect to the R/3 back end. I have read that you have to first connect to the SLD, and then set up the JCO connections. Correct?
I have got the SLD running, but I can't connect to it. I have supplied the required SLD Data Supplier information in the Content Administrator.
In the Visual Administrator, under the SLD Data Supplier, I enter the Host, Port, User, and Password, but when I hit the Trigger Data button I get an error saying "Operation Failed! Failed to collect SLD data. Failed to send HTTP data: 401: Unauthorized. Please check if the target SLD system is available and the SLD bridge is started there."

Error 1073807331 when trying to Run the "servo" example in Labview.

Error -1073807331 occurred at Property Node (arg 2) in VISA Configure Serial Port (Instr).vi->LabVIEW Interface for Arduino.lvlib:Init.vi->LabVIEW Interface for Arduino.lvlib:Arduino Servo.vi
So, I can connect to the Arduino Mega 2560 in MAX and also in VISA, but when I try to run this example, I get the above error. with the explanation "The specified attribute is not defined or supported by the referenced resource."
the ONLY error i can see in VISA is this :
under Configuration/View attributes- "Interrupt in pipe status | VI_ATTR_USB_INTR_IN_STATUS | Invalid Property Value"
this is in red., all other text is in black.
Under "Input/Output" I can write to the board "*IDN?\n" and get a return of 6bytes which it appears happy with.
Query button appears happy as well.
as does "Read"
the "read status byte" button gives me "
Read STB Operation
Error
VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF003A) Unable to start operation because setup is invalid (due to attributes being set to an inconsistent state)."
I am at a loss as to what to do about this as I cannot see a way to change this value.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

OK, well I know how to connect the arduino to my PC as well, its simple.
I have been playing around with the mega2560 for over a year, so it's not that.
I can connect to and talk to the 2560 from the arduino IDE, but not LabView. I did see both TX and RX activity tonight, and thought, "yay! its finally stopped being retarded", but as soon as I hit run, it fell back to the old"cannot find arduino"
the reason I was using VISA was because I couldn't get any joy from the serial/USB method.
If I somehow mange to let the magic smoke out of this, I doubt I'd be very upset bout it.
anyway, any other ideas?

How to run the form that is only installed on a PC and not using a server?

I am new to Oracle and have taken the forms class. But I do not understand how to run the form from my PC using XP windows. (Do not have access to a server).
I have started the OC4J, made sure the listener was started, compiled the form and then when I run it, it automatically goes to the HTTP:

I connected to the database correctly. I can process a report and it does nor try to access the internet. My only issue is running the form. I verified it compiled.
Sorry for a basic question. Could someone please help, I tried reviewing other questions, but not sure if they are connecting to a server or not.
I see webutil but is it required if I don't have a server? Thank you in advance.

Regardless of the version, it appears that you may not have configured the Builder. Do the following:
1. Open the Builder
2. From the menu, select Edit > Preferences > Runtime
3. In the box labeled "Application Server URL:", enter a local URL needed to run a form OR click the button labeled "Reset to Default". If you decide to manually enter a value, it would looks something like this:
http://localhost:8889/forms/frmservlet
4. In the field labeled "Web Browser Location:", enter the path and executable to your preferred browser. So for example if IE is your browser of choice the entry would most likely look like this:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE
5. Click on OK and retest.
By the way, you can manually enter a URL in the browser. Clicking the RunForm button from the Builder is strictly optional. To run the "test" form directly from the browser enter the following into the browser's address field:
http://localhost:8889/forms/frmservlet?form=test

Hope u have reached Screen painter interface,
1. Click 'Add Grid' from tool bar.
2. Go to 'Collections' tab in 'Properties' window.
3. Choose 'Data Tables' from the Drop down list.
4. Click 'New' found at the bottom of the Properties Window(same window)
5. U'll find the place to insert ur query.
6. U can rename the table name from 'DT_0'
7. Choose type as 'Query'
8. Clear content from box 'Query'
9. Enter ur query there. Dont forget to Click 'SET'
10. Go to Preview option from tool bar.
now ur query will be displayed as table format.
Note: First try with simple query b4 going for linking option.

(e.g) like somewhere we issued a Corporate Card to all the employees Via Bank Of America. Accordding to Natco all those lines should be loaded as One Invoice so that a Single Payment can be provided to BOA and it will also makes their life easier. This standard program sometimes it works normal sometimes it will run like a TORTOISE. So thats why in the manual they suggested to use GROUP ID to split the Invoice Load.

You need to make sure that OWB control center service is running . You can check this by show_service.sql (OWB_HOMW\owb\rtp\sql)
Then logon to OWB designer --- > goto control center ----> select the mapping you want to run .
Verify that it is deployed successfully . If yes the click on start , your mapping execution will start .

Now, Im not entirely sure what you mena by:

Are you looking to run a macro to create a section break for you during the design of the template? - you can do this.
Or do you want to embed a macro in the RTF output - you can not do this - RTF does not support macros.
Please explain further.
