How to run WLST scripts using getopt in Eclipse, usin PyDev?
There's probably several questions here, but perhaps they're all related.
I have Eclipse 3.3.2, and the PyDev plugin, and WebLogic 9.2.2.
I was able to create a simple PyDev project and "hello world" module, and execute it in Eclipse. I put "weblogic.jar" in the Jython interpreter list.
Although I haven't tried any WLST functionality yet, I want to try loading the "getopt" module. I tried doing this on another project, way back in the 8.1.4 timeframe, and I even discovered a question I had asked about this ( [http://forums.bea.com/thread.jspa?threadID=600008087&start=0] ).
The workaround Satyam describes there doesn't appear to apply in WL 9.2.2, and I'm also running on Windows, which apparently didn't have this problem back then.
When I just try to do "import getopt", it just says there's no module by that name.
Well, I've actually gotten past this. It was easy enough to append "$BEA_HOME/weblogic92/common/wlst/modules/jython-modules.jar/Lib" to sys.path. I've now got other problems, however. Running the scripts in Eclipse doesn't load the core WebLogic objects and methods, like "connect()". I can at least use PyDev to edit my code, but I have to run it outside of Eclipse.

How to run expect script using SGD?
Does any one know how I can run an expect script using the same executable SGD uses? I think the executable is /opt/tarantella/bin/bin/ttatcl, but it seems to be looking for an init file that I cannot find.
Anyone tried this before?
Thanksttatcl is a TCL interpreter, the expect functionality is embedded into ttaexecpe and can't be used externally.
Linux distributions usually include expect and you can find expect for Solaris here :

How to run bash script using Calendar
Hi folks.
How can I run a bash script using Calendar? I thought I had to park it in an AppleScript script which I could call, but that isn't really working.
Any suggestions appreciated.
CheersHi there. Thanks for the reply.
Some notes for the replies:
- The shell script has no environment issues. It's a straight mysqldump for a single database.
- The AppleScript has the do shell script "path/to/script.sh" user name "root" password "wobblyhead" with administrator privileges
- Calendar application can only recognize the .scptd and .scpt files, and not .app files. Upon choosing my original .scpt file with the do shell script instruction, it just opens the file in AppleScript Editor.
So the file gets called, but for some reason, it just opens the file and won't run the file. No options for choosing a format where it's actually run.
Not sure how to go about this.

Hi All,
Could you please let me know how to run WLST In linuxThere are two ways to invoke wlst scripting
1) You can call a py script using ${ServerHome}/common/bin/wslt.sh create.py
2) You can set the environment using . ./setDomainEnv.sh and run java weblogic.WLST which will start the wlst offline mode.
Here are some good examples

How to run a script from Calculation Manager
Hi All,
I would like to know how to run a script made by using Calculation Manager. I have converted a simple rule script which has just one statement(HS.EXP "A#Sales = 100") in "Sub Calculate()" by using FMRulesMigrator.exe and then imported, deployed to an application. when I execute "Calculate" from a Data Grid, the rule didn't take effect to application data. If I load the script by using classic rule editor, it works fine.
Is there anything I have to know to run a rule script which is made by using Calculation Manager?
Thanks in advance.

How to run the job using DBMS_SCHEDULER
How to run the job using DBMS_SCHEDULER
pleas give some sample Iam very new to DBMS_SCHEDULERHi
DBMS_SCHEDULER
In Oracle 10g the DBMS_JOB package is replaced by the DBMS_SCHEDULER package. The DBMS_JOB package is now depricated and in Oracle 10g it's only provided for backward compatibility. From Oracle 10g the DBMS_JOB package should not be used any more, because is could not exist in a future version of Oracle.
With DBMS_SCHEDULER Oracle procedures and functions can be executed. Also binary and shell-scripts can be scheduled.
Rights
If you have DBA rights you can do all the scheduling. For administering job scheduling you need the privileges belonging to the SCHEDULER_ADMIN role. To create and run jobs in your own schedule you need the 'CREATE JOB' privilege.
With DBMS_JOB you needed to set an initialization parameter to start a job coordinator background process. With Oracle 10g DBMS_SCHEDULER this is not needed any more.
If you want to user resource plans and/or consumer groups you need to set a system parameter:
ALTER SYSTEM SET RESOURCE_LIMIT = TRUE;
Baisc Parts: Job
A job instructs the scheduler to run a specific program at a specific time on a specific date.
Programs
A program contains the code (or reference to the code ) that needs to be run to accomplish a task. It also contains parameters that should be passed to the program at runtime. And it?s an independent object that can referenced by many jobs
Schedules
A schedule contains a start date, an optional end date, and repeat interval with these elements; an execution schedule can be calculated.
Windows
A window identifies a recurring block of time during which a specific resource plan should be enabled to govern resource allocation for the database.
Job groups
A job group is a logical method of classifying jobs with similar characteristics.
Window groups
A window groups is a logical method of grouping windows. They simplify the management of windows by allowing the members of the group to be manipulated as one object. Unlike job groups, window groups don?t set default characteristics for windows that belong to the group.
Using Job Scheduler
SQL> drop table emp;
SQL> Create table emp (eno int, esal int);
SQL > begin
dbms_scheduler.create_job (
job_name => 'test_abc',
job_type => 'PLSQL_BLOCK',
job_action => 'update emp set esal=esal*10 ;',
start_date => SYSDATE,
repeat_interval => 'FREQ=DAILY; INTERVAL=10',
comments => 'Iam tesing scheduler');
end;
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
Verification
To verify that job was created, the DBA | ALL | USER_SCHEDULER_JOBS view can be queried.
SQL> select job_name,enabled,run_count from user_scheduler_jobs;
JOB_NAME ENABL RUN_COUNT
TEST_abc FALSE 0
Note :
As you can see from the results, the job was indeed created, but is not enabled because the ENABLE attribute was not explicitly set in the CREATE_JOB procedure.
Run your job
SQL> begin
2 dbms_scheduler.run_job('TEST_abc',TRUE);
3* end;
SQL> /
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
SQL> select job_name,enabled,run_count from user_scheduler_jobs;
JOB_NAME ENABL RUN_COUNT
TEST_ABC FALSE 0
Copying Jobs
SQL> begin
2 dbms_scheduler.copy_job('TEST_ABC','NEW_TEST_ABC');
3 END;
4 /
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed. Hope it will help you upto some level..!!

Why MicroSoft 2000 SR needed while running the script using test manager???
hi all,
whenever I trying to run a script using test manager,one POP-UP comes which starts installing MICROSOFT 2000 SR.
and in few seconds it complaining for some missing component,
can any body tell me why it is happening.
what is the need of Microsoft 2000 SR while running the script in test manager.
tnx

I have seen that problem happening before, even that i was never able to figure out why, something that you can try is changing the service log in credentials for both:
Oracle Application Testing Suite Agent Service
Oracle Application Testing Suite Application Service
and use a proper user with admin rights.
let me know if that helped

How to run a script from Oracle Form (Beside using HOST command)
I would like to run a script from Forms 6.0. I know that we can actually issue this command :
host('plus80.exe' username/password@connect_string @c:\scriptname);
BUT, is there any other alternative ?Sqlplus is a different program, so one way or the other you have to leave Forms to run sqlplus. What is you objection against HOST?
You can also run sqlplus from the database, but again you need a stored java procedure to call sqlplus (sort of HOST command that runs in the database).
Francois' solution works if your script just has a query to run, but if you have specific sqlplus commands (spool etc.) forms_ddl is probably not a solution. -
Applescript: How to run a script once upon logon for multiple users
I'm deploying a NetRestore image to about 150 Macs which will be using Active Directory and I've designed a custom default user for each new user. However, our system requires a specialized certificate that has to be installed on the local login.keychain for each user otherwise network connectivity is impacted.
I've tried to use the security command through Terminal to install the certificate, but no matter what combination of commands, I cannot seem to get that to work properly even with an already-created user. While it will often say it's installed, the cert will not actually show up in the login keychain in Keychain Access. And the network connectivity is still impacted.
So instead, I created a brief AppleScript that just gives the user brief instructions to click "Add" on the prompt for which Keychain to add the cert and then "Always Trust" for the "This cert is not verified" prompt. Then it launches Keychain Access. Originally, I was going to have it actually click the buttons for the user, but I realized trying to get the whole Accessibility apps and assitive devices to work on every new user would be a nightmare.
I created the script on another 10.9 Mac using Automator to make it an actual application. I've used the instructions in OS X: Using AppleScript with Accessibility and Security features in Mavericks to sign it and I'm using root to move it from its network location into the Applications folder. I've adjusted the permissions to allow all Admin users to r/w (along with everyone else). To the root user, it shows as a usable application, but every other user on the Mac sees it as damaged/incomplete.
What I want to do is add it to the default Login Items, so I can run the final AppleScript command to simply remove the login items listing. That way I don't need to worry about it running again, but it's still available for the next user to sign onto the deployed Mac.
I know it's a little convoluted, but this is the final piece to the NetRestore deployment I've been working on for months. Any suggestions on how to make this work (or even a completely different solution) would be greatly appreciated.
Here was the original shell script in case you're curious.
#!/bin/bash
## Prompt for current user admin for use in Certificate Install
while :; do # Loop until valid input is entered or Cancel is pressed.
localpass=$(osascript -e 'Tell application "System Events" to display dialog "Enter your password for Lync Setup:" default answer "" with hidden answer' -e 'text returned of result' 2>/dev/null)
if (( $? )); then exit 1; fi # Abort, if user pressed Cancel.
localpass=$(echo -n "$localpass" | sed 's/^ *//' | sed 's/ *$//') # Trim leading and trailing whitespace.
if [[ -z "$localpass" ]]; then
# The user left the password field blank.
osascript -e 'Tell application "System Events" to display alert "You must enter the local user password; please try again." as warning' >/dev/null
# Continue loop to prompt again.
else
# Valid input: exit loop and continue.
break
fi
done
echo $localpass | sudo security import /'StartupFiles'/bn-virtual.crt ~/Library/Keychain/login.keychain
osascript -e 'tell Application "System Events" to delete every login item whose name is "LyncCert"
And this is the AppleScript itself. (I used the \ to make it easier to read. The first line is actually one complete command)
display dialog "Click OK to start installing Mac Network Certificate." & return & return & \
"In the following prompts, click the 'Add' then 'Always Trust'." & return & return & \
After you have clicked 'Always Trust', quit Keychain Access." default button 1 with title \
"Mac Network Certificate Install"
activate application "Keychain Access"
tell application "Finder" to open POSIX file "/StartupFiles/bn-virtualcar.crt"
tell application "System Events" to delete login item "Lync-AppleScript"
end
Thank you for your help!I have run into this same issue. Are you trying to run the script one time as a new user logs in or everytime a user logs in?

What are CLASSPATH settings to run WLST scripts from JYTHON
Hi,
I am trying to run a Jython script that uses WLST calls.
Following steps were done
1. Run WLST.sh
2. writeinit("wl.py")
3. Invoke Jython and then do "import wl"
The import fails with error
from weblogic.management.scripting.utils import WLSTUtil
ImportError: No module named weblogic
Looking at the wlst.sh, it extends classpath for bunch of jars like
if [ -d "${WLST_HOME}/lib" ] ; then
for file in "${WLST_HOME}"/lib/*.jar ; do
CLASSPATH="${CLASSPATH}${CLASSPATHSEP}${file}"
done
fi
Question - what are all the files to be added to classpath ? Is there a script to explicitly set classpath for all relevant jars for WLST usage ?
Any help will be appreciatedYou shouldn't need to press the Sync button. In the Pod options menu for the share pod, with the PPT loaded, you will see an option for Show Presentation Playbar. Use that to get the Play button for the Hosts and Presenters in the room, and press play. The presentation will now play in a looped mode for everyone in a synchronized mode. You can also then hide the playbar to keep other Hosts and Presenters from stopping the playback and the Participants will never see the playbar or have the option to stop the presentation.
Additionally, if your focus is on the Share pod (has the focus highlight), you can use the 'P' key to begin playing the presentation without revealing the playbar to anyone. Adobe Connect 9 * Accessibility features
