Dont get me wrong but why on earth are you installing oracle on fedora which is a completely unsupported platform. In addition to that you dont seem to have enough linux experience to debug/fix this simple errors yourself. Generally speaking this forum is for help but i am getting bored answering posts like "Oracle does not run on <insert unsupported linux distribution here>". On Windows nobody tried to install Oracle 11g R2 on Windows NT to see if it works and asked here for help.

  • How to run Oracle workflow in windows 7 os

    Hi,
    Am new to oracle workflow.
    I have installed oracle workflow successfully in my laptop.
    After installation I dont see any shortcut's in my desktop.
    Can any one sugess me how to run oracle workflow.
    Steps to begin from basic level.
    Thanks
    Balaji

    You mean to say you installed Workflow Builder on your laptop? See that Oracle Workflow has a Client Side (WF Builder), a backend Server side and middle application side.
    Assuming you successfully installed the client side then you must have a group of programs called Oracle OUIHome and there one called Application Development. There you should be able to find Workflow builder.
    Useful notes for WF Builder:

    how to run oracle forms in ipad or smart mobile using OS( android )and connect to application server 10g?????
    Thanks

    If you had looked at data dashboard and some of the other links on Android, you would see that you cannot run a LabVIEW app on Android. Nor can you use a serial port. With Data Dashboard, you have a pc running LabVIEW and it publishes to network shared variables. Data Dashboard on the Android allows you to view those variables.

    What is the difference between installation of Oracle 10gR2 on fedora 7 and fedora 9. If anyone know the link for Oracle 10R2 installation on fedora 9 please put here.The above link really helped me to get out of the problem of failing from prereq check of the OS.
    Since fedora 9 was not released during 10gr2 probably it's not supported. But with the url "http://www.puschitz.com/InstallingOracle10g.shtml" just go down find (I do not recommend to execute "runInstaller -ignoreSysPrereqs) key .

    Do the following:
    1. As Sarah mentioned, ensure that you have JRE 1.6.0_12 or newer installed.
    2. In the Builder, ensure that you have entered both the Application Server URL and Web Browser Location values. Neither of these fields should be left blank. The browser location should be the complete path to the desired browser and include the exe name. For example if you were going to use IE it would look like this:
    C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE
    These settings are found in the Builder under EDIT > PREFERENCES > RUNTIME

  • How to Run Oracle Reports from the web.

    How can we run Oracle Reports from the web - for example from a portal such as "Gateway"
    This is a univeristy that implements Banner - so can we run them from within Banner?

    Yes, of course. And for running the reports-server you need an OAS. Maybe here is a good starting point http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/reports.html

    The CMSDK uses the oci8 interface to connect to the database. The classes12.jar file has to correspond to the appropriate ocijdbc9.dll file; and the ocijdbc9.dll file is dependent on about 26 other DLLs beginning with oci*.dll and ora*.dll.
    I've found that the 10.1.0 and 9.2.0 database client releases contain the wrong oci*.dll family (at least for JDeveloper) and I use the 9.0.4 AS Client tree in my path when I work with CMSDK.
    My quick test is to see if I can connect to my database using JDeveloper Connect DBMS with the oci8 connection method. This seems to put out some reasonable error messages explaining why it failed, e.g. it tells you that it couldn't find the right DLL dependency.

  • How to install Oracle Applications on Fedora Core 6?

    I am trying to install Oracle Applications on Fedora Core 6. But when i start rapidinstall it is showing the error as permission denied eventhough all permissions are correct. I tried this with singleuser and multiuser also.
    Is it possible to install Oracle Applications on Fedora Core 6?

    It is probably best to stick with Red Hat AS/ES 3.0/4.0, Oracle Linux 4.0, or SLES9/Suse9/10 for installing Oracle Applications. Even if you could install it on FC 6, it is likely it would break, and be very difficult to get it working again.
    Here are the RH 4 prerequisites:
    Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS/ES 4.0*      Legacy Software Development package and X Software Development package
    Note: Select these packages from the Package Group Selection screen. If the operating system is already installed, use System Settings > Add/Remove Applications to install these two packages.
    The following components will be installed automatically:
    compat-db-4.1.25-9
    compat-gcc-32-3.2.3-47.3
    compat-gcc-32-c++-3.2.3-47.3
    compat-oracle-rhel4-1.0-5
    compat-libcwait-2.0-2
    compat-libgcc-296-2.96-132.7.2
    compat-libstdc++-296-2.96-132.7.2
    compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.3
    xorg-x11-deprecated-libs-devel-6.8.1-23.EL
    xorg-x11-deprecated-libs-6.8.1-23.EL
    The following required component must be installed manually:
    openmotif-2.1.30-x
    Note: For information on downloading the openmotif component, see the instructions at the following URL: https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2 005-412.html

    on of my client using Linux (UBUNTU) OS.he wants to run oracle application on firefox.but firefox always asks for intall plugins..
    what setting should i do to run my application on firefox linux(UBUNTU) client.

    When using Firefox Browser 3.0.x, you have to manually install the java plugin on your pc and copy the NPJPI150_xx.dll to the plugin directory of Firefox.
    Make sure, that you use exactly the same version, as you named in your formsweb.cfg configuration.
    In my case, were we use Java Plugin 1.5.0_06, I have these linse in my formsweb.cfg file:
    # For Firefox:
    jpi_mimetype=application/x-java-applet;jpi-version=1.5.0_06
    # For IE:
    jpi_classid=clsid:CAFEEFAC-0015-0000-0006-ABCDEFFEDCBA

  • How to run Oracle Report in new window

    Hi,
    There appear to be many threads regarding this issue, but so far I've been unable to piece together a solution to my problem.
    My requirements are quite simple really.
    - Invoke an Oracle Report from an HTMLDB page
    - Pass parameters form the page to the report URL
    - Run the report in a new window
    I have created a simple example at:
    http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=36506:1
    Page 1 contains the following HTML Header attribute
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    function callMyPopup (url){
    w = open(url,"winLov","");
    if (w.opener == null)
    w.opener = self;
    w.focus();
    </script>
    The URL i wish to invoke is
    http://myappserver/reports/rwservlet?test/test@test+report=test.rdf+&P1_PARAMETER.
    My question is, where would I put the code to invoke the URL? I'm trying to use the following code
    javascript:callMyPopup('http://myappserver/reports/rwservlet?test/test@test+report=test.rdf+&P1_PARAMETER.');
    I've tried putting this in a branch but I get a 'Page can not be displayed' error.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Andrew

    Hi,
    I'm trying to invoke an oracle report through a button in apex2.2. Please let me know how to display the report in a new window.
    I have put the URL as of now in the branch of the button, and the report is getting displayed in the same window.
    I've read some of the posts and put the URL as the target of the button instead of a branch and also used the javascript:popupURL(), but it still doesnt work for me. The URL works fine without the javascript.
    I have put the URL as of now in the branch of the button, and the report is getting displayed in the same window.
    Thanks in advance,
    Priyanka

  • How to install oracle 11g on fedora 13 or RHLE

    am a beginner on linux and start study oracle developer self study
    and i need some one explain hot to install oracle on fedora or rhle or centos
    i give up using microshit sorry microsoft
    so any one help me plz

    Oracle RDBMS is not a click and play installation no matter which computer platform. To save you some time and frustrations later, what is your computer hardware? Oracle will be the supported and easiest to install on Enterprise Linux distributions, which is usually problematic with laptop or desktop computers and Linux beginners. In the later case, you may want to consider running Linux and Oracle using hardware virtualization such as Virtualbox, provided you have sufficient RAM and CPU; this would also allow you to evaluate Linux while using Windows as your host operating system for your day to day work or until you are comfortable with Linux.
