How to save 4 artboards as 1 JPG image in Adobe Illustrator?

I am doing an online class for fundamentals of design.
I had to create 4 different designs, so I did this by doing them on 4 different artboards.
I need to save my work for "web and devices..." as a JPG image in Adobe Illustrator (this i can do). But I want to save this assignment as 1 JPG image with all four artboards showing on one image.
Can anyone tell me how to do this step by step.
Thanks so much!!!
Oh I am using Adobe Illustrator CS5.1

Make a new artboard by selecting the Artboard tool and shift-click where you want it to start, then drag it out to cover all four of the images.

  • How to use Sprout to do vector image tracing of jpg images using Adobe Illustrator or Canvas?

    How can you project jpg images on the touch screen and trace from them into a vector draw program such as Adobe Illustrator or Canvas?  Can one do such tracing with the magnetic pen on the touch pad.  Can one use the magnetic pen on the touch pad much like a mouse in such programs?
    In general how well can one use Sprout with programs like Canvas and Illustrator?

    I believe if you export it to wmf or emf you will have a Vector file that can be used in word or powerpoint and can be placed in other programs as can ai files which can be placed in word or powerpoint documents as vector files.
    Flash (swf) is another way of saving it and it is also vector.
    However even though you say you will never have use for Illustrator which is what I thought in 1995 when I use it to create a logo, I soon found more use for it and every year since have found a project that has rewarded me many times the cost of the application once I had purchased it. Most of which I never thought I had the need for and probably would not have even made the attempt to make the effort and the profit if I did not own the license.
    And every time I say to myself what do i have this application for the opportunities arises yet again.
    I thought I would share my experience with you.

  • How to save artwork to a specific size in Adobe Illustrator CC?

    Hey,
    So I'm creating a channel art for someone. I used the template provided from YouTube and opened it up in Illustrator. The problem is once I finished with the art, I deleted the template, and there's a big art board there and it's in the way, I don't want it to affect the size and dimensions of the channel art. I just need it to be 2560px by 1440px wide, is there any way I can save it exactly like that? Please be descriptive, please be fast! Thanks for reading and answering.

    Not sure what you mean by "it's in the way."
    The size of the artboard doesn't necessarily affect the "size of the art." (There are some workflow scenarios where the artboard size is recognized and utilized, but for the most part it is simply a 'passive' boundary.)
    If your art is 2560px X 1440px, and you want the artboard to match, double-click the artboard tool and choose "Fit to Artwork Bounds" at the top of the preset menu.

  • Help - problem with save for web when jpg image is placed in file

    I have a jpg image that I placed in my Illustrator 5 file to use as a backdrop and then created several vector buttons on top.  When I attempt to create an arboard around a single button and then save for web, it ignores the artboard dimensions and shows the entire jpg dimensions.  If I create the same file without the jpg backdrop image, I am able to use the artboards to save just a single button.  Any time I place a jpg image in my Illustrator file and attempt to use the artboards, the artboards are ignored and the entire area of the jpg is saved.  I am able to use the slice tool to do the saving, but I prefer to use the artboards.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the artboards to work when a jpg is placed in the file?  Thanks.

    THANK YOU!!!
    It says, "Clip to artboard".  I wasn't sure what clip meant, but that was it!  Thank you.

  • How do i convert my scanned jpg images into word

    How do i convert my scanned jpg images into word

    No, Acrobat Pro is expensive
    95% of all the professional scanned in books are in PDF, the entire structure and countless years of work have gone into Acrobat being not just the "best" standard for scanned books, but really the ONLY standard for them.
    Yes, many many little programs can convert to PDF after you have them in a file, or even from Safari you can "print as PDF" or "save as PDF"
    however it just saves them as PDF, and you can use Acrobat READER for free,....
    but Reader is just that, a reader, you cannot do pro editing, scale down the file size etc etc, signatures, portfolios etc.
    Ive got a 42 Terabyte collection of PDF books,.....Ive spent too much time staring at PDF books   LoL.

    I just really need to know... After desigining my UX, how do I go about adding the image into ADOBE FLASH BUILDER to script on top of it?
    Any and all advice is welcome.

    Do you have different versions of the graphic novel pages, or is there just one version of the page? If there is one version, can you crop into the page without losing anything important?
    I would guess that there is one version, and that cropping into the page will lose something important. If that's the case, here's how I would handle it:
    Make a stage that is 14:9. The size doesn't matter, but 1400x900 could be a good starting point.
    Put down a background texture that fits well with the look of the other images. Make that fill the 1400x900 stage.
    Place your page graphics so that they are within the center 1200x788 area of the stage.
    Set the stage scalemode to "noBorder".
    You now have a layout that will work on all devices, as narrow as iPad, and as wide as iPhone 5. All without any code. On the widest devices you'll see a bit of your background pattern to the left and right of the page graphic. On the narrowest devices you'll see a bit of background pattern above and below the page graphic. But you won't lose sight of anything important.

  • How to save a hidden window to image in PWF

    I want to convert a xaml to a png image using c#. I used RenderTargetBitmap. It works quite well if the xaml that's meant to be converted is displayed in a window or a page and you can actually see it on screen. But if the window is closed or hidden, a
    blank image will be generated. Does anyone know why this happens or how to make it work?

    Hello yf11,
    You can refer to the following MSDN article:
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa969819(v=vs.110).aspx
    How to: Encode a Visual to an Image File
    // The BitmapSource that is rendered with a Visual.
    RenderTargetBitmap rtb = new RenderTargetBitmap(bi.PixelWidth, bi.PixelHeight, 96, 96, PixelFormats.Pbgra32);
    rtb.Render(drawingVisual);
    // Encoding the RenderBitmapTarget as a PNG file.
    PngBitmapEncoder png = new PngBitmapEncoder();
    png.Frames.Add(BitmapFrame.Create(rtb));
    using (Stream stm = File.Create("new.png"))
    png.Save(stm);
    In this way you can save the image at a certain time when your window is still showing.
    Best regards,

  • How to save GPS info to an image's Properties

    Dear All,
    I am trying to save GPS information to an image, but I 've got an error message: "The parameter is incorrect. WinRT information: Cannot write to the specified property (System.GPS.Latitude). The property is read-only."
    Could you please help me to find out what's the wrong with my source code?
    And is System.GPS.Latitude a read-only property? How can I change the property to read/write?
    double GPSLatitude = 25.125965;
    List<string> propertiesName = new List<string>();
    propertiesName.Add("System.GPS.Latitude");
    IDictionary<string, object> extraProperties = await photoStorageFile.Properties.RetrievePropertiesAsync(propertiesName);
    extraProperties.Add("System.GPS.Latitude", GPSLatitude);
    await photoStorageFile.Properties.SavePropertiesAsync(extraProperties);
    Thanks,
    Angie

    I'm trying to achieve the same result, but using a BitmapEncoder.
    The Latitude works fine but I just can't seem to get the Longitude to write to the file correctly.
    (All the other properties are working fine.)
    The inputStream is from the webcam via a capture control.
    Pretty sure the decoder would behave the same if inputStream was from an StorageFile though.
    Any ideas please?
    Windows.Storage.Streams.IRandomAccessStream outputStream = await imageFile.OpenAsync(FileAccessMode.ReadWrite);
    var decoder = await Windows.Graphics.Imaging.BitmapDecoder.CreateAsync(inputStream);
    BitmapEncoder encoder = await Windows.Graphics.Imaging.BitmapEncoder.CreateForTranscodingAsync(outputStream, decoder);
    BitmapPropertySet bitmapPropSet = new BitmapPropertySet();
    bitmapPropSet.Add("System.Subject", new BitmapTypedValue(txtPhotoSubject.Text.Trim(), PropertyType.String));
    bitmapPropSet.Add("System.GPS.LatitudeNumerator", new BitmapTypedValue(new int[3] { 47, 38, 24471 }, PropertyType.Int32Array));
    bitmapPropSet.Add("System.GPS.LatitudeDenominator", new BitmapTypedValue(new int[3] { 1, 1, 1000 }, PropertyType.Int32Array));
    bitmapPropSet.Add("System.GPS.LatitudeRef", new BitmapTypedValue("E", PropertyType.String));
    bitmapPropSet.Add("System.GPS.LongitudeNumerator", new BitmapTypedValue(new int[3] { 122, 7, 470316 }, PropertyType.Int32Array));
    bitmapPropSet.Add("System.GPS.LongitudeDenominator", new BitmapTypedValue(new int[3] { 1, 1, 10000 }, PropertyType.Int32Array));
    bitmapPropSet.Add("System.GPS.LongitudeRef", new BitmapTypedValue("N", PropertyType.String));
    await encoder.BitmapProperties.SetPropertiesAsync(bitmapPropSet);
    await encoder.FlushAsync();
    Here's the resulting properties...
    EDIT (2nd Oct 2013)
    Only thing that seems to fix the issue is to not include the LongitudeDenominator property.
    Commenting out that line works ok.
    I also needed to leave the LatitudeDenominator as 1,1,1 and just include the whole seconds.
    Close enough.

  • System Check Message: How do I close my Internet Explorer to install Adobe Illustrator CS3?

    Upon installing Adobe Illustrator CS3, I cannot finish installing because system check tells me that Internet Explorer needs to be closed. I am using Windows Vista Home Edition Premium. I'm simply confused because I do not know exactly how to close Internet Explorer to finish my installation process. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

    hello, unfortunately when you search for this error message it appears that it might be related to malware that is active on your system and blocks file downloads.
    please try to run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes], [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner], [http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/default.aspx microsoft safety scanner] & [http://www.kaspersky.com/security-scan kaspersky security scan].
    if you can't download/execute any of those tools, you might want to try to boot windows into safe mode with networking support first and see if it works then: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=windows-7

  • How to: Save many PDF files containing images as jpeg

    I have a whole lot of PDF files that only contain images. I need them to be in jpeg format however.
    To convert them I'd need to open all theses pdf files in Preview and then "save as" jpeg. This does the job wonderfully.
    But it only does so for one pdf/image at a time. There's no way I can do this for all the files.
    I need to preserve the pdf files' names, too, so I can't combine the files and insert them into one pdf. This would result in having jpegs all right, but with names that do not represent the original file names.
    How can I batch process this with Preview?
    I tried the Automator but haven't found any way of doing it there.
    Does anyone have an idea how to accomplish that?

    Hi PPAC,
    What version of Windows are you running? I found another thread about this particular issue, with two possible solutions. One is to make sure that you're logged in as an administrator, and the other is to change the compatibility to earlier version of Windows. (Right-click the Acrobat application icon, choose Properties, and then choose compatibility.)
    I'm also curious what export settings you're choosing when you save as JPEG...
    Best,
    Sara

  • How to detect alterations to a JPG image that has been saved as a PDF

    I have received a file containing a cancelled bank check that was downloaded from a bank website and saved as a PDF of the screenshot. Upon opening the PDF, it appears that some of the original hand-written text in the image has been altered. I believe this PDfFwas originally saved as a JPG, then altered, then saved as a PDF. Is there any way to determine if indeed the text has been altered in the file? Thanks!

    Not easily.  The bank's original version may have been a JPEG, then a screenshot was taken of that and saved as a PDF with unknown compression.  (really, who saves a screenshot as a PDF?)
    You can examine the PDF in a text editor to see what created it.  You can open it in Illustrator to see the layer data (which might show tampering).
    Beyond that you'd need an imaging forensics expert to look for tampering with the JPEG compressed image data (was it compressed more than once, was something significantly altered)?
