How to save a large duotone image as a jpeg

I am trying to prepare a large duotone image for printing with an online printing service which requires jpg format. I use PS7 and have been able to use the  "save for the web" but that works only to a certain size. Is there another way? Thanks!

If the printer only accepts JPG files and you fear the 'save for web' size warning, convert your color mode to RGB and then save as JPG.
Duotones are typically for spot color printing. An online printer that uses JPG files is probably CMYK-only so there is no reason to limit yourself to a two-ink design unless it is for aesthetics.

    The "iPad format" is PNG (which is better quality than JPEG).
    There is no way to choose JPEG at the moment of taking the screen shot. You will need to convert the file using conversion software, probably on your computer. Google "convert PNG to JPEG".

  • How to import many large graphic images to fit into column width?

    I have a 2-column layout and about 150 large graphic images which must be imported so that they fit exactly into the column width. These are bitmaps which have all the same dimensions. All of them will need a border (stroke). And they should be inline graphics because they belong to exact positions in the text flow.
    What would be the sensible approach to that (apart from scripting which I have not done yet)? I tried to define an object style which has the attribute "Fit content to frame", but this does not scale the image to the column size. How can I avoid to format 150 those images manually?

    It may be easier to change the ppi in photoshop so the image can be placed at the exact size.
    so if the image is 10 inches and the file is 300 ppi
    with resample image unchecked change the width to whatever you want it say 2 inches no the ppi will automatically change to 1500 ppi. Save. If you are creating a PDF make sure these images are not downsampled if you need the resolution.
    another way if all images are the same size would be to size one and place it where all the images go and relink to the other pics, when you relink it should retain the properties of the previous pic.

  • How to save a scan in Image Capture?

    How do I save my scan in image capture?
    What option to I go to save it as a JPEG or PNG to my computer?

    There's no Save command because Image Capture automatically saves scans when you click the Scan button.
    To find the format options, you have to click Show Details at the bottom. This will reveal the save location and format options, including an Overview button so you can test your crop etc. settings before you do the final scan.

    This suggestion is not very helpful because this information is very difficult to find in the Help. Image Capture doesn't have a "Save" or "Export" command like most apps do, so anyone trying to find this info in Image Capture Help will be frustrated until they eventually dig down and discover the section "Scan images with a flatbed scanner using detailed options." In fact, if someone searches for the term "save" it doesn't even turn up any results, and "JPEG" or "PNG" only turns up results for the digital camera import part of Image Capture, nothing about scanning.
    The Apple help for Image Capture is so incomplete and counter-intuitive that this is one of those times when it's better to answer the question directly then to dump someone into the top level of Help with no guidance.

    Hi all
    In my application i have a option for the user to save HTML files with images present in the server. The HTML file is getting saved but the images are not being saved.
    The code i am using is below :-
    l
                        File fname = new File(filePath);
                        if(!fname.exists())                return;

    The client should probably parse the html that comes down, and look for <img> links, and request those of the server as well.

    I have a very strange problem. I want to extract the image from word using open xml sdk. Here the user selects the image on opened word, and then clicks on any button, so it should extract the same selected image to any predefined location in the PNG format.

  • How to save a large jpg from a small eps

    I created a logo in ai cs5 that is the size of 7w x 4h. But I wanted to be able to create a larger jpg. Since the vector format allows for the image to be scaled, is there a way to scale it larger, then create a jpg at this larger size? Or, is there a way to scale it to 500% and then save it as a new file with this enlarged size being 100%? I'm fairly new to AI, but have used PS for quite some time, so please be gentle.
    Thanks,

  • How Can Make a Large Background Image For A Website (reduced file size)?

    Hi, I want to edit a large photo so that it fits the width of the browser (I'm using a responsive layout). The image needs to be a small file size so that it loads quick enough.... My question is are their any tricks or adjustments within Photoshop where I can reduce the file size of an image whilst maintaing large image size. I heard that adding noise can reduce the file size or something? Is there any other effects that do this?
    Thanks in advance!!!

  • How to save Byte Array of raw data into JPEG image.

    Hello!
    I have a image and I stored its data as byte array as
    bimage = bitmap1.getRawData();
    now I have Byte[] bimage, I want to save it as .jpeg image.
    and show that image..............

    the short way is this:
    ImageIO.write(bimage, "jpeg", new File("image.jpg"));
    Where you use the original Image object... but it has to be a java.awt.image.RenderedImage (which a java.awt.image.BufferedImage is). So this method would come in handy.
         public static BufferedImage getBufferedImage(Image img) {
              // if the image is already a BufferedImage, cast and return it
              if((img instanceof BufferedImage) && background == null) {
                   return (BufferedImage)img;
              // otherwise, create a new BufferedImage and draw the original
              // image on it
              int w = img.getWidth(null);
              int h = img.getHeight(null);
              BufferedImage bi = new BufferedImage(w, h, BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_ARGB);
              Graphics2D g2d = bi.createGraphics();
              g2d.drawImage(img, 0, 0, w, h, null);
              g2d.dispose();
              return bi;
         }If the byte array you have is raw image data, then you can look at the javax.imageio package and see what you can do with those classes.

  • How do I Convert a  Tiff image to a jpeg without being FORCED to 8-bit Color?

    I am an Artist.  I have High quality TIFF images.  When I convert the tiffs to jpeg it forces me into 8-bit color automatically. (Forget about 32bit - it will not allow me to jpeg that at all)   The only way I can get back to 16bit color is to use the already SMAshed file and bring it up to 16bit.  THIS makes NO sense.  Once the jpeg is smashed, HOw in the world is it supposed to convert up again. ??  Then even though it says you converted the file to 16 -bit , the metadata refers still to the file as 8-bit.
    On top of all of that confusion, One picture, for example, when supposedly converted to 16bit,  gets much BRighter then even the original Tiff image.  It looks good on one hand and over exposed on the other.  I assume that is photoshop throwing in fake resolution, am I right?
    Am I wasting my time with this imaginary 16bit conversion?
    Is there ANY way to take that original Tiff image and convert it to 16bit jpeg without the Default 8bit?  I have been trying all kinds of things.  I even have asked my web guy.  My web guy says that 8-bit is unexceptable for printing, even for web.
    Could this have anything to do with my computer and scanner?
    I have the iMAC OS X 10.8.3 (3.2 GHz) 8 GB memory.
    And I also have an Epson Expression 10000XL graphic arts scanner capable of scanniing at 48bit color.
    This color stuff Really matters!  It MATTERS!  I HAve FINE art files.  I am already losing so much quality with the jpeg conversion. (which I am required to do for SmugMug, in addition to compressing all my files to 50mb or Under)
    Anyone who knows anything that could help me would be much appreciated.
    Aloha,
    -Melissa

    First of all jpeg is 8 bit only there is no way to save as a 16 or 32 bit jpg, just does not exist. Secondly people print in 8 bit all the time and most if not all web graphics are in 8 bit as that is the only way to view it as there is no 16 bit or 32 bit monitors to view it. All but a few pro monitors are 8 bit monitors.
    If you care about the color gamut and want the full range of color that 16 and 32 bit provide, then why jpg? Jpg by its own nature throws out color just to compress, thats why it is popular on the web, because of its small file size not its quality. If you need 16 or 32 bit for anything it must be in a format that supports that color depth.
    That being said a jpg image at 8 bit will display 16+ million colors,  256 shades of red, 256 shades of green and 256 shades of blue.
    Now here is where I think your bit information is off. a jpg image is a 24 bit image that will produce 8 bits of red, 8 bits of green and 8 bits of blue.
    The 8, 16 and 32 are per channel not total color information.
    If the overall image was 8 bits, the image would be gayscale.

  • How to save a BufferredImage with RGB color encoded JPEG file.
