How to save a watermark in quicktime 7?

Hi, I have quicktime 7 and I have problem saving a watermark I've added in video properties... any tips to save/export the changes?

It should be as simple as "Save As" and giving the new file different name.

I am new to adobe acrobat, and I'm using version 8. I am trying to insert quicktime videos in a PDF File. I have figured out how to insert the video files and embed them in the PDF.
However, when I save the PDF, close it, and then re-open the it, the quicktime file does not appear. If I don't use a poster image, then it is just blank where the file is, but the file is there, and when I click on the empty space where I know that it has been embedded a dialog box opens about playing it just this once, or making it a trusted file, etc. Then it plays, and the volume and playblack controls, along with the background, are visible. (it is actually just an audio track in a quicktime file, so nothing is playing but the audio, and the background is solid black. I have set it up so that it stays there once activated.
What I want is for the volume and playblack controls and the black background to appear as soon as you open the PDF file, without having to click in the blank area where the file has been inserted. This is going to be part of a portfolio that I am submitting for a school program, so I need the person that is opening it to be able to clearly see where the file is, and see the playblack and volume controls so that he can playback the file.
So how do i get the embedded quicktime file to automatically show up in "activated" mode, with the playback and volume controls visible and ready to be used?

If the video is only linked it would reduce the file size of the pdf and it would make it accessible for people opening on a device (like iPad) which does not allow flash which must be installed with Acrobat to view embedded media.
But I would recommend to send the people only a link to the PDF. I hate it, when my iPhone filled with useless stuff, if I would like to see it I could donwload, but as attachment make my space overfilled.

I am familiar with iMovies 9 and using OSX 10.6.8. Unfortunately I have a new MacPro on OS 10.9.2 and iMovie10 (give me back my old MAcbook any day). I have finished making the movie and saved it on the desktop in mp4 format. All I want to do now is to find out is how to save the movie I have made so I can possibly get to it again to maybe add/delete things from it. In other words, I simply want to save it -
how do I do this?
can I save the movie in m4v format like I did in iMovie 9?
the mp4 format is 900Mb for 10 min, the 12 minute movie I did in iMovie 9 is 400Mb when both saved as 720p. Why?

Ok I think I've worked it out (did not know your could share to the theater, the icloud message made me assume theater was just for icloud) but I've another technical question about export quality and pictures in videos.
I just published four different quality movies (480p, 560p, 720p, 1080p) which only had a few average quality digital pics in them, just to create a short movie to compare.
I've always assumed that the quality of pictures was handled differently to video in that pictures would be fine quality even with lower quality setting, and the thing that really got hurt by lesser xxxP quality was the moving video not the pictures. But when I resized all four Quicktime movies so they were the same size and put them next to each other I could notice quite a difference in the sharpness between each of them. Since I'd rather have the pictures all used at their best quality will I have to choose the 60GB 1080p export function anyway at some point? It seems like such a waste of space and time when technically there are only about ten frames in the entire clip!
Surely there's some kind of video encoding language where you can make the file size reflect this? Kinda like what vector graphics did to bitmap formats for image files.
There must be a way round this ...

Save logic .aiff as quicktime file

I posted this question in the iweb board and got some interesting ideas but was curious if anyone here had any other thoughts.
I'm adding short .aiff's to an iweb site for people to right click and save.
-I'm making the .aiff using logic express.
-Bouncing to desktop.
-under "get info" I'm changing the .aiff to "open using quicktime player" which makes the file look like a quicktime file with the big "Q" on it. When I double click on the file, it opens with quicktime player. All's good!
-I create a text box in iweb and link the .aiff (actually they are .aifc) file to text box, just regular stuff for creating links for files.
-After I publish site to folder. When I go in and right click on the link to save to desktop, the file I thought used quicktime player becomes an itunes associated .aiff file with the itunes colors (green) and opens using itunes, thus adding the file to my itunes library.
I'd like people to be able to click on the .aiff and quicktime player would automatically open and play the file, this way unwanted stuff won't be added to people's itunes library. Maybe I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill, but it would be nice to stay out of peoples itunes libraries, it's kind of annoying when stuff is added to mine that I don't want. Know what I mean (in a cheesy Elvis voice)?
Any thoughts on how to keep the file a quicktime associated file after download?

ps, I've been looking up the difference between .aiff and .aifc. It looks as though they are about the same except you can compress .aifc. Does it really matter which is which if you're not compressing or anything and just clicking and playing?

iWeb only uses QuickTime formats (or those it can play) in your html files. It (version 1.1) uses special javascript files to hold the source code and for non "standard" QT formats it use the special qtsrc tag to "force" the browser plug-in to play the file.
Setting the Get Info properties on your computer doesn't change the file format for other users or viewers of your file.
Since the QuickTime browser plug-in will be opening the file only QT Pro users will be able to "save" it.
If you are "linking to a file" instead of using the browser plug-in the viewer will either get a download or the file will open in a new browser window. If the QT browser preferences are set to open .aiff (or aifc) your file will open in new window. You make these settings via the QuickTime sys prefs/Advanced and clicking on the MIME Settings button. You'll see .aiff under Audio.
If you want to "force" a download you should use the Finder to create an Archive. Your file will now become something.aifc.zip and users will download it when the click the link.
It will still open in iTunes for those users that have .aiff set to open in that app.
Better would be to convert it to .mov format which is always associated with the QuickTime Player. You would still want to archive it before adding it to iWeb so that it downloads instead of playing in the browser window.

I have no idea if they will charge you a fee for the service ($40 US dollar/hour). It might not even help you (fee or no fee) because you do not have the latest version of Premiere Elements.
What you ask is easy enough. Let me try again with a step by step to see if we can get this working for you in principle and then fine tune the details.
1. Export your Timeline to a file, using Publish+Share/Computer and then one of the choices
Adobe Flash Video, MPEG, AVCHD, AVI, Windows Media, QuickTime, Image, Audio. I do not know what your project settings are, but I am going to guess at NTSC/AVCHD/Full HD1080i30. That would represent 1920 x 1080 @ 29.97 interlaced frames per second.
The following is going to be a mini test run in principle so we will cut to the core and overlook some things.
Go to Publish + Share/Computer/AVCHD/ and set Presets = MP4 - H.264 1920 x 1080p30.
Note that there is a field for Save In: near where you set Presets. Set the Save In for Libraries/Documents not C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 11. Keep out of the Program Files for matters such as these.
Go to the Elements Organizer 12 File Menu/Get Photos and Videos/From Files and Folders and then browse to and select your MP4 file that you have saved in Libraries/Documents.
You now should have your video represented in the Elements Organizer 12 with a thumbnail.
Please let us know if that works for you. If not, then please let us know where you need supplemental help to get the task completed. I will re-write if necessary.

Add On...A little side note for later...If you took your file saved to the computer hard drive and imported that back into Premiere Elements with Premiere Elements' Add Media/Files and Folders, you would get
a. the file imported into a new project
but also
b. a copy of the file automatically placed in the Elements Organizer 12.
If the ideas seem overwhelming, please take the steps on one at a time and follow exactly what is written. You should do fine.

How to save files received with iChat?

I was in a text chat with a friend. He sent me an mp3 file, and it showed up in the chat window with the familiar play controls of Quicktime.. I was able to listen to it and everything. However, I couldn't figure out how to save the files??? All I could do was play, rewind etc...no way that I could see to save it.
Any help you can provide?

Hi John,
You should be able to drag it from the window to the Desktop and subsequently, any folder.
Alternatively you can set iChat to save all Chats and replay it from there.
Or use Save As when the App that uses the files is open with the file in question.

This usually depends on how your system is configured, whether or not QT 7.6.6 is keyed for "pro" use, how you plan to view, the file, and, where multiple options exist, which work flow you personally prefer.
1) For instance, on my currently configured system I can use QT 7 Pro v7.6.6 to export a PCT file using any of the available compression codecs. Unfortunately, PCT files have been replaced by PNG files as the default "system" image format. Therefore many apps no longer support this format or may limit transcoding possibility. (E.g., on my system I can open such a file in Preview but it limits export to PCT and PDF formats while Photoshop will open the file and export/save the to any of its normally available image file output formats.
2) You can use the "Command-C" option to save a copy of the current frame to clipboard memory, but once again the image is stored as PCT data by QT 7 so apps like Preview will not allow you to open an new file using data contained in the clipboard but Photoshop does on my system.
3) Another option would be to use the built-in system option to capture a screen shot of the QT 7 frame you want with or without the player framing the image and with or without an image shadow. This work flow captures a PNG image which is easily edited and/or converted to other image file formats by apps like Preview or Photoshop.
4) If you wish to use the 32-bit QT riutines but aren't tied to the use of the QT 7 Player, then you could use the free MPEG Streamclip app to capture the frame you want without that player frame and save it directly as a JPG, PNG, or TIF image file format.
5) In a similar manner, your can open your clip in the QT X player and then capture a frameslees frame directly to PNG using the system screen capture option without resorting to a secondary app for capture/conversion.
In short there are many work flows and apps that will allow you to do what you want once you decide which best suits your needs.

This will come after the data was EDITTED and when SAVE was clicked by user in output scren.
Here now in the final internal table(ITAB) you can find the data changed in EDIT mode.
After this you can do manipulation what ever you want.

Usually it goes to the last folder used or the folder the current PDF was opened from (I am getting the latter in my current Acrobat). If you want a different folder, you will have to go through the tree to your desired folder process.

I can't figure out how to save my events onto an external hardrive

I have been looking at the event libraries and everywhere to figure out how to save my files onto an external hardrive. I currently use FCPX to edit Call of Duty Montages for people as my job so I need this to work. I don't know what I'm doing wrong and I really need storage.

In the Copy Files Into: field there is a pop up that allows you select where your media is copied to.
Looking at the above screen shot if I want files to be copied to my External LaCie drive I just tick that one.
Firstly you will have to create at least one Library on the External to send it there.
There is the CHOOSE option that allows you to navigate anywhere on the the system to manually select a destination.

i'm assuming that you have seen my post that i did successfuly save report in user's personal category.
Actually the report is created in webi java panel using RE SDK and is saved in Report Sample Folder then i'm saving it in user's personal category by following code

i m creating a class that has three JList components.
My problem is how to save the each JList items into a seperate logfile(ie. text file).

What are in the JList? Strings? Custom objects?
Do you know basic file IO?

What you will need to do is get the model, ilterate over each element, then write that element out. If the element is a string, then that is easy, just create a FileWriter, and write the string, followed by a new line.
If it is a custom object, then the task is harder, and you need to decide how that object should be represented.
If you are after a computer readable view of the model, rather than a human readable, which can easily be read by Java back into a ListModel, then you want to look at XMLEncoder and XMLDecode, or the Serializing Objects tutorial.

That was all I could put in the initial "box." Then it brought me to this page with instructions on how to write a good sentence.

After going back and forth between Apple, AT&T and the police (all telling me to go to the other two) I took AT&Ts suggestion and got a new number. One tech warned against doing a backup, especially on my Mac, saying if my phone had been hacked then whatever bug was there would then invade my computer. But nobody knows how to determine if the phone has been hacked or a virus was planted there. Unfortunately I know who would have reason to do such a thing and all I can say is that he is at the top technologically and could easily do it. Almost impossible to prove, however.
So I need to preserve my text messages and my emails as well. I backed up my photos to that Microsoft product (One-Drive) and it froze (Surprise, Surprise) with four short videos to go, and no way of stopping that (when I tried it crashed repeatedly) so I'm in crisis mode here.

Betty I don't know if you fixed your hacking problem but I feel your pain. I've seen some strange things going on between my iMac and my iPhone and Apple has told me the same thing, call the police which I have done. The hackers have stole 500.00 out of my checking account have access to every internet account I use and no matter how often I change the password their right back on the account. I closed my FB account 3 times only to have someone reopen it. Right now I've got a link in my reading list (Safari) that if I click on it, it allows me to log onto my FB account anonymously.
I've seen a green folder come out of no where while I was trying to delete my passwords out of keychain when that green folder was put into the key chain I was immediately locked out. I than went into system preferences to try to make changes to my security settings, when I clicked on the icon it wouldn't open. I've seen log files of automator receiving commands and sending out my personal information thats on my computer.
I have a legitamate program called iExplorer that allows you to look at the contents of your iPhone back ups and saw a transaction someone made at the Apple store for some full length movies, some albums, ibooks and other apps but when I called the iTunes store and they said none of those items were showing up on my account. If their not on my account how can they be on my iPhone 6? One day someone was using my gmail account and unknowingly used google maps to search for an Italian restaurant, than a Mexican restaurant than a coffee shop and their search showed up on my iPhone but I didn't have my gmail account installed on my iPhone 6. Using my computer I logged onto my gmail account and looked at the maps history and sure enough there were the searches when I'd hover my curser over the link it gave me the longitude and latitude of the where the hacker was when he was using google maps. I know whoever reads this thinks Im crazy but I've documented everything and can prove the things that I have mentioned in this post actually happened.
One day I had my laptop (pc) and my iMac next to each other as I was using both. when I clicked on airport it showed that my laptop and my iMac had made a connection and were actually communicating with each other. I know I didn't do it I don't know how. The iMac was logged into my iCloud account while my laptop wasn't. I have formatted my iPhone at least a dozen times, Apple and an Apple retailer have formatted my hard drive not to mention the numerous times I have formatted it but the hackers keep getting on my devices. Im formatting my lap top at this very second because during the course of the night I left the ethernet cable plugged into it and they locked me out of my c: drive, and configured the system so I can't download any updates from Microsoft, overtime I type in www.microsoft.com it changes to ww38.microsoft.com which takes me to a blank page. I right clicked on the page I was redirected to and read the java script and couldn't believe that someone had actually configured Internet Explorer to redirect me to a blank page when I tried to go to Microsoft. Apples answer to all this is there was nothing wrong with my iPhone or my iMac and if I thought there was a problem to call the police which I have done.
Theres no doubt the hackers are reading this while I type it or will read it and I simply don't care anymore. I no longer email anyone, don't use my iCloud account and have taken precautions to protect my credit but if I ever find out who has invaded my privacy to this extreme the police are going to want to talk to me because Im going to hurt them like they've never been hurt before
