How to save battery power

How can I save battery power on my iPhone5. When I go to work I keep my phone in a drawer at that time it seems to lose power very fast. Any other time the power is fine.

http://www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html
If cellular reception is minimized when placed on a drawer, more battery will be used trying to maintain cellular reception with or without making any calls. If not being used during that time, enable Airplane mode on the iPhone before being placed in the drawer.

Now you swipe downward, the app will appear and you delete, keep scolling to the right as in the past.  With the new operating system you also swipe downward to get the search bar to find an app

  • Satellite M100 - Does a disabled firewire port saves battery power?

    Hey everybody
I do not need IEEE so..
If I disable firewire in device manager will it turn it off and will it help to save battery power?

    Hi Dmitrij
I doubt that disabled firewire port will help you to save battery power.
If you want to save the battery power you should check the Toshiba Power Saver settings and options.
    Check the HowTO document

  • How to save battery life on iPod touch 5g?

Give me tips on how to save battery life on iPod touch 5g.It dies out very quickly.

    Turn down the screen brightness
Look into notifications. it defaults to everything being on and you can turn off most if not all of them.
Check your e-mail. If it's on push that means it's reaching out for new mails every so often, turning it to fetch means that it only goes to get mail when you tell it to.
Look at some of your apps. Some of them may be doing things in the background that you don't realize and you can tweak those to not run when you don't need them to run.

  • How to save battery life (ipad mini)

When I'm away from home and I don't have my charger. What are some ways that will save my battery life? I know the basics like screen brightness and double tapping the home button to delete history. Are there more ways I can save lots of battery life?

See some of the links below.
Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
    http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. What I notice is after 3 hours (approx) of disconnecting the phone from charging socket  battery is reduced  a bit I do not know how to measure the battery remaining etc , are these apps the reason for drain out of battery quickly if yes then how do I disable them for a few hours and re activate back again.
Or I need some thing else to do to save battery?

To cut the long story short.. Refer THIS  and THIS
There are a lot of applications available at the MarketPlace which will give you the remaining battery time..but keep in mind that these values are calculated based on the immediate use and are just indicative. (e.g. immediately after playing a game which is draining the battery at a fast rate the battery may show 5 hrs. remaining..but after that you don't use the phone for a long time and the remaining battery may show as 12 hrs..)

  • How to save battery life for ios 7

How do you save battery life

There is many things to help save battery life on IOS, hear are some battery saving tips I use when with low battery  .
Battery saver 1: Turn off Bluetooth , by going to "Settings>Bluetooth" and switching the little "On/Off" toggle.
Battery saver 2: Turn down the screen brightness half way or just below is fine, for at home, but if you use your idevice outside turn it up just below max brightness so you can see the screen, to turn up or down brightness you can navigate to "Settings>Wallpaper and Brightness" and there will be a slider to adjust brightness.Or if you are on IOS 7 you can swipe up from the bottom of the screen and it will bring up "Action Centre" and there will be a little sun icon, next to it will be another brightness slider, to exit "Action Centre" press the home button or just swipe the little down arrow.
Battery saver 3: Volume turn the volume up and down at certain times of day "eg: I turn volume up full or just below in the afternoons because most things are going on in the afternoon that probably make lots of noise, and at night turn it down because your ears have adjusted to quietness  and can pickup on quieter sounds".
Battery saver 4: Turn off WIFI when not in use "eg when playing games or just switched off" you can do this by going to "Settings>WIFI" there will be a "On/Off" toggle or via "Action Centre" "IOS 7+".
Battery saver 5: When your not going to be using your device for a while shut it down by holding the "Sleep/Wake" button.
Battery saver 6: Close apps running in the background by double tapping the home button and holding down the running apps then tap the little "-" minus in a red circle to close "IOS 6 and lower", things are a little different with IOS 7 its the same process of double tapping  the home button but a different way to execute the apps, you do this by swiping "Up" on the open apps. "Tip: You can swipe 3 at once!".

  • Disable 1 CPU core to save battery power?

Would disabling one of two CPU cores in energy saver make the battery last longer?
Energy saver features no longer make clear what is happening. When using the slower 9400 GPU is the processor also throttled?
It would be nice to be able to see if this is the case and manually throttle the processor if it is not.
Activity monitor should show when cpu's are disabled and or throttled.
CPU Disable/Throttle Settings should include option to come back online if processor use reaches throttle limit for a period of time, or only when certain programs reach the throttle limit for an extended period of time. like photoshop in a large batch operation or final cut in project render.
This request has been sent to Apple Feedback.

The facility to turn off a core is mainly for use by developers who need to test their software under different conditions as well as to be sure the software will work on single-core machines. It's not really intended for use as an energy saving technique.
Remember that if you switch GPUs you must then restart or log out for it to take effect. I'm not sure which of those you are supposed to do since I don't have one of the new machines. I think the info is in your user manual.
Check your Energy Saver preferences to be sure you implement settings that will preserve battery power such as sleeping the drive on idle, putting the screen asleep quickly when not in use - two or three minutes, and putting the computer to sleep after a short period of non-use - five or ten minutes. Enable the option to dim the screen and turn down the screen's backlight as much as you can stand. These all help to extend battery operation.
You really should not need to disable one of the cores as the built-in speedstep should throttle down the processor when idle or when the processor doesn't require full power.

  • Does anybody know how to save battery on the iPhone?

It seems like everybody has a better battery life than me because I can barely make it throughout a day on a single charge and I hear that some people can last 2-4 days on a single charge. How long does your iPhone last on a single charge? Do you have any tips for me? Thanks!!!

An impossible question. What do you have enabled, what have you disabled, what use do you make for calls, data?
Tip: disable what you don"t need. Reset the phone.

  • How To Save Battery When Playing League of Legends?

Is there any way I can save my battery without having to charge it constant whilst playing League of Legends?
I had done this in the past, an it resulted in screwing my MacBook Pro battery :'(
    Any advice would be awesome.
    Thanks,
    Carol-Anne

When gaming you SHOULD have it plugged in when you can.
Your lithium batteries dont like fast discharges over the long term, which is exactly what gaming does.
because “Li-ion degrades fastest at high state-of-charge”.

  • How to save battery

I have a problem with a battery of my iPod touch. It uses a lot of power even when it is off. I have to completely shut down when I don't use only for one hour. It is really annoying. It became worse after I updated its OS to iOS4.3.

  • How Repair Loose Battery Power Port?

The power port on my daughter's 12" G4 Al PowerBook is either loose or bent. She has tested the power adapter on other computers and it works. Definitely the port is loose or bent internally rather than the adapter. She has to hold the adapter against the computer to get it to connect to charge.
Is it possible to open the laptop so as to reach the internal port's location and see if it can be repaired?
If so, how open it with what tools?
Don't mess with it and just take it to an Apple Store? It's not under warranty any longer. 3 years old.
    Other procedure?
    Thanks

    Richard -
If you signed up for Applecare, they might take care of it. If not, check out iFixit.
    http://www.ifixit.com/cart/catalog/
They'll let you know what the part's in stock ( you're looking for the DC-in board, by the way ) and they have very discernable photographic repair manuals.
Be forewarned though, this isn't an amazingly easy fix. While it's just a matter of swapping out the DC card, there are plenty of things that can go wrong on the way to it. However, if you have some basic practice with electronics and computers, it's nothing you can't handle. Just be carefull when you remove the keyboard, it's easy to break the ribbon wire.
    best of luck.

Should I take it to the apple store?

    Try these steps as needed.
    1. Reset iPhone (no data loss): Press both home and power buttons for at least 10 seconds, releasing when the Apple logo appears.
    2. Restore in iTunes using a backup (no data loss)
