How to save browsed websites?

Hi,
I do not have internet connections home. I want to see websites that I have browsed. Is there a way to cache or save browsed websites? Saving each visited website is not my option because it may be tedious.
Thank you,

Sorry, I don't know what this means w the rest of the post?
Beautiful Sky does not have an internet connection at home, so when she (or he) is able to connect to the internet, she would like a way to archive entire sites (not just single pages) to view offline.
+Edit: Actually, that last sentence may not be Beautiful Sky's exact intention. Re-reading, I realize she's looking for a way to go back, when offline, and view any site that was viewed when online, without having to deliberately save it. I'm pretty sure that's not possible, but the above idea might be a tolerable substitute+.
I don't know of a good way to do this, but I'm guessing someone here might know of a program or method for archiving many pages of a web site ...?
For what it's worth, this isn't a strange request. Internet Explorer for Mac used to do it, letting you set it so it would save pages 1 link deep, 2 links deep, etc. It would save all pages and graphics accordingly, to the best of its ability, making it easy to browse large chunks of a web site when offline. I just don't know of a current web browser or program that does this now in Mac OS X.

  • How can I browse websites without disabling FP or Protected Mode?

I have been installing the latest Flash Players on Windows 7 computers, with IE 8 and 9 for over a month with this issue.  Once our Users are logged in with just User Level accounts they may be able at first to browse websites like MSN or TV stations, but the next day or so cannot do so (Pages take forever if they waited!) unless the IE Add-on of Shockwave Player is disabled, or IE Security setting Protected Mode is unchecked (disabled).  I've tried some steps including changing the Hardware Acceleration, uninstalling and re-installing Flash Player.  I'm not finding a solution!  Your help will be appreciated!

    Hi Joe,
This is a known issue with IE and should be fixed with our latest beta release which you can download here:
    http://labsdownload.adobe.com/pub/labs/flashruntimes/flashplayer/flashplayer11-6_install_w in_ax.exe
Please give it a try and let us know how it works for you.

  • How to save your website without..

I was wondering how to save your data to be always available, without using Muse. I mean after the trail period or month subscription ends, that you still can open or upload it without Muse. Like that you have an backup.

As RoyaltyTech pointed out - yes, you can File>ExportHTML to have the HTML, CSS and image files all brought together in one place and upload them without an subscription or after the trial period is over.
However, as a precauction, as you mentioned "without using Muse" and "still can open...it without Muse" I thought it would be prudent to point out that WITHOUT the orginal artwork / .muse file and the Muse software, you will not be able to open and edit your site later on without a current subscription.

  • How to save a website I created and then modify it?

I just created my website; and published it to my (soon to no longer exist but OK till 30 June 2012) MobilMe web site.  Great -looks fine!
But if I want to modify it- can I somehow save a copy of the original, in case I don't like my modifications?  How to do this in iWeb?
    Thanks for any comments--

iWeb and publishing your site are seprate, so your url cannot change, unless you choose to change your own sitename in iWeb itself and then republish to MobileMe.
If you are using your MMe url then your url is always going to be http://web.me.com/useranme/siteanme.  The only thing there that can change is your site name.
If you have a domain name forwarded, then this will not change at all.

webpage complete is a bunch of different files and

I am trying to save my site
    rangeoflight.net
    Thank You.

If you choose "Web Page, complete", it means only the page as retrieved from the server (plus images, style sheets, and scripts used in the page itself). It does not include changes that occurred to the page after loading or any linked pages.
What you want depends on your purpose in saving your site.
If you want an ''exact copy'' of what is on the server, for example, as a backup, you should use an FTP program or similar software that gives you direct access to the files. Depending on your host, they might also have a backup feature in the control panel.
If you want a portable replica to use offline or copy to a CD, you should look into a category of software known as an "offline browser." I can't recall which ones I've used, but a Google search turns up some products you can evaluate.
If you want a copy of the site to use in Firefox, you could check out the add-ons Scrapbook and Scrapbook Plus (I'm not sure of the difference between them). There were some add-ons for these add-ons to generate other formats such as Windows HTML help file (CHM), but they haven't been updated for a few months.
If you want a print capture of the site, you could convert it to PDF. I'm not aware of a "one-shot" way to do that, but there might be an add-on or service.
(I just played with an add-on that will capture all open tabs to a single PDF. The fonts can be a bit funky, but you could give it a try: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/print-pages-to-pdf/ Print pages to Pdf :: Add-ons for Firefox].)
Please let us know whether any of these approaches solves your problem.

  • How to save a list template and make use of it in another website as webpart ?

How to save a list template and make use of it in another website as webpart ?
    1. Save As "List A" as .STP
    2. Go to another website, in the document workspace I try to Add webpart -> Browse -> Upload the STP file, but after that the List A webpart still doesn't appear.
Any clue which part went wrong?

    Hi,
firstly you need to upload the .STP file to a list solution gallery of the site and then you can add the list (under custom name) to the webpage
    see here for how to-

How can I save a website created on iweb, but that I no longer have it saved in my computer, so I can open it in my new computer  with iweb
and republish it on another server, since mobile me would be gone on jun 2012.

You need the Domain.sites2 file that's located in your Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder in order to be able to manage and publish the site from another computer?
Do you have that file? If you do copy it to the same folder on the other computer and you're ready to go.
If not then you'll have to recreate the site from scratch.  Chapter 2.3 on the iWeb FAQ.org site has tips on using some of the existing files, image, audio, video, etc., from the published site in the recreation of the site. 1

  • How does one save a website as a functional - links enabled including images PDF

    Hello Friends,
    Can someone please tell me:
Using FF version 3.6.13 - is there a way to save a website in a 'functional' PDF format. Functional meaning the links will work and the images will be illustrated.
Many thanks in advance for any / all info you can share.
    David

No, you would need an addon that provides PDF functionality in or through Firefox.
See this [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?q=PDF&cat=all&lver=any&pid=1&sort=&pp=20&lup=&advanced= AMO search] for that type of addon.
Any particular reason for it being PDF format, specifically? <br />
MHTML is more of a "web browser" format for saving web pages to a single file. Most web browsers have the capability of reading that file format, and some will even save to that format. For Firefox there are two addons that will add MHTML capabilites.
    UnMHT extension:

Hi, I am going to an exhibition where there is no internet access but would like to show people around my website. I have added "scrapbook" but cannot work out how to 'save' an entire site for viewing off-line. I thought there was a way to specify 1/2/3 clicks from home page etc. Please help. DAVID

OK, solved my own problem, but am posting here in case someone else has the same problem. It totally does not make sense, especially considering that it stopped after I reinstalled Lion, but the good thing is I have my files back.
I scoured the web and found a lot of other people are having the same problem. Most of them didn't have a clue how to fix it. This discussion was the most helpful to me: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2569766?start=30&tstart=90
So, I went to the WD page and followed the instructions. The first suggestion was to plug it directly into a wall, because it may not be getting enough power from a power cord. I did this and it fixed the problem. Who would have guessed?
Anyway, if anyone else is having this problem, go to your manufacturer's website for help. Here's WD's help: http://wdc.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1164/related/1/session/L2F2LzEvd GltZS8xMzI2MzIzMjUwL3NpZC82dmo0blZOaw%3D%3D
