How to save emails if I delete account?

Hi
Tearing hair out as I can't send emails (receiving no probs). Tried everything suggested here but no joy. Last option is to delete my client email and try resetting this account again.
However I understand that deleting account means all emails will be deleted. I haven't saved 'sent messages' on my host server so wondered is there a way to save them before I delete account?
Thanks

create a local mailbox in "on my mac" section and copy what you need there before deleting the account.

Hi Brooks, The right way to do it is to import the photos from within iPhoto. iPhoto doesn't like it when you drop stuff in from within Finder. Ditto iTunes.
    Open iPhoto>File>Import to library...
Navigate to the albums in the deleted user folder, click 'Import'.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to change email address on iCloud account?

Not sure how it happened while registering my wife's new iPhone, but the email address that appeared on iCloud was her iTunes address and not her .me address. We would like to change the iCloud addres to her .me address. How?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Firstly, you need to change your details with Apple,  Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)

  • How to recover email that I deleted this morning

How do I find an email that I deleted this morning?

Depends on your mail provider (Gmail, Yahoo, etc) and what kind of account you have (POP/IMAP). Have you tried logging into webmail and searching for it there? For example, Gmail keeps all "deleted" mail in the archive folder by default.

  • How can i Email Apple ID Scurity Accounts?

To make the long story short,...
I have 2 apple ID's in my iPad
    Address1 - a***************@yahoo.com - for gaming ( sync with my Game Center)
    Address2 - b***************@gmail.com -     for AppStore purchases
My brother sent an itunes gift card (20$ Australian Dollars)  to my Address1, i then redeemed it not knowing that my Address2 was signed-in within my AppStore,
BUT I HAVENT USED THE CREDIT!
i once emailed apple and told me to contact 'apple security accounts', they'd given me the link
i visited the link but it turns out that they are recommending mo to Ask for a Call or Call them directly (theres no email option in the webpage), but i wanted to just Email them because..
I AM NOWHERE IN AUSTRALIA im in Timor-Leste and theres no Apple Offices here, cause if I Call them(Apple) it would incur international charges.
Now, How can i email them DIRECTLY? I need to transfer the Gift card to my Address1 ASAP
    My other concern is that
This Address2's AppStore was registred in US only, i tried to change the Region from US to Australia to no avail because of some billing infos etc....
If i then receive this Gift Card would my Address2's AppStore be directly converted to Australian AppStore?
Any Help is appreciated! Thank You

Did you select Australia? Your page appears as the US. You can should be able to start a chat from your location. You can also select the Contact Us link at the bottom right of every page here. There is not really a direct email link for support, there never has been. The link I gave you offered you the option to click on support for your current location. You can use this link to get help from iTunes support. You send an email and they will respond within 24-48 hours. http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/

  • Recovering emails from a deleted account

I spent the better part of the afternoon trying to sort out a mail sending issue with my work Macbook (10.5.8).
I basically receive email from 2 accounts ( personal email account and work wmail account). Because I'm behind a proxy server at work I had to play around with the settings so that I could send emails via the work account but receive replies to my personal account. I spent a bit of time playing with the settings and trying different things.
Eventually I got everything working fine, BUT in the process I decided to delete my personal account and re-configure it. Again, all went well, except for the fact that the 2K emails (collected over the past year or so) sitting in my in-box were removed as well. When I added my personal email account back in I only got emails that were currently sitting on the (pop) mail server. The previous years worth of emails dissapeared.
Where do emails go when you remove an email account from osx mail? Surely they don't delete without trace?
So my question is...is it possible to recover those emails from a delted account?

Really? So the emails are removed totally? Not moved to a hidden folder or anything like that? No warning that emails will be gone for good? I would have thought that they might be buried somewhere in osx making it difficult but not impossible to retrieve.

  • How to copy email messages between 2 accounts on IMAP server side

    Hello,
I have a need that I'm not yet able to solve on my Mac Mini Server (OSX10.9.4 build 13E28 - Server 3.1.2 build 13S4517).
I have configured and started my Server with the IMAP Server that manage my emails domain; at the moment I have 8 accounts able to retrieve emails from the external ISP, send emails outside through the same ISP and manage locally the emails exchange. All it's working as good as well.
Now, caused by operative needs of the company, all the emails of a specific account should be copied/forwarded/duplicated (one of this solution would be indifferently accepted) to a different account. The second account isn't configured on the ISP site but only my Server and should be used as a something similar to a live-backup of the first account. This is necessary because the first account "can be / has to be" managed by a lot of people (we know that this behavior could be dangerous for the integrity of the mail repository but we can't do in a different way...) and so we need to create a second account that will be managed by the administrator only to handle in real-time possible recoveries...
Have someone ideas/suggestion about a standard way (i.e. I mean something already foreseen inside Maverick/Server app) that we can follow to configure the environment that I've described?
Thanks a lot for your help and support

Irina, I don't think the mail api is not really designed for that. To do things at the database level, you might want to look at streams to pump all changes over to an archive database.
However one thing to bear in mind is that if you are capturing changes in the user's mail folder then you do not have an authoritative record of all mail (just an archive of what actually made it into their folders (e.g. if they choose not to keep a sent copy, then you will not have it in your archive).
For this reason, true compliance archiving usually aims to intercept the smtp delivery process (either as an intermediate gateway or plugin to a gateway .. google for such products).
you would normally do this at your corporate smtp gateway. unfortunately, I don't believe you can internally intercept/hook the OCS smtp process with 100% reliability (e.g. via a trigger), so I'd suggest you look at external smtp solutions if you really need compliance archiving.

  • How can I retrieve emails from a deleted account?

Hi, I've done a stupid thing. I was setting up a new account and only wanted to disable my old account but deleted the account details instead of disabling, not realising that this would actually delete the emails as well and I had most of my emails sitting in the inbox and sent folders. Does anyone know how I get these back? I don't have any backups.
    Thanks,
    Mark

If the account was an IMAP account, and e-mails that were on the server should still be there. However, I get the impression that isn't the case. For a POP account that has deleted the messages from the server, unfortunately, no, there isn't an easy way to get them back. You could try a file recovery utility, but I'd put my money against getting much useful data back that way. If you want to try, I believe that TechTool includes a file recovery tool.
Since you don't have any backups, take this as your cue that you need to start keeping them regularly. Start today!

  • How to recover emails from Mail after account is deleted accidentally. All my emails are now gone and i am standing no where. Can any body help me out by recovering my emails.

After having problem in getting emails from pop server, i thought of removing account and adding it again. Problem was solved but all my previous emails are gone.
Really needed all my emails back. Tried but could went through. Also purchased once software "EaseUS", no further progress was achieved. It only recovered deleted emails which was of no significance for me.
Can any one help me out. I have no "Time Machine" active on my mac book pro.

    Hi Roger
    Thank you for your reply.
    My original feed is: http://casa-egypt.com/feed/
However, because I modified the feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/imananddinasbroadcast and nothing changed, I redirected it to another feed and then I deleted this feed.
Is there any way to change the feed in itunes? The only feed I have now is  http://feeds.feedburner.com/CasaEgyptStation
I tried to restore the feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/imananddinasbroadcast but feedburner refused.
I know that I missed things up but I still have hope in working things out.
    Thanks is advance.

  • How to save email box

My macBook needd some maintenance work and I would like to save all my emails and mail boxes on external hard drive...
Can you please advise how to do that?
    Man y thanks

I think you would do this from your email account. Not from the ipad.  So if you use gmail, just make lables, and they will show up on your ipads mail app.

  • Unable to save home folder while deleting account

    Hi there:
I am trying to delete a user account from a 10.6.8 MBP. I want to save the user's home folder to a DMG, like I always do. There is 201.42GB free on the HD. I get an error when trying to delete the account, however, that:
"The home folder cannot be saved. To save the folder, you need 57.6GB of free disk space." (Well, it's not really an error. The "save folder" option is greyed out, with that explanation).
LIke I mentioned, there is over 200GB free on the drive. I tried repairing permissions and rebooting. Verified disk. No help.
    Can anyone advise?
    Thanks!

Grrr...Never mind. Once I took ownership of the user's folder, OSX started reporting the correct size. There is not, in fact, enough room on the HD, so I'll figure something else out.
    Thanks.

  • How to recover emails after i deleted the roaming folder

    Hello
i deleted my roaming folder by mistake and i can't access my emails.
i used a software called crash plan to recover some data and it recovered a folder that has like 5 gb of data and 2 profiles ...but even if i select this folder in server settings i can't see mu old email.
now i only see some old stuff in the sent folder.
Can i somehow recover my emails back?
    Thank you

If you deleted the 'Roaming' folder then you completely deleted all Profiles, all preferences, all mail, all contacts etc etc etc. It's almost as bad as reinstalling an OS from a Thunderbird point of view and for any other non-Windows installed apps.
    You could try this info:
    * http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Recover-lost-or-deleted-files
Otherwise, You would need to use a backup - assuming you did create a backup of your Profile folder.
If you had an IMAP mail account then all of those emails are stored on the server, so creating a new Profile and IMAP mail account would get all emails on server.
Pop mail accounts would only redownload everything still in the server Inbox.

  • How to empty iCloud mailbox without deleting account

I have a Wi-Fi camera that emails me video clips every day. Those emails go into my iCloud mailbox. I've never deleted them and now my iCloud is full and I wanted to make room by deleting all the mail in the iCloud mailbox without deleting the account.  is there any easy way to do this?
    Thank you so much
    George

Open your mail on icloud.com, click each folder on the left (such as your inbox), click on a single message to the right, press Control-A on your keyboard to select them all, then press your Delete key.  Repeat this for each of your mail folders except Trash.  When finished, click on the actions (gear-shaped) icon on the bottom left and select Empty Trash.
Note: this is permanent, and will delete the email from your devices/computers too, so be sure there isn't anything you want to keep.
