How to save files from email

I am having issues saving a garageband file that my friend emailed to me from his ipad. I want to save it to my ipad so that I can add guitar to the vocals. When I go to my email I can play the file and it will let me email the file or massage it but I am not getting an option to save it. What am I missing?!

I know it's not a perfect fix, but I would open a Gmail account just for this purpose and forward anything with an attachment to that account.
Then, you can just switch email accounts to view the attachments of any of the files you need.

You can get to this folder by (in the Finder) by using the menu item "Go > Downloads":

How to save photo from email to photo library

I am trying to save a picture from my email into my photo library so i can change my profile pic. It saved the pic to the HP photo folder and it has to be in the regular photo library to use it for the profile pic.

Computer died - how to save files from the iphone?

My computer died and my iPhone holds all my music and photos. I know how to restore purchasemusic and save Camera Roll photos, but I also have old music that I burned from CDs and photos that are synced with My Photos. Does anyone know have any ideas?

I assume that you have Pages and the DropBox app on the iPad ... so do this and it will work.
From Pages - email the file to yourself. Tap the Wrench icon and select Share and Print - and then select Email Document. Select the file type from the pop up window - then email the document.
Go to the mail app - open the email - tap and hold down on the document icon - select Open in - Open in DropBox.

Never mind. I figured out the 2.0 update. My system wasn't updating I-tunes...and the I-phone update option window was hidden behind some other system information. I figured it out. The download, install and re-synch took about an hour. Lots of horror stories out there about people trying to activate their new I-phones. Glad this worked for me!

Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.

Or send the file from your computer to your ipod by emailing yourself the pdf. Then if you open the Mail client and you open the pdf there is an option to select open in ibooks. It will save it to your device for remote viewing.
