How to save individual tabs in oracle dynamic shell

Hi,,
When I press the save button in a tab on my adf application the other opened records in the other opened tabs are affected and validated by this button!!!
I want to save the content of the current tab only

Hi,
If the save button is a specific to that tab then you can set the immediate=true property of button and if it is global save button then it would have alternate approach to avoid the validations of other tabs.

How to save groups-tabs for next time use?

I make some groups-tab by function of sites , like Email-group, News –group. If close FF beta 9, and option of startup is “show a blank page ” or “show my home page”, these groups were not be saved. If startup is “show my windows and tabs from last time”, all tabs of all groups will be opened, but they are own group.
There is some options, when I startup FF, only show groups, so I can choose which page in particular group I want open?

How to save multiple tabs at once?

Before updating I had the option to save multiple tabs in one simple click. For instance If I had opened 5 tabs and I wanted to save them all at once in one group there was the option for it, now that option seems to have dissapeared? Can I get it back somehow? It was so easy... If not, can i install the earlier version of Firefox? I don't like it when good things dissapear...

1. Swing has implementable L&F (skins) for all components. You could create one for you JTabbedPane as a subclass from some existing UI L&F
2. you can always do this in your paint method. Might be tough though

Steps to take formula column value into database field, follow following steps:
1. Draw a text field named "Formula_Cell"and set its properties which you want for formula. Now, goto its "Database" property set to "No".
Now, goto its "Canvas" Property set to "Null".
2. Now, in Pre-Insert or Pre-Update trigger use following code:
Suppose database field name is AMOUNT then:
:AMOUNT := :FORMULA_CELL;
If you want to mension block names with this then you may do.
Remeber, Formula Column's property of Database must be set to No.
Now, try to save I hope you will got a good solution...

How to Save a File in Oracle Forms 6 ?

Dear All,
I am using Oracle Forms 6. I need to save a file in .lst format.
I am using,
flnm:=get_file_name('E:\',file_filter=>'Text Files(*.lst|*.lst|');
I f I use this, It prompts me to save the file. I want to save it automatically without asking me to enter the file name. We can get file name too from the above syntax
flnm:=get_file_name('E:\','Test',file_filter=>'Text Files(*.lst|*.lst|');
But i dont want the system to prompt me to save manually. It must be saved in the proper location as mentioned.

How to save Session Data using Oracle?

Hi
I am creating a web application that will be running on an infrastructure which will utilise a number of web servers, web gardens and a load balancer.
As the application is using Sessions, and that our application is using Oracle as the database, we would like to use the database to save the Session data. However, I am struggling to find any good examples on how to do this with Oracle.
I note that Oracle provides the following class: Oracle.Web.SessionState.OracleSessionStateStore, but I am unsure what I need to do in the Code Behind and what if any tables do I need to create in the database.
Can anyone help me, please?

You can store Oracle session state in the Oracle DB or in the mid-tier with Oracle Coherence.

Some time ago I got some help here about how to read a incoming XML-file and insert data into a table, where the Element-tag describes the tablename and the Attributes describes the column-names. See post : [ https://forums.oracle.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=10284116#10284116]
During testing we discovered that on some incoming messages there where Date-fields, the date/time-values has the format '2012-04-19T14:00:05+02:00' which causing us problems when saving the value to our oracle table.
This is (simplifyed) how the message look like:

I've tried different types on the PICKINGTIME-column like "DATE", "TIMESTAMP" and "TIMESTAMP(6) WITH LOCAL TIME ZONE" but I still get oracle errors like
"ORA-01858: a non-numeric character was found where a numeric was expected"
"ORA-01861: literal does not match format string"
when I run the statement.
If I declare the PICKINGTIME-column as "DATE" it works without errors but it doesn't add the two extra hours(+02:00) to the time which is very importent since the Picking time must be accurate.
This is the how the "final" Insert-statement look like which I need to modify somehow to make it accept the timeformat from the message:

SELECT PICKER, PICKINGTIME, PRODUCTDATE

I would like to create a report (pdf) and save it with a specific name :
Example : « Report_Name_YEAR_MONTH.pdf »
« Report_Name_object.pdf » where object came from the report WEBI.
BO Xi propose the %SI_STARTTIME% variable on "date + time" format.
1 - Can I use an other variable in order to have a date with this format : Year + Month ?
2- Can I use an object create on the report WEBI ?

I tried to save the variant of DEMO_PROGRAM_GET with dynamic selection field (Connection Number) filled. It gets saved without any problem. Just click 'SAVE' and enter the variant name and description.

when i close FF and clean cookies and browsing history ..and then re open FF ..my panorama groups are lost ..also how do i make a certain group open as the default group when i reopen FF?

For some reason my groups are saving now. Perhaps bcs i no longer have ..clear all history checked under the ..FF Options>Privacy. But i do clean ..Everything except ..Form Search History under the ..Tools>Clear Recent History FF Menu. I dont know why this is working but it is for now.
The MAJOR Change I made was, as i also use Tab Mix Plus, was to turn off TMP Sessions and switched back to FF Sessions handler. Also instead of opening the last session ..i open the Home Page option where i have a couple tabs/pages set as home.
I hope this helps some of you and continues to work for me :-))

How to save Special Characters in oracle?

Is there any way to enter special characters such as ºC ? i am using J2EE and Oracle 9 i.
When i try to enter 2ºC after updating the datbase it is converted to 2ÂºC when it is displayed in HTML. All special characters are prefixed with Â. Pls suggest any way to use special characters with oracle ..

This has nothing do to with NLS_LANGUAGE. In general, character set processing depends on NLS_LANG setting (which is an OS setting and not a instance initialization parameter) and database character set. To understand NLS_LANG see OTN NLS_LANG FAQ http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/globalization/htdocs/nls_lang%20faq.htm.
However, I think that JDBC is an exception and does not use the character set defined by NLS_LANG. See last answer in following discussion:

How to retreive individual tabs rather than tabs group

I use FF 15.0.1 under WXPP.
I inadvertently created "tabs group"...
Now, every new tab has an icon "show/hide the new tab page".
In "about:config", the only browser.panorama.* entry is browser.panorama.animate_zoom (default-boolean-true).
What can I do...?

I tried to restart in Safe Mode, but id did not change anything (and I always used the default theme.)
Actually, after having been caught with Tab Groups, I came back to the usual tabs, including the arrows left and right to circulate through them and the small menu on the right "List all tabs" that I like to use by deleting the "sessionstore.js" file in my profile...
The only remaining annoyance now is that little 3x3 squares icon "show/hide the new tab page" which comes on the right of every new tab page: clicking "show" brings in the page a number of miniature pages which I had formerly visited but do not need anymore.
Clicking on any of these brings it in the same tab page, but closing that tab and calling for a new tab brings the same group of page miniatures again.
I'd like to get rid of this... Any solution?

The Tab App and Group Tab are nice ideas but tend dissappear physicalky.
I do not understand when then dissappear and when not.

Does restoring tabs work or is that failing as well?

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox Profile Folder that store session data.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).
