How to save iTunes to iCloud?

i have 50GB space on my cloud i am only using 15GB I want to put some Music and Photos to the Cloud.  How do I transfer files?

iCloud storage is used to store backups of your device(s). Photos should be imported to a photo library on a computer. Music should be stored in your iTunes library. Here is more information about what iCloud is and what iCloud does:

  • Re Iphoto stream - how to save space on icloud by deleting on iphone but not on mac iphoto?? thanks

Hi - be great if anyone can help....
It's unclear to me as to how to save photostream photos from iphone to macbook if I want to delete the same photos from my phone to save space on icloud.
Thanks in anticipation of any advice

    Hi
It's a very good idea to use an external hard disk to take load off the Main Start-Up (Mac OS) hard disk.
BUT there are some VERY Important things to know.
    A. NEVER move via DeskTop/Finder or alter any folders named
    • iMovie Events - or -
    • iMovie Projects
As this will result in disaster (hard to impossibly to mend)
All moving's of Events and Projects must be done Within the iMovie Application to be done in a Safe Way
    B. The External/Second Hard Disk
    • MUST BE - Mac OS Extended (hfs) formatted for VIDEO - UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange works for most things BUT NOT FOR VIDEO - whatever program is used iMovie or FinalCut or iDVD doesn't matter - VERY IMPORTANT ! ! !
    • Should be a FireWire one as USB/USB2 performs badly to me especially when filling up. (Thunderbolt might be even better - have non to test)
    BUT when reg. iPhoto Library.
    • Yes it can be moved
    • Yes iPhoto can be directed to find it
    • BUT - iMovie can not find those out-localized iPhoto libraries (AS FAR AS I Learned up to now 12-April-03 - anyone with more insight may kindly set me into a possibly way to do this)
So I've outsource my iMovie Event's (most important as they take space) and Projects (not so important as they are very small - no movies in them only text document conducting how the Events are to be viewed) - BUT iPhoto stays - will not touch it.
    Yours Bengt W

    Hello ,
I think your problem is saving the state of a listbox.
    The thread at
    [1] can be helpful.
You can save the needed objects in the app's roamingSettings.
More information about managing app state can be found at

  • How to save iTunes library from failing internal drive?

How does one go about doing this? My internal drive is making noise (and I suspect about to fail), so I'm trying to save my itunes library...I have already switched default drive to my external, but as I understand it some info is still saved on my internal drive? So now what? I am more concerned about saving the music files themselves than the playlists, etc. I know just enough to be dangerous! Please help!

  • Need to reload my computer, how to save itunes to reinstall

    Hello,
I just got my ipod and I am a little lost when it comes to itunes. I just found out I have an issue with something on my computer to I have to reload all the original settings, thus losing my itunes information. I was wondering how I could save everything in my itunes in an external drive (or in this case a flash drive) and then once I am done reloading my computer placing everything back on my computer. My dvd burner does not work, so I cannot save the itunes onto a cd, so I have to save it to my flash drive, or ipod.
Please help, I need to figure this out asap, so I can get everything finished over the weekend.
Thank you for your help, I GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!!!!

External hard drive is easiest way. That is what I use for backups myself.

  • How to save itunes genres on seperate external drives?

how do i save my itunes genres each on a seperate external drives? or maybe it isnt possible and i will have to use 1 huge drive?

The iTunes folder that keeps re-appearing is due to the fact that iTunes requires an "iTunes" folder to exist in its default location, which is still your ~/Music folder. That newly-spawned folder, however, is (or at least should be) empty.
What you need to do is tell iTunes that your new default is now the Time Capsule. To do this, launch iTunes while holding down the "Option" key on your keyboard, select "Choose Library..." on the prompt, and browse for the library that you copied to the Time Capsule. Hope this helps!

  • New iMac on the way, how to save itunes LIB from XP HD w/o resync iPod

I have 2 iPods, my PC had massive brain ****, saved the hard drive, stuffed it in an external enclosure, waiting... for an iMac to land on my door step... using another pc to try and keep iPod's charged, and Itunes wants to erase and re-sync the device. Can I save my licenses as well as the audio cd's I have ripped (and own), and iTunes library from my old hard drive? It seems even the loner XP machine on the external drive won't let me access the admin's doc's and settings...

If you have an ipod, connecting it to the PC should load the ratings back

  • Hard disk crashed! How to save iTunes Library

OK so i am in a bit of a fix here.
My MBP Hard drive crashed and it has the iTunes library with all apps and music. Luckily I had OS X installed on external drive so am able to boot from external drive and access the crashed hard drive. I can read the crashed one but cant write to it.
Now how can I export my iTunes library so that I can import it on another machine? I cant export my library to CD as I cant boot the crashed drive.
    Any alternatives?

    or,
    Do the following:
    1. Quit iTunes
    2. Drag the iTunes folder from your internal hd - located in ~/Music folder - to your external hd. DO NOT delete the original one from your internal hd... yet!
    3. When the transfer is complete, press and hold the Option(alt) key and fire up iTunes.
    4. A "Choose iTunes Library" window will come up. Click on the "Choose Library" button.
    5. Navigate to where the iTunes folder is located in the external hd.
    6. Within the iTunes folder, select the iTunes Library file and click Choose...
That's it. iTunes will now display all your playlists, songs, movies, podcasts etc. At this point, should you wish, you can delete the iTunes folder from the internal hd to free up space.
adjust these instructions to fit your situation.

  • Reinstalling OS - how to save iTunes info

Due to a bug I have to reinstall my OS, which of course means I will lose all info. Copying to an external HD is no problem, but I spend quite a lot time in making playlist and getting all names of songs and artits correct, so I don't want to do this all over again.
If I do Archive > Library > make reservecopie on disc will ALL (songs, playlists,...) the info be copied and saved? And to I need the .xml file that is created when I export my library?

  • How can i save itunes game apps to an external hard drive?

Im trying to do a clean install of osx mountain lion since i noticed computer is starting to get slow but was wondering if theres a way to do that since im a complete noob and also on how to save itunes game apps data to an external drive since i dont want to loose them can someone please guide me on how to do this?

Do a Time Machine backup to an external drive. It backs up everything.
Instead of restoring from time machine backup, go into time machine and drag out the things you want to restore.
    Good luck

  • How can I save iTunes videos in my icloud?

Hi how can i Save iTunes videos in my icloud?

You can't save your iTunes films and/or TV programmes in the cloud, whether they will show in the cloud for redownloading in the Purchased tab in the iTunes app depends upon what country that you are in (they can't be redownloaded in all countries) and whether they remain in your country's store (rights-holders occasionally remove their items).
You can copy your iTunes downloads to your computer's iTunes library via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases so that you can take a backup copy of them, and not have to rely on being able to redownload them from the store.
