How to save selection screen in LISTCUBE?

I execute LISTCUBE, enter my CUBE name, get message "The Infoprovider contains too many characteristics. Make a preselection.". I choose 20 characteristics to display then the data target browser selection screen display. Is there a way to save this selection screen so I don't have to repeat selecting these same characteristics every time? I tried to save this as a variant but got message "It is not possible to save variants."
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,
This transaction cannot get screen variants. This is because each time the listcube for an infoprovider is executed, it creates a new report (from se38).
What you may try to do is to get the name of the report (its a very long name, you can see it in the lower right part of the sapgui, where you see the system id) after selecting the infoprovider in listcube, and into se38 transaction, copy that report to a new z report. then, you may modify this report to be executable in attributes.

This you do in the menu where you can find text-elements, selection texts.
menu Goto->text elements->selection texts.

WAD template with BSP Application - how to read selection screen values

I've created Web template with Web Application Designer (WAD).
I would like to extend that page with BSP Application...
Purpuse of this application is to read some information from tables
on BW transaction server and display them within Web page.
Question: How to read selection screen values from a Web template ?

Hi,
The selection screen parameters will be on an inputField, so try and get the is of the inputfield generated by doing View source...
And once you get the inputfield Id, you can read the value in the InputField(InF) by
using the following code...!
data : if_value type ref to cl_htmlb_inputfield.
data : variable type string.
if_value ?= cl_htmlb_manager=>get_data( request = request
                                            name    = 'inputField'
                                            id      = 'InF_ID_here'
       if if_value->value is not initial.
         variable = if_value->value.
       endif.

select-option are actually ranges or more general internal tables with the structure:
SIGN:    'I'nclusive or 'E'xclusive
OPTION: 'EQ', 'BT', 'NE', 'GE', 'CP', ....
LOW:     low value of type of the curresponding "FOR table-field"
HIGH:     high value of type of the curresponding "FOR table-field"
You may just code:
TABLES: mara.
SELECT-OPTIONS s_matnr FOR mara-matnr.
LOOP AT s_matnr.
WRITE: / s_matnr-sign,
           s_matnr-option,
           s_matnr-low,
           s_matnr-high.
ENDLOOP.

Please check the value of the variable sy-binpt, I believe the value of the variable sy-binpt will be set to 'X' if the program is called from a bath input, hope this helps.

How to get selection screen variant name of a report ?

Can any body please suggest, how I can get the variant name that was selected when a report program was being scheduled in background?
I am using system field SY-SLSET but it is working only at foregrounf execution.In background mode it holds different value like '&0000000000038'.

When running the program in foreground (SE38 -> F8) or in a background job (SM36), sy-slrel is correctly filled.
When running in background via SE38 transaction (run in background : F9), sy-slrel is not filled correctly (&000010 for example).

3.5 Web report. Save Selection screen and navigation state??

When we use BEx Analyzer, using excel, we have these two features:
1. If query have selection screen, we can save variants, as in SAP R/3.
2. If in the query results we perform drilldown, filters, and so on, we can save this as a new workbook.
Now, I am using Web access. I use 0ADHOC web template. I have modified to ask always for variables.
For feature 1, is there any possibility of saving the selection screen? Any property of web template?
For feature 2: I can save a view in the standard template, but there are no button to recover it. Modifying this template is too hard for me. I have seen an object to select query view, but I have to specify queries and views, and I need an open solution.
Is there any template or easy way for offering the user the possibility of saving a navigational state for any query and after recovering any of this states (as a workbook in excel).
I don't know if views are the only option.

I use FM BP_JOB_CREATE to create background job. This job is program with one parameter on selection screen - production order number.
This job is created when production order is saved.

RS_CREATE_VARIANT
You can also use
JOB_OPEN
JOB_SUBMIT
JOB_CLOSE.

Iam not sure for some reason, when I select web_template and click on Web Parameters, there nothing available below Behaviour section. However when I create a new Analysis Item and see its properties, the Behaviour section shows only Allow Navigation & Only Hierarchy options.
Should I reinstall my front end. We are in SP10.

How to skip selection screen? Please help!

Hi Experts,
       I have a report program that has a default selection screen (1000) and ALV output. First selection screen is displayed and on execution ALV is shown.
My requirement is, if the user is not authorized to run this report then selection screen should be skipped and instead display a error page. This error page is nothing but some write statements in ABAP displaying error icon and error info.
Currently I have written the authorization check in the INITIALIZATION event. Here I am setting a flag if the user is not authorized followed by "write" statements showing error info.
But when I run the report, error info is not displayed and instead selection screen loads even though the user is not authorized. I have written the selection screen code in the TOP include.
So what shall I do? How to skip the selection screen?
Are there any other better ways to handle my case?
