How to save stage as png interactively?

Hi,
Does anybody know how to save/export the stage as an image like in this example?
http://ciruelo.jp/js/edge/tde.html
Any help would be appreciated, thanks so much!

You're confusing the total number of bits (8 bits of RGB+Transparency = 32 bits, a misleading number), with the bits per channel (32 bit floating point, which makes RGB+T = 128 bits total).
32 bit PNG is a nomenclature that needs to go away - the number could mean 1 channel at 32 bits/channel, 2 channels of 16 bits each, or 4 channels of 8 bits each. (or more if PNG supported more bit depths)
In Photoshop, you're using bits per channel. You want 8 bits per channel, not 32.

  • How to save images as png or jpg?

    Hi!
I just made a picture in the new photoshop cs6 beta and I want to save it in the png or jpg file-format, but there isn`t any possibility I found to save it. In tha Save As-Dialog there are just seven possibilities to save. Without png and jpg.
    Thanks.

Ps: I`ll like to save it in the icon (*.ico) format. Is that possible?

  • How to save a file as an 8-bit .png in Illustrator?

Hello to all AI masters...I have a task here to save as a file as an 8-bit .png file in Illustrator? Can anybody, somebody help me on this?

...but how can I convert it to an 8-bit png file?
What bit depth are you converting from... and how did you create the PNG in the first place?
Conversion among raster image formats would normally be better handled in programs like Photoshop.

  • How to save a png with a straight or fat alpha?

Long story short, work in broadcast and a new piece of gear prefers png files.  I know how to save png's with a transparency, that's not the problem.  What I don't know how to do or if it's possible is to save them with a straight or fat alpha.  Right now we feather or extend the edges out past the alpha of say a logo and save it as a tif, psd or .tga.  That way once it's keyed over video or whatever, the edges look good, no black bad edging.... this makes sense, probably not explaining it very well.   But switching to png files I have no idea how to make a straight or fat alpha since it sees transparency.  I mean if I feathered out the edges, a png will see that correct, since there's no alpha??
I hope this makes sense ?

Chris, this is probably the answer I seek "PNG always saves with straight color - that's how the PNG spec defines it."
I admit my explanation was a bit weak and I understand PNG only supports transparency, which is not an alpha,  and the apps aren't treating them wrong....I just couldn't formulate an intelligent question and explain it, my bad.
After thinking about it I don't think using a PNG will work. RIght now for broadcast gear/applications if we don't fill the transparent and semi-transparent areas of an image with the colored part of the image, we usually end up getting a dirty key/matte or a lot of fringing.  So when using a .tif or .tga that reads an actuall alpha, we can fix the issue by doing what I described.  In fact we use a quick little plugin from flaming Pear called "Solidifty" to speed up the process http://www.flamingpear.com/download.html .  With that said, I know we can't do the same steps with a png because it only sees transparency, but I guess I was wondering if there was a work-around or a trick to fix that issue.  I could be wong, but doesn't a png save with white ?
But again, as I thought about it, I think i'm asking for something it's not meant to do, but I thought I'd ask anyway.
Thanks Chris, does this make more sense or more confusing?  The bottom-line is I don't think it will work.

  • How to save from .ai to .png without a gap

I created a repeating pattern. I made the artboard the exact size of the art. I zoomed in and there are no gaps around the edge. I saved it for web and devices png8 and the top has a gap with transparency showing through. When I use it as a web page background, there is a white stripe showing. I've tried twice to resave it but get the same gap.
I'm trying to upload the two images using the camera icon but nothing happens after I select the image and click the "insert image" button. Again, I've tried twice without a different result. Please advise.
    Thank you.
    Please help.

  • How to save or save a drawing in a PNG or any Image file format ?

    Hi,
I am working on a signature capturing application using J2ME MIDP 2.0 for Palm Treo 750 with Windows Mobile 6.0
I am taking signatures as a drawing on a CustomItem.
Now, i want to send it to a php script running on Apache server to save this signature as a PNG, jpeg or any image file at server end.
or how can i save this drawing on my local file system as a png or any other type of image file.
Plz help if anybody knows the right way....
    Thanks.

    Hi Hithayath,
    Thnx for the reply.
Actually, i hv no problem in storing a data locally or sending it on a web server. The problem in related with the formats.
I mean, how can we create a png or jpg file using the raw bytes of an image drawn on a canvas or CustomItem.. ?
We can get the integer array of RGB points using getRGB() method of image object. Now, if i will write this data after converting to binary in a file then that file
will show a message like "Preview not available". It means the format is not recognized.
So, my question is how can we convert this raw data in a png or jpg format so it can be displayed on a web page or stored in a png or jpg file..?
I think now u can better understand the problem.
    Waiting for the reply....
    Thanks. :)

  • How to save png from psd that preserves transparency of 85% FILL opacity & 100% Layer opacity?

I am using PS CS3. My design has a shiny colored glass type effect with 100% layer opacity, but an 85% fill opacity so that you can see through it. I have tried everything to save as a png file that preserves the transparency but nothing works. Thanks for any help!

Thank you both for your help and questions.
I am using several effects including bevel and emboss, inner shadow, inner glow, satin, etc. If I lower the layer opacity then everything is affected and I want my highlights, etc. to stay crisp and still be able to see through the object as if it were colored glass.
I did finally figure out how to get it to do what I wanted. I lowered my fill opacity to 0% and added a color overlay at 65% opacity. This got me the exact look and transparency that I wanted when I saved as a png.
    Thanks again.

  • How do I save as a png when it doesn't give the option

I'm working with CC — I selected the image from a white background, applied a mask, and now show the background as transparent. But it won't let me save as a png. What's up with this?

If Chris hasn't hit the nail on the head (which I suspect he has), please do a screen grab of your entire Photoshop workspace, save it as a JPEG, and post it here.

PLEASE HELP ME I CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO SAVE SONG FROM MY ITUNES LIBRARY THAT U SENT TO MY EMAIL
Post relates to: Pixi Plus p8wu0 (AT&T)

    Open email attachments
You can receive any kind of file sent to you in email, but you can open an
attachment only if your phone has an application that can open the file type.
To open a single attachment: Tap the attachment name to download the
attachment. If the attachment is a supported file type (MP3, PDF, DOC,
XLS, PPT, GIF, or JPG), it opens automatically.
To open multiple attachments: Tap the list of attachment names to view
the attachments, and tap an attachment name to open the file.
    Save attachments;
When you open attachments of certain file types, you can save them to your
phone so you can view them later in one of your phone’s applications.
    1. Open the attachment (see Open email attachments).
    2. Do one of the following:
    • For pictures in JPG, GIF, BMP or PNG format, tap Copy To Photos.
    • For other file types, open the application menu and tap Save As. If
the Save As menu item is not available, you cannot save the
    attachment.
To open a saved attachment on your phone, open the application that can
display the attachment. The attachment appears in the list of available files.
Tap the file to open it.

  • Can't save transparency in PNG?

I use CS6 and I have done everything stated in the tutorials on how to save transparency and I still get a white background in the result.
I've deleted the background and it appears transparent in the program, I save for web and select transparency (PNG24) in the checkbox but the result it still the same. It is driving me up the wall.
Do I really need to get a separate program to set the transparency?
My document settings already include setting the background as transparent. Why isn't it transparent?
I save it like this and the result is a white background. I cannot use this sprite.

    Hi All,
I have logged this issue with reproducible steps.
    The Bug number is 211097.
