How to scale current output?

Hello everyone!
I have a pressure transducer that has 4-20mA output, I'm wondering if someone could tell me how to scale current. I know I can put resistor accross the output to produce voltage but I want to do it in current.
Here's my hardwares:
Cole Parmer - Pressure Transducer
Power Input: 24vdc
Output: 4-20mA
Range: 0-100 Psi
PCI-6024E (I also have PCI-6259)
SCB-68
Thanks!

Both test works just fine. I also test the input receiving a signal out of regular power supply.
This 6259 is realy flakey to me because we have another PC that has the same daq card and when I tried the code it works.
It's just too expensive to act up like this.
Thanks for your time Sam!

Hello,
Lets try testing the 6259 by creating an analog output 5 V and wiring it into an analog input channel.  Another good test will be to send a 0-5 V sine wave into an analog input to check its response.  All this testing in independent of the code and configurations you are already using.
Then, I would suggest testing an analog input with your code but where the signal is coming from an analog output from the 6259 rather than the sensor.  I understand your code is intended to test current. So this last test would be without the 249 ohm resistor.
Let me know if the 6259 is working with these tests.

How to check current input/output rate on router (2821, etc..) subintenterface via SNMP, like cacti monitoring system.
I cant find OID to make this with snmpwalk.
Or there is no way to check current load by this way? Only polling?
    P.S. Ethernet subinterface, of course.

    NO da,

  • How to set current year, month as default value in combo box

hi,  im newbie of xcelsius user
i realize  that hv a issue that display combo box base on year & month
    let said
    <b><u>step 1</u></b>
I create excel data like this
    <b><u>year___ </u>  </b>    |     <u><b>month_   </b></u> |     <u><b>Product</b></u> |     <u><b>revenue</b></u>
    02-04-09 |     02-04-09 |       a |     $4,154
    03-04-09 |     03-04-09 |       b |     $6,813
    04-05-09 |     04-05-09 |       a |     $9,875
    05-06-09 |     05-06-09 |       b |     $6,813
    06-04-10 |     06-04-10 |       a |     $6,813
    07-04-10 |     07-04-10 |       b |     $9,875
    08-06-10 |     08-06-10 |       a |     $9,875
    22-06-10 |     22-06-10 |       b |     $6,813
    <u><b>Step2</b></u>
Then i go format cell to format/custom date to year & month
    Eg1: Year u2013>  02-04-09  convert to u2018YYYYu2019 (2009)
    Eg2: Month u2013>  02-04-09  convert to u2018mmmmu2019 (April)
    So output like this
    <u><b>year</b></u> |     <u><b>month</b></u> |     <u><b>Product</b></u> |     <u><b>revenue </b></u>
    2009 |     April |     a |     $4,154
    2009 |     April |     b |     $6,813
    2009 |     May |     a |     $9,875
    2009 |     June |     b |     $6,813
    2010 |     April |     a |     $6,813
    2010 |     April |     b |      $9,875
    2010 |     June |     a |     $9,875
    2010 |     June |     b |     $6,813
But the problem is when i insert to combo box,use u201Cfilter Row u201D, i excpectation will display only 2009,2010
But Actual display the Year  in combo box is duplicated :'(
so any solution ? and then only how to set current year & month as default value  :'(
    thanks,
    regards
    s1

  • How to redirect CELLCLI output to text file

    Hi,
I would like to redicrect the output of the cellcli command to a text file .
For example , how to redirect the output of this command to a text file on /tmp
CellCLI> list metrichistory where objectType = 'CELL' -
    and name = 'CL_TEMP'Thanks

cellcli has spooling capabilities similar to sqlplus:
    CellCLI> help spool
      Usage:  SPO[OL] [<filename> [ CRE[ATE] | REP[LACE] | APP[END]] | OFF ]
Purpose: SPOOL <filename>: Direct the results to the file <filename>.
SPOOL OFF: Turn off the spooling.
SPOOL: Check the current spooling status.
      Arguments:
<filename>: The filename where the results will be output.
      Options:
[APPEND]: If the filename already exists, the following output will
be appended to the file. Without this option, the existing file
                  contents will be replaced.
[CREATE]: If the filename already exists, an error is reported.
[REPLACE]: If the filename already exists, the contents will be
replaced.  This is the default, when no option is provided.
      Examples:
        spool myfile
        spool myfile append
        spool off
spoolBut if you are trying to script it, it would be easier to just run it command line:
    # cellcli -e "list metrichistory where objectType = 'CELL' and name = 'CL_TEMP'" > /tmp/CL_TEMP.txtAlso look into dcli which allows you to run cellcli commands on one or more cells from a compute node.
    Good luck.

    Hi kumar,
you said your using second one.
it's good. then use the below part.but check the syntax because it is there in other programs what i have already phased.
    INCLUDE <%_list>.
DATA %_LIST TYPE SLIST_LIST_TAB ." WITH HEADER LINE.
    DATA %_LIST_WA TYPE SLIST_LISTLINE.
DATA: BEGIN OF data_tab OCCURS 0,
    line(255),
    END OF data_tab.
    & Then use:-
    LOOP AT %_list into %_list_wa.
    data_tab-line = %_list-line.
    data_tab-line = %_list_wa-line.
    APPEND data_tab.
    Clear data_tab.
    Clear %_list_wa.
    ENDLOOP.
kindly reward me if it's ok

  • How to measure current

    Hi:
We have a DAQmx (6024E) and we want to measure the current from a
flowmeter. When I tried to use the example program of LabView, I found
that the measured current is much different from the current we got from a voltagemeter directly.
Please help me to figure out HOW TO MEASURE CURRENT with NIDAQmx and LabView. Thanks

Message Edited by kuroshio on 07-11-2005 10:55 AM

    Hello kuroshio,
Current measurements are really just a voltage measurement with V=I*R applied.  Have you tried first measuring a voltage and comparing that to the voltage from your voltmeter?  You could measure the voltage a couple of ways.  I would suggest first using the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) test panels.  Make sure your signal is connected to the correct pins and choose differential as the terminal configuration.  Once you have a correct voltage measurement, then you can use a LabVIEW example from the example finder (Help>>Find Examples) to get started with a current measurement.  In the example finder, you can navigate to Hardware Input and Output>>DAQmx>>Analog Measurements>>Current.  There are a couple examples there for current measurements.  You will have to enter the value of the resistor you are measuring the current through.  Be sure to re-post if you still have problems

  • AT-AO 10 current output question

I have an AT-AO-10 that I am using to control a few things, most of which
is using the voltage output. I am using a unipolar, external source
setting. However, I can't get my current output to work. A few
questions: Do I need to use an external voltage source, hooked up to the
EXTREF and RGROUND channels, as I have with my voltage source signals? I
know that I must supply a voltage source wired in series with the signal
that is between 7-40 Volts. But, is this my external source, or do I need
two of them. Also, the manual that came with the AT-AO-10 is pretty lousy
in regards to how to wire it. The diagram shows a 250 Ohm load
(floating). What is this? Is this something that I have to put in there,
    as well? ANd wh
at does "floating" mean? If this is something that I have
to provide, does it vary with the size of my external voltage source?
I have a 15 Volt source hooked up right now, but I am also using a 24 Volt
source for some other equipment that I can use. Is there an ideal voltage
source that I should use instead?
Sorry for the ignorance. I just can't get this to work, and have very
    little background in EE.
    Thanks,
    Harry

  • How to scale objects evenly (one inside the other)

We are doing a gun caddie right now that has the shape of a motorcycle seat when it is unfolded. We are currently stumped on how to scale these shapes properly. Basically we have one shape of the caddie and then copy that and shrink it from the center to form another shape inside the original shape. The trouble we have is that when we scale the second shape down, it doesn't scale evenly and some sides are have bigger gaps than others. How do we avoid this? we have tried everything we can think of and looked at a bunch of tutorials but they all scale squares or rectangles not weird shapes like we do. Does anyone know an answer to this? I feel like it's something simple I'm not doing. Please Help. Thanks

Start off with a single object. Offset Path with a positive number makes it “bigger”, with a negative number “smaller”.
Scaling is definitely not the way to go.

  • How to make ALV output Colorless

So the client want a plane paper color which 2 things are strukcing me up.
    1) How to make Sum row(Final Sum up row) as colorless
    2) How to make header as colorless.(Header column like emp no , emp name ,e.t.c)
    Regards
    sas
Can any body any Idea is this possible or not..
Edited by: saslove sap on Apr 13, 2011 11:26 AM

    Hi sap.,
I don't think decolor header is possible.,  but u can show totals color less by calculating manually.,
as., in field catalog  donot use do_sum = 'X'.  so it will not calculate totals and yellow color will not appear., now u calculate total and append at last row.,
ex: loop at itab into wa.
    wa_alv-f1  = wa-f1.
    wa_alv-f2 = wa-f2.
    temp_total = temp_total + wa-f2.
    append wa_alv to itab_alv.
    endloop.
    wa_alv-f1 = 'Total'.
    wa_alv-f2 = temp_total.
    append wa_alv to itab_alv.
now itab_alv contains all records along with total..
    hope this helps u.,
reply if u need some more clarifications.,
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Andy,
The sequence of operations that happen when a JSP page encounters a Custome Tag are
              1. Find the class associated with the custom tag from the tld.
              2. The set and get methods that u find are for passing  the values for the tag attributes that u may need
              to pass.
              3. The Tag Lib class performs the operation specified and flushes the output to the jsp.
For further understanding ..u can refer to these sites !!!
