How to scale on iPad3 and iPad1
I'm using Air 3.4 and 3.5 and I trying understand how to get the same app to be the same scale as the iPad 1 on the iPad 3. The tried using stage.stageScale = StageScaleMode.SHOW_ALL, it's not scaling.
Is there something else I need to do to get this working?
In my root mxml file (ViewNavigatorApplication) I put:-
creationComplete="stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE;width=stage.width;height=stage.height"
and it still didn't scale. I tried all combinations of StageScaleMode's and each time the result was identical.
I poked around in the app descriptor xml file and I noticed that I had resquestedDisplayResolution set to "high". When I removed it (effectively setting to "standard"), the application scaled correctly. And since setting scale mode didn't do anything, I've removed it to use the default.

How To Scale the Rulers and Object Dimensions
Hello. I've been using Corel Xara for a long time - like, since '98 - and recently started using Illustrator CS3.
In Xara, one can set the scale for rulers and objects. For example, I can set up the rulers for inches and then define a scale of, say, 1-in equals 300-ft. Once done, the ruler no longer displays inches; it displays the scale feet. And, when entering dimensions for objects or grid locations, I can use, for example, 650-ft and it will understand that I mean 2.1667-in.
Is there any way to do the same sort of thing in Illustrator? I saw how to change the rulers to inches, millimeters, points, etc., but I have been unable to find how to scale the ruler to X:Y.

Longer answer: To change the ruler measurments to a different predetermined system, simly control-click (Mac) or right-click (PC) on the rulers themselves. You can not set the application to auto-scale dimension like you describe. You can use math functions in dialog boxes though. So you could enter 600'*.125 for 600 ft times 1/8 -
I have 2 Ipads (Ipad2 and Ipad3) and 2 Iphones (4 and 4S) that are currently sharing 1 username for itunes. How can I split 1 ipad and 1 iphone to another username and still use my music library in itunes?
Sign out of the iTunes, store, iMessage, and iCloud on the devices, then sign in with the account you want.
This simply changes the account the device is pulling content from.
Content can not be moved from one account to another. Content is permanently tied to the account it was acquired with.

I just bought an ipad3 and I was wondering if anyone knows how to have my reminders displayed in my calendar? If it not possible on the iPad , is it possible on the iphone4s? if not, than does anyone know of any apps that make it convenient to do so?
That's only for the iPhone 5. On the 4 and 4S, they can repair the back glass in store for $30. They will not replace the display on a 4 or 4S. They must replace the entire phone. Replacing the display on them requires disassembling the entire phone, which they will not do in store.

This may be a basic question... but in InDesign, how does one determine the pixel size of a text box? Specifically, we need to write text to specifications of 600 pixel width, and have no idea a) how to scale a text box to specific pixel width, b) how to determine what word count we can fit in, and c) how to do it in a table? Set your ruler increments to pixels Preferences>Units & Increments. You can fill the text box with placeholder text Type>Fill with Placeholder text and get a word count from the Info panel with Show Options turned on from the flyout.
From the Transform panel you can set a text box's width and height -
I have a new iphone5 and about 5 meters wifi signal is reduced to one scale, and finally cut off my connection with routerom. I also have iphone 4s and ipad3 and on those two I have full signal everywhere. I installed the latest softwer iso 6.0.2 and I still have a problem!
Just get into "General" -> last option is "RESET" -> Opt for "RESET NETWORK SETTINGS"
Your phone will reeboot in a couple of minutes n then get fine on with full signal on the wifi scale.

Updated my 4s and ipad3 and now both are basically useless. Cant access itunes store, app store, weather app wont work and multiple bugs with facebook. How am I supposed to fix all these problems????

When you updated your iPhone 4S and iPad3 to iOS6, what exactly do you mean when you can't access the iTunes store? Have you checked your connection to the network?

1. After my last synching between iPad3 and iMac, most of my downloaded books have a cloud/arrow symbol and won't open. Most PDF files in iBook just disappeared. I am afraid to resync as a book I recently downloaded, which took up a big chunk of my 5GB download limit, doesn't appear on my computer and when I try to sync, I get the message that all my books will be replaced.
2. Is there any way to read the books downloaded to my iPad on my iMac? Can I download an Ap for that?
I am really disappointed in the interface between my iPad and iMac and the fact that I can't selectively delete items (music and photos) that I have synched to the iPad. It seems like Apple if going toward the Microsoft method of trying to do everything for you, rather than allowing the user to manually do things.In iBooks on the iPad every book you purchased will be on the Purchased Book collection. Those books that you have purchased in the past but for some reason are not actually on your iPad are still available in the bookstore. They will have the cloud symbol on the corner. You can tap on that book to download it again. You will not be charged for doing this.

How to scale image, and not scale corner radius
Working on a catalog with image in a .075" corner radius shape. The page are generated by a CMS system so the images are needing to be recropped and scaled. Cannot find a way to scale the image and keeping the rounded corner radius at .075".
CS5 MacThanks for your reply and desire to help. I realize that but found that you can only adjust width or height and not even scale to get this to work,and other problems with this method.
I am only interested in being able to scale both frame and image simulataneously and holding the corner shape.
For a program called InDesign, the lack of this essential basic feature is NOT DESIGN friendly. Anyone designing a catalog would be wise to avoid using anything else but square corners on images. -

How to print from Ipad3 on HP Envy 110 mobile out in the field?
I have bought an Ipad3 and a HP Envy 110, in order to be able to print PDF document mobile, having the printer in my car, so I don't want to use a WiFi network. How do I get it working? If I just put power on the printer, the IPad doesn't "see" the printer. Who knows what to do? Thanks in avance, Peter
If the ad hoc printer mode is not available for the envy, there are some reasonably cheap ways to get a wifi network in your car. A cheap router from best but will generate the wifi network. Does not matter if you have Internet or not. A ifi device will also work, and most/ all of them run on batteries. Lastly, if you have a smart phone or I phone that generates a wifi hotspot, that may be enough to support the printing function. ( I need to test my I phone later today to see if that works.)

. Create a condition by copying a a standard condition like BO03 in V/06
2. Assign this condition in the std pricing procedure with acct key as ERB and accural key as ERU - V/08
3.Create a Rebate Agreement in VBO1 (It is O = Owl and not zero). No will be generated
choose 003 - Customer rebates, enter the customer code, the validity and check for the status shld be in Open, click on the conditions enter the percentage and accrual amount. You also can have scales in this. Also you need to maintain the material for the settlement
4. Create a sales order for that customer and check the rebate agreement.
5. You can see the rebate condition in the invoice only.
6. Once you have posted the invoices, then go to rebate agrrement no. clicl on verfication and it will show the order details.
7. For settlement change the status of the rebate to B - release for the settlement.
8. Credit memo request will b generated copy the no. and go to VA02, remove the blocks if any and create an invoice (credit memo).this will show u the accrual amount.
9. In both the invoice and the credit memo check the posting - accounting document it will show u the accrual as negative.
10. Again go to rebate aggreement and check the status it will show you D - Final settlement of agreement already carried out

I need help,,upgraded to ipad2, my HP laptop had major issues and had to be restored b4 I could back up and save any content on the hard disc. So i havent backed up my iPad2 or saved my iTunes library.
How do I back up and sync my ipad2 without losing content on my iPad.???
I need really simple instructions as I've had a bad run with my laptop the last month.
I have re-installed iTunes,it currently has no content in it
all my music, photos etc had been saved to a an external Hardrive (phew)so I'm not concerned about losing them during a sync, but how do I sync my Ipad without losing the applications... The last back up saved was in June when I still had an ipad1
I tried to back it up last night but kept getting the prompts something to the effect of "iPad can only be synced to 1 iTunes library, syncing will erase all content and replace with content on this iTunes library".

This is what is in the discussion. It really doesn't get any easier than this.
1) Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Edit. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
2) Now connect your iPad to your laptop and start iTunes.
3) When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases etc.
4) After it finishes transferring all your apps to your new laptop, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
5) After it finishes backing up your iPad, right click on your iPad and select Restore etc.
6) After it finishes restoring, left click on your iPad , then click on the Apps tab on top, and check the box next to Sync Apps, then click on Apply below.
If everything on your iPad looks good after the sync, go back and click on Edit / Preferences / Devices and UN-check the box next to Prevent your iPod etc. The only other thing you may want to check is if your contacts, bookmarks, etc. are syncing correctly now. If not, go to the Info tab after connecting and make sure you indicate which features you want to sync with what sources. -
How to scale down number of pages in ps files
I am having ps files that are havings 4 to 8 pages per file. Each page may contain just 5-6 lines and therefore though the content in total is not too much but there is unnecessay paper wastage.
Is it possible to make some changes in code inside ps files throgh notepad so that the content may be restricted to lesser number of pages. I am having programing skill in vfp,need guidance that what changes i need to do in ps script and where.

Gantt chart: Don't know how to use the tooltipkeys and toolkeylabel
I have a problem. Don't know how to use the tooltipkeys and toolkeylabel. I used jquery to select the gantt bars and on mouse over i was getting the task id "tid" then passing it to adf bean with serverlistener and showing a popup that is adf component with javascript. For positioning of the popup I used a button that has width and height 0 and has position absolute and gets the coordinates of the mouse.
"div[et]" is a jquery selector that selects all the elements that have attribute et. I noticed that all the bars have that attribute as a few other attributes as well "part"...

To use tooltipkeys and tooltiplabel in gantt, you can add following code in managed bean
public String[] getTooltipKeys()
return new String[]{"columnA", "columnB", "StartDate", "EndDate"};
public String[] getTooltipLabels()
return new String[]{"A", "B", "Start Date", "End Date"};
where , the string array in the ToolTipKeys represents the columns, of the table you have in the gantt component , and the string array in TooltipLabels displays the label you want to display for the table columns.
In the jsff, you could call the bean methods as follows:
tooltipKeys="#{GanttBean.tooltipKeys}"
tooltipKeyLabels="#{GanttBean.tooltipLabels}"
