How to scroll fast

a lot of people on here seem to be unhappy with the performance of the thumb wheel. it's not sensitive enough and sometimes not responsive at all. my 120Gb ipod is only filled with 40GB of music but there's quite a few artists. when i want to scroll through all the artists it takes for every due to the crappy thumbwheel. i know that if you scroll fast letters are supposed to show up but most of the time i can't even get that far. is there another way to scroll fast?

My current project is 23 minutes, and need to cut it down below 15 minutes. I was hoping to speed up the video. The content would actually be better viewed in at a faster speed anyhow.

It sounds like you did, just as you should, Save_As and Delete everything that is unwanted. If you did the Deletion from the Timeline, there should be nothing from the old Project, that should be included. A DVD is Transcoded and burned from the Timeline. If the Assets are not there, they will not included in the DVD, even if you did not Delete anything from the Project Panel.
Tell us about the Clips now on your Timeline. Also, can you check the Timeline, by hitting the \ (Backslash key), and looking near the end of the Timeline. Do you have any "orphans" out there? Check all Video Tracks, even if you have to scroll to see them all. Does the Duration of the Timeline (viewed in the Program Monitor) match what you think that it should? If not, then you most likely have orphans, that you missed Deleteing.

There is only play/pause, ff & rewind, and volume buttons but no time clock to see where I am in the track. This is the case for podcast and music in iTunes Is there a seting that I need to change?

You don't want to use just a while loop because once you get into the loop, it'll stay in there until you break out. Nothing else will be allowed to process. You'll want to use a Thread with a while loop inside.
I don't know if thise code will work. just wrote it off the top of my head. But something like that. You'll probably have to put extra white space in at the beginning of your scrollText so it starts on the far right side.

Horizontal scrolling faster than Vertical scrolling

I have a jscrollpane, containing a jtable as its component view. When i drag the vertical scroll bar, the painting is slower than when i drag the horizontal scrollbar. I've tried using a profiler to understand, but i didn't.
Can anybody help me ?

Horizontal scrolling:

the invocatonEvent.dispatch() method call (through several methods) javax.swing.RepaintManager$PaintManager.paintDoubleBuffered(JComponent, Image, Graphics, int, int, int, int).
In horizontal scroll (fast), this method calls sun.java2d.SunGraphics2D.drawImage(Image, int, int, ImageObserver)
In vertical scroll (slow), this method calls javax.swing.JComponent.paintToOffscreen(Graphics, int, int, int, int, int, int)
So i would say that the horizontal scroll calls repaint AFTER some offscreen image buffer is calculated while, the vertical scroll fails to do that.

In the Render menu, top right of the Canvas pane, you can turn off all the render settings not in use, such as lighting, shadows, etc. Also, set the resolution and quality in that menu down lower.
When you're ready to export, you can re-set those settings to how you want it to export.

Thank you very much for your help. The thread is quite
interesting.
I can only make the video jumping forward/backward at the
step of 10 seconds by changing VideoDisplay's "playheadTime"
property. When I set the step down to 1 second,
the video is "frozing", and the playheadTime is going 1
second forward/backward, then return back to where it is, and going
1 second forward/backward, then return back to wheare it is again,
and repeats forever.
For the FLVPlayback class, it is not available in Flex
builder 3, why?

How to scroll presenters notes during presentation?

I have some slides with quite a lot of notes. How do I scroll the presenters notes during a presentation when I am using the Presenter Display? I can see the notes, but they are too long to show in the window. I can't figure out how to scroll the notes to read the rest of the notes.

I am using <b>NW 04</b> and not NW04s.

To print the whole data of your table you have to do it yourself. The showPrintablePageBehavior only print what you actually see on the page. It does not traverse the data.
The normal way to handle tis is to use a report generator (like itext, jasper report, fop ...).

While in presenter view in Keynote 3, Shift-D will scroll down the notes a line at a time (d, without shift, will scroll down a full "page"). Likewise, Shift-U will scroll up a line (and u, without shift, will scroll up a full page).
Under the Help menu in Keynote, there is a handy Keyboard Shortcuts guide that covers a wide variety of areas, including shortcuts usable during presentations.
