How to scroll presenters notes during presentation?

I have some slides with quite a lot of notes. How do I scroll the presenters notes during a presentation when I am using the Presenter Display? I can see the notes, but they are too long to show in the window. I can't figure out how to scroll the notes to read the rest of the notes.

Is it bad form to answer my own question?
I finally found the answer in the User Guide:
"To scroll presenter notes up or down, press the U or D key."

Are you using two displays? Presenter notes only appear on the Presenter Display, which is set up in the Keynote Preferences.

Can't write notes during presentation.

I realize notes are intended to be writen BEFORE a presentation. But sometimes it's VERY helpful to be able to enter notes DURING a presenation. Especially when people are asking questions. (yes... pen and paper still works, but Keynote is WAY cooler)
In my experience, Keynote does NOT allow the presenter to type notes during a presenation in the notes window portion of the presenter's screen.
And yes, Powerpoint allows you to do this.

As Brian said, you can't do that with Keynote.
If you want to take notes on screen so that people can watch you, you could hit 'H' (Hide presentation and switch to last application used).
You could prepare a background that matches your presentation (a large image, e.g.) and open Stickies.app, even several windows in different colors to jot down notes regarding different aspects. Then switch to Keynote and start your presentation. 'H' will bring you to your Stickies and command-tab will switch back to your presentation.

Movie works in Keynote setup but not during presentation

Hi,
I have a movie clip on the last slide of my presentation that will only work on click in the setup portion of Keynote (where I create builds, etc). But will not even work on click in the actual presentation mode (i would prefer that it starts automatically but will live with an on click start). It acts like it wants to start - you hear a split second of audio, then it stops...no motion.
The file extension for the movie clip shows as MPEG - anyone know how I can get this to play properly on cue in the presentation.

Wow, I had the same issue, a h.246 video that simply would work in my presentation (it's 185MB) and clicking that option within the "Keynote Preferences > Slideshow > [check] Allow Expose, Dashboard and others to use screen" worked! I unlicked it, and it broke again.
Clearly a bug.

Using presenter notes during a presentation in keynote 6.0

I just downloaded 6.0 and was having trouble figuring out how to display the presenter notes on my macbook pro during a live presentation. I looked it up on keynote help, which told me that after clicking on the play button I should click on the layout button and choose Presenters Notes. The thing is, when I click the play button, it takes me right into the slideshow & there is no layout button visible. I don't use Keynote very often; what am I not understanding?

Presenter notes will show up when you connect a second display, and will behave as described by BartlebyScrivener. Bey you have have an MS Exchange account on the iPad (through your work) and they are limiting the options you have (disabling 1, 3, 4 & Never).
Try this...
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Select the Exchange account then set it Off.
Go to Settings > General > Auto-Lock and you should see all options.
Set it to what you want.
Then turn on the Exchange account.
The Auto-Lock settings should stay.
However, if you go back and view the Auto-Lock settings, it will change back toonly 2 and 5.

Since you can't delete Apple IDs and having multiple Apple IDs can cause confusion, what you may want to do is rename your existing Apple ID to the new email (desired Apple ID). That would in effect do what you want, get rid of the old and give you the new.

Scroll in Presenter Notes in Presentation view

i've got quite a few notes in Presenter notes, but it only lets me see what fits in the Presenter Notes field, nothing more.
Is this modifiable?? I'm on a Macbook Air with quite a few notes, and it's tough to read.

I didn't know that it WOULD scroll. After you said you "found it," I looked again. Sure enough, you can. However, it doesn't scroll "normally"--by putting the cursor in the note pane and trying to scroll. You've got to punch a number to get the window to come up in the notes pane that lets you go to another slide. Then you've got to go to the vertical scroll bar to the right of the notes pane and move it. You can't just use the scroll wheel on the (mighty) mouse; using that runs you through the slides. Is THIS what you found or something else? It would be a whole lot easier if you could just go to the notes pane and scroll it like a normal window.

Over the last month and numerous sync's I've spent a lot of time writing diary entries [not backed up elsewhere - can't send e-mail at the mo] that suddenly today are no longer there!

Normally, you would need a Me.com account to make this work.
Fortunately, Apple seems to be integrating Notes into iCloud pretty soon, according to AppleInsider:

On my Firefox, the spacebar skips down a screenful at a time, like the PgDn key. When that repeats, it's certainly going to cover a lot of ground, and a lot faster than the down arrow key. But pressing the spacebar a few times can be efficient if you don't hold it down continuously.

While in presenter view in Keynote 3, Shift-D will scroll down the notes a line at a time (d, without shift, will scroll down a full "page"). Likewise, Shift-U will scroll up a line (and u, without shift, will scroll up a full page).
Under the Help menu in Keynote, there is a handy Keyboard Shortcuts guide that covers a wide variety of areas, including shortcuts usable during presentations.

Image display control scrolling does not work properly when zoomed in

I am using a ROI on an image in the image display control. When zooming into the image to fine-adjust the positioning of the ROI, the image scrolling does not work properly. As far as I understand, the image should scroll automatically when the ROI is leaving the visible area. However, the scrolling behaviour seems to depend on the origin of the Labview panel, not the origin of the image display control, which might require to move the ROI way out of the visible area before the scrolling takes place. In other words: the coordinate system of the image display control is shifted with respect to the true visible image area, depending on where you place it on the front panel. As a consequence, when clicking on a ROI which is in the visible area, but is outside of what Labview thinks is the visible area, it might immediately jump to the left border of the image, making the positioning of the ROI really difficult.
Has anyone noticed this behaviour, and what would be a reliable solution to avoid this?

Hello,
no, I am not talking about the tools palette. Just place an image control with some image in it on a new VI front panel. Then, use the rectangle from the tools and select a ROI in the image. If you zoom in (using the magnification glass), and then grab the ROI and move it around, the image scroll with the ROI. So far, so good. If you now place the image control elsewhere on the panel, or add new control above it, resize the panel, etc. , this scrolling when moving the ROI will not work correctly if the origin (0,0) of the panel is far away from the image control.
I have attached a VI for simplicity (although there is hardly any code in it).
If you make a ROI and try to move it down, you will notice that scrolling starts if you move the mouse out to about 10cms below the image (depens on your screen, of course). After that, if you click on the ROI, the scroll bars and ROI might jump up to the upper end of the image. Imagine how annoying this is if you try to finely adjust the ROI position.
I think it is a bug in the implementation of the image display control.

I have set "Show Horizontal Scroll Bar" to "Yes" and "Show Vertical Scroll Bar" to "Yes" in the WINDOW Property.
I have set "Show Horizontal Scroll Bar" to "Yes" and "Show Vertical Scroll Bar" to "Yes" in the STACKED CANVAS Property .
But still the Horizontal and Vertical Scroll Bar is not working when i run the Form.

window and canvas show scroll bar when it need.
You should show block property
and set block scroll bar
