How to secure connection wrt54g

I have a linksys broadband router and the computer person who set it up for me said it is secured with a password and ip address. But when I view available wireless networks, my linksys always shows up as "unsecured". Can anyone tell me how to fix that? thanks.

Question 2: my main problem is which certificate should i add in mmc? what are these certificates about?and guide me in choosing the appropriate certificate.
To install a certificate in the Windows certificate store of the server computer, you will need to purchase/provision a certificate from a certificate authority first. So please go to a certificate authority to choose the appropriate certificate.
For SQL Server to load a SSL certificate, the certificate must meet the following conditions:
The certificate must be in either the local computer certificate store or the current user certificate store.
The current system time must be after the Valid from property of the certificate and before the Valid to property of the certificate.
The certificate must be meant for server authentication. This requires the Enhanced Key Usage property of the certificate to specify Server Authentication (1.3.6.1.5.5.7.3.1).
The certificate must be created by using the KeySpec option of AT_KEYEXCHANGE. Usually, the certificate's key usage property (KEY_USAGE) will also include key encipherment (CERT_KEY_ENCIPHERMENT_KEY_USAGE).
The Subject property of the certificate must indicate that the common name (CN) is the same as the host name or fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the server computer. If SQL Server is running on a failover cluster, the common name must match the host
name or FQDN of the virtual server and the certificates must be provisioned on all nodes in the failover cluster.
Question 3: how should i know that the connection in sql server is secured?
If the certificate is configured to be used, and the value of the ForceEncryption option is set to Yes, all data transmitted across a network between SQL Server and the client application will be encrypted using the certificate. For more detail about this,

How do I connect WRT54GS Router to Talk Talk MT882?

I was able to set up my Talk Talk wired SmartAX MT882 modem but I now want to use my Linksys Wireless-G WRT54GS Broadband Router but it can't connect.
I entered the Talk Talk setup using the setup cd.
I then used the Linksys setup cd to connect the router.
But part way through the setup I get a message saying:
The router is not able to connect to the internet. Try turning the cable/DSL Modem Off and back On again.
Did that and nothing changes. Still the same message.
I've seen on a couple of forums that you should change the internet connection type of the SmartAX MT882 to Pure Bridge and the Linksys WRT54GS to PPPoE.
That doesn't change anything.
After having connected the Modem to the computer with the Ethernet cable vis the ethernet port I then take that out and place it into the internet port on the router and connect the other ethernet cable from one of the numbered ports(1-4) on the router to the ethernet port on the modem.
It seems that the modem has to be connected directly to the computer?
I'm completely stuck on what to do.

To get the Huawei SmartAX MT882 and the Linksys WRT54G to work together, you need to disable a DHCP server on one of the two (cause they are both routers, in this case we will disable the DHCP on the WRT54G). First leave the MT882 turned off and disconnected from the network for now. Connect to the WRT54G at http://192.168.1.1 with username and password set as "admin" unless you changed it beforehand. On the first page disable the DHCP server and change the address of the WRT54G to 192.168.1.200 (We are going to keep the IP within the same subnet as the MT882 but outside the range of the MT882's DCHP range). You will also need to switch the Advanced Dynamic routing on the WRT54G to the Router mode meaning that there is another router on the network. Also in the advanced dynamic routing mode turn on the the Dynamic Routing (RIP) to LAN+Wireless because we will plug in the MT882 into the LAN port (Not the WAN/Internet port) of the WRT54G. Disconnect from the WRT54G network. Plug in your MT882 directly into the computer via Ethernet or USB and log into the administration panel via http://192.168.1.1 if connected via Ethernet or http://192.168.1.2 if connected via USB. User name and password are both "admin". In the MT882 administration in the advanced setting turn on/enable RIP (Dynamic routing) for eth-0 (its most likely already enabled for ppp-0, ie. your provider, but now it is enabled with the Ethernet too). Now connect the MT882 Ethernet cable directly into one of the WRT54G's LAN ports and connect to the WRT54G with your computers via wireless or lan. Now once the computers are connected they will ask for an IP address and the WRT54G will forward them to the MT882's DHCP server for an address and thus you will get multiple computers through wireless connected to the MT882 and the "Internet". How to use secure connection parameter in file adapter

Hi all,
I have scenario like FIle to file using ftp protocal over secure connection(FTPS).
i have some doubts like for doing this interface wat infromation i required from my client.
iam able see the option FTPS(FTP USE SSL\TLS) for control connection & control and data conncetions.
if i check the use X.509 certificate for the client authentication
kestore (in the list i can see the some entrys for private keys )
X.509 certificate & private key(i can also see some entries for private key here )
my question am i use the this existing private key & certificates?
if yes which keys & certificates i have to use.
if no wat information i need like private key & certicates from client & how we installed those in the keystore providing by visual admin.
For appearing those entrys in value list of the above parameters key store & X.509 certificate & private key.
please let me know any basis activity involved over here other than keystore deployemnet.
please correct me if any thing wrongly mentioned.

i mean those entries in the keystore & X.509 Certificate and Private Key stanrd or client(sender or reciver) FTP specific
what deatils we require to do this scenario from client end & security team or basis team(firewall configuration like that).

The passcode lock code at the iPhone 4 was broken into by a program from Internet. ( By connecting the phone to a PC that program tells the passcode) Does someone knows how to prevent unauthorized opening of iPhone? How to secure the passcode ?

It seems someone has stolen your daughters phone there is an application called FindMyiPhone if she had location services on and the thief hasn't disabled it you can possibly track the phone down. Sadly you cannot stop the thief from gaining access to her phone and personal information. Please report your phone stolen to your local police station and call Apple aswell, they can possibly put a lock on your phone aswell as put it into a carrier block which prevents the thief from calling anyone or putting a new sim card in it.

I found the help info on how to deal with that here somewhere, and followed all of the steps. It would appear that the help info I followed was for an earlier version of Firefox (I was able to follow it on machine running version 3.5.15).
I deleted all the certificates involved, and went back to the page (immedieately, after quit/restart, ....) and I simpy get the same error page as I initially got.
There is NO mention of "...Or you can add an exception". I attempted to add an exception "manually" ... and got essentially the same certificate right away upon clicking "Get Ceritificate" ... the same error code is reported as was originally reported.
It would appear I am stuck in a never ending loop.
So, how do I get out of this one ?

PS: The affected site is actually a system internal to my company - a copier .... though I do not believe that should make any difference to the actual answer.

I should add that I can make an exception in IE, but I'd just as soon use Firefox.
Also, should add that I'm using Firefox 5.0 and all of the workarounds appear to be for earlier versions.

How do I over-ride a secure connection failure to access the IP address for my wirelss router?

I have a Linksys WRT54G wireless router. Yesterday all wireless functionality dropped out. I tried going to the router's IP address and got this message:
Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to 192.168.1.1.
You have received an invalid certificate. Please contact the server administrator or email correspondent and give them the following information:
Your certificate contains the same serial number as another certificate issued by the certificate authority. Please get a new certificate containing a unique serial number.
(Error code: sec_error_reused_issuer_and_serial)
I searched for this message in Firefox help and tried the steps listed on:

But it did not work. I could not access the IP address. I needed to do so, to reset and re-secure the wireless router. I was able to do this in IE because there is an option to ignore the warning. I would like to be able to access the router in Firefox.

Delete the certificate in servers and authorities.
Enter URL about:config
Change browser:ssl_override_behavior to 1
Accept the certificate again

WRT54G v.8; computer doesn't recognize my secure connection

Have a WRT54G v.8 wireless router for several months and has been working fine. It's connected to a desktop computer via cable modem. Both of my wireless laptops were able to access the internet w/o problems. Also both computers were able to recognize my secure connection until tonite. Bought a wireless-capable printer and tonite I ran thru the procedure according to the printer's manual to configure the wireless network via a SecureEasySetup so I can print from either of my laptops. I was successful in making the WLAN connection from the printer to the router (at least that's what my printer told me) but now when I turn on either of my laptops the computers don't recognize my secure connection name, only an unsecured Linksys connection. However when I attempt to connect to the internet I can't. I don't know what to do next. I need to get back my secure wireless connection. Can anyone help me on this? I am very new to this stuff so if you can help you will have to remember you are speaking to a complete novice. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Open routers set up page using http://192.168.1.1.
Click on “wireless” tab, change the SSID to any unique name, channel should be either 6 or 9.save the settings.
Click on “wireless security” sub tab, change the security level to any one either WEP or WPA personnel or shared. Click save settings.
Do power cycle & check on wireless computers is you able to see your new SSID.

Secure connection error pops up on every website. How do I disable it?

keep getting certificate warnings on all websites.

Some firewalls monitor secure connections and send their own certificate instead of the certificate from the web server. 
You can check that if you click through the steps and get the certificate and look at the issuer. 
In such cases you need to install the root certificate of that firewall to make Firefox recognize the issuer of the certificate or disable monitoring secure connections (port 443).

I don't use CAC certificates, but since updating to 10.9.3, I too am getting the same error, BUT only with some HTTPS sites (e.g., https://webmail.pairlite.com), not all. Meanwhile, Firefox (was 12.0, now 29.0.1) connects with no issue.
I too have verified date/time is set automatically, checked for (and fixed) disk integrity errors and permissions, and rebooted, all to no avail.
Update:
Well...heck. Tried accessing the problematic site via the Guest account, and that WORKED. So...back to the drawing board.
