How to see a sent folder on iPad?

Hi all,
I cannot seem to figure out how to get a Sent folder in my iPad mail.  I have a sent folder on my iPhone, and have looked at the settings on both and they seem to be exactly the same, but on my iPad, there is no Sent, Trash, Draft, etc.  What gives???

Where are you looking for these?
In the mail App if you tap the back arrow with the name of the account you are currently in at the top of the mail list pane, it should get you back to the configured Mail accounts list. The bottom part of that pane, should have you account mailboxes you can tap on those to get the folder structure for your mail.

  • How to see the changes made for iPad in iTunes on my iPad?

How to see the changes made for iPad in iTunes on my iPad? I've been transferring some pdf-files and changed the name on them in iTunes under the index books for my iPad device, but the changes do not show in iBooks-PDF. What to do?

Yes I tried syncing a lot of times, but the changes still wouldn't show, so I did as you said by beginning from the start by adding the PDF's once again.
Thanks for your help, it works now :-)

  • Mail & Yahoo: how can I get "Sent" folder to synch, like the "Inbox"?

Happy to be back in Mac, after 15yrs of corporate MS boredom. And TIA for your help with my little 'set-up' problem.
I'd like that my "Sent" mailbox (in Mail.app) mimic the functionality of my "Inbox" mailbox, as relates to my Yahoo!Plus email account. What do I mean? My Inbox associated with my Yahoo account, i.e. in the Mail sidebar under the higher-level Inbox mailbox, contains every email that was in my Inbox on the Yahoo server (and still is, since I chose not to "Remove a copy from the server after retrieving a message, in Mail>Prefs>Accts>Advanced pane).
But the "Sent" mailbox associated with my Yahoo account only contains the messages I send from the Mail application (clearly only when I choose to use the Yahoo account). Also, none of these messages appear in the Sent folder on the Yahoo server, i.e. when I go to the Yahoo site via a web browser, which I'll do when not carrying the Mac with me.
Otherwise, setting up Mail to work with Yahoo was a breeze. N.B. I pay the $20/yr fee for the Mail Plus account/service, so didn't get stuck with the "pay to play" issue that many others have when trying to set up their free Yahoo acct w/Mail.
I recall having this "Sent" folder functionality when I was using Outlook a couple of years ago, hence the answer to 'why would this guy have been paying $20 a year...?'. And I don't/won't go there on my Mac!
    Thanks, again, for any help.
    MBP 15" Core 2 Duo   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Necessity being the Mother of invention, I built a crude work-around and fixed half of the problem. I'd still be interested to hear if any of you have 'solved' the other half.
First half fix: On the mail.yahoo.com site, go to the Sent folders and select all of the messages there. Then, in the header, click on the "Move..." button and then select the "Inbox" as the destination. (N.B. This can not be undone; You can move messages from the Inbox to other folders, but not to your Sent folder. Go figure.) The next time you synch (or "Get Mail") from the Mac's Mail app, these "sent" messages will appear in your Inbox. Sort the Inbox by sender and move the messages sent by you to your "Sent" mailbox folder.
Now you've got a complete history of emails, both sent and received, on your Mac.
Second problem not fixed: Messages sent from the Mail app do not appear in the "Sent" folder on mail.yahoo website. So while your Inbox is synchronized between your Mac and your yahoo! account, your Sent items are not.
I was hoping that synching my Mac Mail with .Mac would allow me to see my sent messages remotely, from any internet browser. But at first blush, that dog don't hunt.
Any advice - short of a wholesale move to my @mac.com email - would be appreciated greatly. Even if the advice is "give up the ghost; can't be done; give up the yahoo email"!
    Cheers.

  • Sent folder does not appear after installation. What to do to see the sent folder?

  • How to see AppStore & get apps for iPad in English from overseas?

    The Facts (ma'am):
I just received a new iPad as a gift. It was purchased in Russia, where I am going to be located for some time.
My Apple account is in USA, where I am from and where I bank. I created it when I was there in 2009 and bought a MacBook Pro direct from Apple.
I want to get iPad apps for Skype and Facebook in English.
I configured the iPad with my U.S. Apple account credentials. I set the OS language set to English and did all other settings for USA and English (afaik).
Location services are OFF in System Preferences.
    The (Aggravating) Problem:
When I click the AppStore icon on the iPad the AppStore comes up in RUSSIAN, despite the settings. I speak a little Russian but don't read it. My Russian wife cannot see any way to switch it to English.
    The (Possibly Stupid) Questions:
With a U.S. Apple account configured and all System Prefrences except time zone set for USA/English, is it possible to access AppStore and apps in English while physically located in Russia?
    If yes... HOW???
Thanks in advance for any help.

Unfortunately, not at this time. Language is pre-set by the store nationality.

  • How to see the overflow apps in ipad ?

I have downloaded more applications than the 10 or 11 pages which displays the apps on the iPad.  How do I get to these overflow apps so I can arrange them into folders ?

Start by putting apps you can see into folders, which will then permit viewing apps you can't see.

  • How to delete 'edited' iphoto folder on ipad ?

    Folks,
Recently in the iphoto app of my ipad3, i have edited one of the photo albums by way of adding captions to the photos in one album.
After which a new album by name 'edited' was found on the album shelf. this folder is never seen in the itunes at the time of syncing. with the contents of the original album and this edited album being the same (including the photo sequence and the captions i have introduced) my questions are:
    1. Why this 'edited' folder formed in the first place?
    2. Is there a way to deleted this folder and retain only the main folder with captions.
    Response would be highly appreciated.
    Cheers!

Where? In the mail app? One of the remembered email addresses that popup? ID so, when the address pops up in the window, tap the blue arrow next to the contact email address and then tap Remove From Recents in the next window.
if that's not what you are asking about, please clarify.

  • How do I change the 'Sent' folder to display the persons name I sent to and NOT my name?

Today BT Mail told me my BT Internet account had been migrated from the old Yahoo (defunct) account to their own new BT Mail.  So I am using IMAP and therefore had to delete my account on my devices and set up again in order to continue to receive my mail.
I have duly followed their instructions and done this, and synced my calendar and contacts using their 'how to' web pages....
Now I am checking everything is ok.... and note that the 'Sent' folder now lists all the emails that I have sent under MY name.  So if I'm looking for an email I sent to a particular person, I can't really, as all the emails are listed in my name.  I have to open each one to find out who I sent the mail to.  Very time wasting.
I have yet to update my iPhone with the same instructions - dialogue box currently stating 'cannot get mail' until I update the settings.... But I can see the 'sent' folder is showing sent emails in a list displaying the recipients' name... As it should do.
Question: How can I flip the display round to list the recipients' name in the sent list?   I have looked but can't see how to do it.  Thanks.

Each account should have its own sent folder. Since mails may be sent from different accounts through different servers.
If you have moe than one account, and send mails from more than one of them then you will a sent folder for each account you sue to send emails from.
As to the names, it will show techncially the first recipient in the list or recipients iof there is mor ethan one. If that happens to be you then it will show you.
As to how to edit,  there should be an edit link to the right of the original post.
For further posts the link appears at the bottom of the relevant post. This may not be visible if you are viewing the forum on the iPad only on a computer browser.

  • "Sent" folder in Mail doesn't sync with "Sent" folder on Gmail. PLEASE HELP!!!!

I am completely stumped by this and really REALLY frustrated.
I can't figure out how to make the "sent" folder in mail (i.e the one with the paper plane icon) contain ALL my sent messages from Gmail.
It works perfectly fine on my iPhone and iPad but just not mail on my mac!!!
I am using Mail version 4.5 and Snow Leopard.
    PLEASE someone HELP!!!
    Thanks

I'm new here so you'll have to bear with me if my explanation needs work!
I suspect that your problem may be that your Mac is storing the sent stuff on the local folder (probably hapening with junk and trash too???) If this is the case then...
Make sure you have the correct IMAP path prefix - entered in Mail Preferences > Accounts > Advanced - I believe that the prefix you need is Gmail
Quit Mail so it doesn't interfere with what you're doing,
Open  ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist with the Property List Editor
Take a back up copy (I saved mine to desk top) of com.apple.mail.plist
Look for the key named MailAccounts and click the arrow to expand it
you should see all your accounts indexed as 0, 1, 2, etx
Find your IMAP accounts (check that the key AccountType is IMAPAccount)
Find the key SentMessagesMailboxName and change it to Gmail/Sent (substitute INBOX for IMAP Path Prefix if incorrect)
Find the key TrashMailboxName and change it to Gmail/Trash
I think I had to do the same with junk too
Hope that is of some use or at least makes enough sense :-)

  • If my apple Id was set up on a Mac, can you see my iMessages from my iPad on the Mac?

My apple ID was set up on a Mac.  Will my iMessages from my iPad show up on the Mac too?

Sorry - I should add - if there are two apple ids set up on one Mac, do you need to sign in using your apple Id in order to see iMessages sent to the iPad associated with the apple Id?

  • Can't find 'sent' folder on PB os 2.1

    Hi,
I can't seem to find my 'sent' folder on PB messages using BB bridge connected to my 9810 device. I can see my 'inbox' folder and 'spam' folder, but my 'outbox' folder is greyed out and I can't see my 'sent' folder. Is this possible to do? Thanks!

    Hi Raiyad Raad,
There’s nothing wrong with your phone. Firefox OS had recently changed their search services to increase search result relevancy and provide more choices to users. By searching using the search bar, you’ll see the top search results on the top line, and a list of search engines, such as Google, Yahoo, Wikipedia, YouTube, is displayed to use for advanced searches.
Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Firefox OS device.
    Thanks,
