do i need to change this value (language) to see arabic text format
like

When u enter new records into the table whether u r able is see in arabic.
You have to go to regedit and change the nls_lang to arabic setting.I think it is Americans_ameriaca.AR8MSWIN1256.
Then in the control panel change the keyboard setting and the typing setting to arabic.This will solve the problem for the new entry.

ECC6 and Non-Unicode? I think you'll need multiple code pages, I doubt there's a mixed Arabic/Latin1 available. And I don't think SAP supports new MDMP systems any more. If you need to support multiple languages you really need to go Unicode. It's probably easier to do the Unicode conversion than to try to support multiple code pages and you have to make the switch eventually.

How to see through text?

I've read some online advice about this, but perhaps my question is more complex. I want to see through text, so a flag photo shows up inside of it. But below that is another photo (suitcase). So the text with the flag photo inside is on top of a suitcase image. So, how to do? Mucho many thanks in advance!

In this case it might be easiet to convert the text to outlines (select the frame not the text itself, so you get a "compund path"), then cut the image and select the type you converted, paste into.

create the text in Arabic .
ex: goto SO10   give the text name and language is Arabic.
when u call that pass the language as Arabic.
ex:
CALL FUNCTION 'READ_TEXT'

Arabic text printing using smartfroms

Hi,
I' m printing Purchase oder in Arabic language , we installed Arabic supoort drivers
in SAP system, when I see arabic values in debugging I am able to see arabic text perfectly , but when I give print or Print Preview arabic text printing as with some JUNK arabic characters , it's not printing as word.
Please help me on this

I am facing exactly the same problem with printing arabic text in samrtforms. I guess you the Device type in the printer settings would be set to either ARSWIN. Try changing it to I6SWIN and it should work to some extent. The arabic words should come up correctly in the print ( not in print preview). However it would print # in the start and end of the form. This is not acceptable in my case and I am still looking for a better solution. See if it helps you in some way.

Hi,
Download the OS for the carrier and use Application loader inside the Desktop manager software (that came with the Box) and select Arabic with the language options (if that is an option).
Alternatively you could install the OS from an Arabic carrier (involves deleting the vendor.xml file), but its not recommended....
This is the instructions from my website (the short version):
Get an OS from here:http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
The Operating system software downloaded from the Blackberry website contains all the files required to reload the O/S.
The Desktop Manager software is NOT required!
Once downloaded and installed, follow these directions:
Download the OS file from your carrier website to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.
The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization." If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

I installed all the patched mentioned in the note (Apply forms version 10.1.2.2.0 with the forms patch 7488328 , Apply patch 7207440:R12.TXK.A , Apply patch 7601624 - NEW PROFILE OPTION: FORMS DIGIT SUBSTITUTION)
These patches add the Profile option (FORMS DIGIT SUBSTITUTION) , but when i try to used it has no effect at all .
So kindly if you have any idea about this issue please help me.

I'm having trouble writing titles in X. I dont' see a text box where the online advice says I should. All I see is how to change the font, size etc

First select the title you have connected to the clip:
Before selecting the clip, there is 'nothing to inspect' shown in the inspector window. But after selecting the title:
you will find the data on the inspector window.
Next place your cursor on the empty box that shows up in the viewer and double click. As I had already entered my text, I placed my cursor on the green colored text 'exercise' and double clicked on it:
When you double click, the box gets highlighted and at the same time you will also have the dialog box opened up in the inspector window. You can add text either in the viewer or in the inspector window.
