  • Back Dated AR Aging Detail - How to see Documents with Open Balances Only?

    Dear All,
Our customer is trying to submit a back dated AR Aging Detail report to their bank. When they run the report as of 09/30/08, the detailed aging report is 28 pages long and has all the partial payment details which the bank does not need; rendering the report useless.
We would like to find out if there is a way to run a back dated AR Aging Detail report and only see Document Number, Date and Open Balance.

    Hi,
Please check Note No. [800294|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1odSZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=800294] which describes about settings required to run the backdated aging report in 2005 version.
If you are working with 2007 version, then you need to check the tickbox "Display customer with zero balance" and run the backdated aging report to get the correct results with the open figure (which will match with the AR receivables Account balance as at that date).
However, if your 2007 version is below patch level 38, you can refer to Note No. [1178854|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1odSZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1178854] which can be of help in that case.
    Hope the information was helpful.

  • How to see document file name with full path when hovering mouse over title bar?

    Using PS CS6, Windows 7 x64.
I was under the impression that when hovering my mouse over the document title bar, I would see a tooltip showing the full file name, including the path.  This isn't happening and I'm wondering if there is a way to do this.  I know I can click File > Save As, or Ctrl+Shift-S to see the full path, but hoving over the title bar would be easier.  (What I am seeing now in the tooltip is the file name, % magnification and which layer I have selected.  Basically, the tooltip is just showing what's in the title bar without hovering.)
    Thank you!
    John

Hm, I wonder if it's something they may have enabled only for the Cloud version (I have 13.1.2).  If so, I didn't notice the change at the time of the upgrade.
Nope, it's not that - I have a virtual machine for testing with 13.0.1 installed...  This is what I see there:

  • How to see documents checked-in to SAP Content Server ?

    Hi ,
I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this question but I did not find anything more pertinent.
We have a scenario in ECC 5.0 which we are attaching PDF/etc document to SAP DMS Document records in Tcode CV01N/CV02N . Subsequently we check-in those originals to the SAP Content Server. All this is working just fine as the underlying settings for the content repository in Tcode CSADMIN is appropriately set.
Is there a way to monitor how many and which documents have been checked in to the SAP COntent server. In the 46C/47 days, we used to go to Tcode OAAD and get a count & list of all documents that have been shipped to a content repository. In the scenario for SAP Content server, I'm unable to use this tcode to get the information.
Is there another tcode that will give me the information on the documents linked to the Content Server ?
    Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Vipin

  • How to see the change logs for billing document

    Dears,
Could you please how to see the change logs for billing document.
My client is using ECC 6.0 & if i use VF03 > Environment > changes > does not show the changes i had made.
    Thanks in advance
    Ranjan

    hello, friend.
you should be able to see changes done after the initial creation and saving, by going thru Environment > Changes.  try it again, and this time make sure that changes were done to the billing document prior to posting to accounting.
normally, when configuration of Billing is done correctly, there will be little or no instances of changing anything in the Billing document,  as saving the document after creation will post this to Accounting.  of course, inclusion of a posting block in the billing type will provide you the opportunity for changes.
    regards.

  • How to see the material document for Blocked stock

    Hello Experts
I having some blocked stock in plant X , How to see the material document for this stock.
    Thanks in Advance

which material documents do you want to see?
Material documents can be found and displayed in MB51 transaction.
in MMBE you can put the cursor onto your stock line and then choose from menu Environment > material documents and SAP will list all relevant material documents.
block stock status is not a selection criteria, material number, plant storage location, batch number are selection criterias.
if you want only documents to block stock, then you need to select by movement type, e.g. 343 and 344 are movements that change status from unrestricted to blocked or vica versa.

  • How to see configuration at top of word documents

The configuration lines that used to appear at the top of the rules documents are missing for some of our rules documents.
They are the text that had the grey background that is created during a compile.
How do we get that back?
    Thank you in advance

That explains it then. Either the variable declarations never existed in the Word doc in the first place (i.e. they were declared straight into the Properties file), in which case you won't see them in the Word doc. Or they were declared in the Word doc at some point in the past, moved into the Properties file at a later point and then manually removed from the Word doc.
Either way, you won't see the declarations in the Word doc. They aren't hidden, they just aren't there. There's no need for declarations to exist in the Word doc if they are in the Properties file. The declarations in the Word doc are basically redundant once those variables are in the Properties file. It doesn't hurt to leave them in the Word doc, even if they have been put in the Properties file as well, but it's not necessary.
When I read your first post I had thought the declarations were present but hidden (i.e. the Hidden Text setting was turned off), but actually it sounds like they're just not there.
Were you asking about how to see the configuration lines because you thought there was something wrong with your Word doc? If so, then I think you probably don't need to worry about it because it sounds like the Word doc is fine. If all the variables have been declared in the Properties file, then I assume the document Compiles/Builds fine?

    Hi
    Eexperts
I posted payment document Fica to fico, now i want to know recon key through taht doc no how it is possible?
    abasha

    Hi,
To further clarify Harsha's point about the reference key, the Recon Key is part of the the Reference Key, i..e. it is embedded in the Reference Key, the first 12 characters of the Reference Key is the recon Key.
IS-U transaction FPG1 shows the linkage between the the FI-CA documents and the GL Documents (for a different view).

    Dear Sreeni,
Just go to J1IIN, click on "Exc.inv for delivery -- Display" where you input delivery reference and execute. If you have generated excise invoice, you can see the corresponding excise invoice for that delivery / billing document.

  • [Java and all else] How do you document DB design?

    Hello,
Although most of the technical choices are explicit in SQL (UniqueKey & ForeignKey constraints, indexes,...), the semantics of the data columns and their constraints seem better served as plain human-readable comments ("ID column: identifies the plane copy; 6 figures are enough as we don't expect to sell more than 1 million planes in a foreseeable future...").
In my current system, (EJB-based, but the DB schema is not created by the JPA-compliant ORM, but via SQL scripts), I see the following ways to write and maintain this documentation:
    - SQL comments in the schema creation and patch scripts
    - Javadoc comments in the Java source of the Entity classes.
    - UML notes in UML diagrams(1)
    - external "Architecture and design" document.
All 4 of them are used, sometimes inconsistently, for various parts of the design choices; I mean, the docs do not contradict themselves (not yet, but it's a mere question of time), but some tables are commented in SQL scripts, others are in design docs, and the details for some columns are in entity javadocs. Although each developer may find it handier to "write" the doc via his preferred medium, it becomes increasingly difficult to "maintain" theoverall documentation.
Our current situation is that most of the project team members are Java developers, so it would probably be better accepted and served if we standardized that we document DB tables and columns in Java source, but I am worried that:
    - someone else pouring over our DB (ex: DBA helping us to optimize things, or other team developping a data-mining tool to leverage the historical data in DB) may not be as comfortable with Java
    - this may not cover all design choices of the DB schema:
    - - - - first, although that is the case currently, in the future there might not be a 100% 1-1 mapping between e.g. each entity class and a DB table. Maybe some columns will not need to be mapped anymore,...
    - - - - second, I fear some DB constructs are not amenable to Java counterparts; no accurate idea there, I'm not an SQL nor JPA expert, but I presume Indexes, table partitioning, tablespaces, for example (yes, the DBMS is Oracle :o) are not taken into account in JPA mapping.
And if we document those choices at the SQL level (my preferred idea so far), this will gradually make the javadocs in the entities obsolete, or removed altogether, and that will make future maintenance of the Java source risky.
How do you document your DB design in general?
Do you have specific advices for my case?
    Thanks in advance,
    J.
    (1) Just for the record, here are a few posts that refer to modelling the DB in UML:
[A post on this forum highlighting that UML 1.4 standardizes a notation for RDB modelling|http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1383724#1383724]
[A DB modelling tutorial|http://www.tomjewett.com/dbdesign/dbdesign.php] (not sure whether it leverages the standard mentioned above :o)
P.S.: "Java and all else" as in, damn, I'd love to use the familiar JDC forums and people to discuss not only Java-related issues, but also [all other things that surround Java|http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5422264&tstart=0] (other technologies, processes, people) and enable to make workable systems out of Java code.

    Thank you again.
    A couple more questions:
    2. Table, and proc dictionary maintained as one or more text files. Those files and schema are all in source control.Do you mean, a proprietary text format (a la tabledesign.txt), or +.sql+ source files? Again, you seem to suggest the scehma info is present in two locations.I didn't say two locations unless you meant files. Then yes.Yes I meant two files. I trust the team to get the doc file lagging a few revisions behind the SQL file, and to correct that I would have to include one more step in the review process (e.g. "review CM actions to check that the doc file is updated consistently with the SQL source").
The tool I wrote would throw errors if the comment file didn't match the schema. And if comments were not provided. That of course doesn't stop someone from documenting a table with "a table".
You can of course keep the addtional info as special comments in the SQL, but when I did this, and even in retrospect, it seems better and perhaps easier to keep them seperate. I have done special comments in SQL before and it seems a bit of a kluge but you do have the single source. But in that case I was the only one maintaining it too. What do you mean by "special"?For code generation I have a schema file with the following (pseudo sql.)
        create mytable
           mytable_id int,
           column_foo varchar(10);
           column_fum varchar(20)
            -- Query: for_a_query (column_foo, column_fum)
)The generator consumes the schema and generates the standard CRUD which would include a query based on the primary key.
The above comment is used to provide an additional query where the proc is named 'for_a_query' (munged with table name) and takes two parameters (column_foo, column_fum) whose type/name matches those of the table.
If we don't try to generate a browseable HTML out of the schema (although the idea is appealing, I don't have the resource to make such a tool), do you see anything kludgy in maintaining SQL comments interpersed within DDL code?
    Of course that is doable.
