How to see & manage adds-in in Firefox for tablet?

I don't see where to check which application add-ins are active and which version.

The Add-on Bar gives you quick access to add-on features.

If you don't have any add-ons that use the Add-on Bar, it won't be shown by default but you can easily show or hide it whenever you want.
To show or hide the Add-on Bar, right-click on an empty section of the Tab Strip and check or uncheck it in the pop-up menu.
If the Add-on Bar is open already, you can close it by clicking on the close icon on the bar itself.
You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + /.

How does one manage these new render setting for previews?

I placed 4 HD clips from a nested into a sequence 5800 x 768 to mimic 4 side by side monitors for a multi channel video. Each clip cut from the sequence are at 1280x720 all sitting side by side. However when I rendered the previews, they came look all squished. However when I exported the frame it looks fine in Photoshop. (I changed the uploaded image to what it looks like in Premiere in Photoshop to demonstrate the appearance in Premiere.)
I imagine that the distortion has to do with the sequence render setting which for some reason comes out to 1918 x 253...or the pixel aspect ratio? How does one manage these new render setting for previews so it looks normal in the monitor?


Either way, I thought that this format would be a great way to view on the monitor 4 channels at the same time. I may need to place them on a “normal” 1440 x 1080 sequence in a line, bringing them down to 25% scale to make it work in the end. I did just try that. I think it will work...but when I imported and nested the old file, the scratch disks changed from the original set up on a D drive back to the main hard drive so I had to change it agin. Otherwise it works fine...so I’ll go with this for now

How do i setup personal settings in firefox for more than one user? each one seperate from the other.

Hi. I want to set a non-Google search engine as the default in Firefox on Android. I have installed the search engine as an add-on and it is working fine, but I would like to use it as the default search, rather than having to select it each time.

How do I disable the tab with 'Firefox for Android' advertisement ? It is freaking me out

Every time I open the Firefox browser, a new tab opens up with the ad suggesting me to try Firefox for android mobile. This is additional tab along with my regular home tab. My browser version is Firefox funnel cake 22.0 . It is freaking me out as this happens every time I open the browser. Provide me a solution or tell me to switch to a different browser. I mean who is the dumb idiot who suggested this idea ? Really ?? you want the add to stay there and irritate users everytime they open it ?

Try to change your new tab by going to about:config, and in that address bar type in browser.newtab.url, right click it, and then hit modify. There will be a window that pops up that will let you type in the address you want to show up in your new tabs. There also might be a warning when going to about:config, but just accept it if it's there.

How to create a keyboard shortcut in firefox for email link

I would like to create a keyboard shortcut for firefox for the EMail Link menu item. I specified shift-Command-S as the keyboard shortcut. When I hit the key sequence the File on the menubar flashes but the Email Link window never opens. Does anyone have a clue as to what I need to do to get this to work or is there a reason it doesn't work. I do use Outlook for my mail client. That shouldn't be a problem because when I manually select EMail Link from the File menu Outlook is properly used.

as an app, put it on the Dock, and click it to activate it. However, seems simpler just to put the FF icon on the Dock and a single click launches it. Why would you want a service or AS to do the same thing?

it's possible. i did it myself, after a few tryouts.
i still can't get the best result, but i got something.
first of all you have to save the streaming file(thru the save as qt movie, from CTRL-click). when you get a stream it gets cached on your computer. you might playback it even when offline. so if all that you need is a simple playback, that's ok. but it's a cache, sometime the system will erase it from your HD.
if you want to keep it as a qt file(or any other format) thats this is the deal. when you save the stream file, it saves a reference file(4kb) that reads the cache. you cannot recover them from the cache, not even by changing the termination, because the qt player won't recognize the .qtch files transformed into .mov.
open the file(reference you saved before), choose export from the file menu, and choose the setting that you want. i still don't get a good quality(i know it's incredible that a stream file has a better quality...) and i still have to export the video separated from the audio. but if you need only the moving image to edit a homevideo, and your only source is a stream, it's a start.
so if anyone feel like growing the knowledge tree, let's go ahead.

I'd like to make a suggestion to Firefox for tablets

I have been a long time user of FireFox on my PC's, and truly love it. It is stable and all in all concrete, no matter the update. But when I surf the web on my iPad I use a browser called Mercury. What is great about Mercury, is you can activate a side tool bar that can be moved around the screen. For example, I am right handed, and when I hold my pad, my hands generally sit around the middle edge of the screen. By activating the side tool bar, I have the back, close tab and refresh buttons right there at my right thumb. This is great, so that if I'm refreshing a forum page, I don't have to constantly go to the top of the page. Or if I'm finished reading an article, I can click the close tab button, taking me back to my main forum page (I open threads in separate tabs).
Well, as of yesterday, I have purchased and started using the Lenovo Helix, with Windows 8, and of course the first program I installed on my new laptop/tablet was Firefox. I even began using sync for the very first time ever between the tablet and my PC (amazing feature! Great work folks!). But I have to reach to the top of the page each time I want to refresh, go back or close a tab. Again, I'll make concessions because this is Firefox and I'm a huge fan, but I thought if I could give a suggestion it would be to include the ability to turn on a side bar, like Mercury for when people use these devices in tablet mode.
Just so you know, with a bit of playing I made a few changes that do help. By customizing the tool bar, I moved the forward and back buttons, the refresh and stop buttons to the bottom right hand corner of the page, in the add-on's bar. This is much more efficient, but still, having those icons at my thumb in the middle of the page would be great! If you have an iPad available, I'd install Mercury to see what I'm talking about. I wouldn't steal the idea, but designing something similar that would function in Windows would be great.
Oh and if this is something worth considering, don't forget to make that bar adjustable. Not only can I pick what side of the screen it goes on, I can slide it up and down on either side, so if I'm laying in bed, with my arms resting at my sides, I can move the bar down to better accommodate my reading. Either way, keep up the amazing work FireFox. I really love the browser!

How to see and add usernames from other forest in User Profile Synchronization

    Using Sharepoint 2010 Server there are 2 forests each containing their
domain users, lets call them Forest1/Domain1 and Forest2/Domain2 and their
is a one-way trust relationship between the two forests.
    The users are in Forest2/Domain2 but Sharepoint is on Forest1/Domain1. The
only way I have been able to add the users from Forest2\Domain2 to the Forest1\Domain1
has been to create a domain local group and an OU in Forest1\Domain1 and then put the
domain local group into the OU so that I can perform a UPS Synchronization on those
users (I also create a group on the Sharepoint 2010 Server add the users there too).
    The problem is that when I run the UPS Synchronization I can select the
checkbox for the domain local group but the individual usernames are not displayed in the
Synchronization process of populate container.
    The only names that get Synchronized are the Sharepoint Service Accounts and
the usernames that were created in Forest1\Domain1 AD.
    Consequently when users in Forest2\Domain2 logon they can access the intranet web appl
in Forest1\Domain1 by entering the url in the address box, but they cannot create a
My Site when the click their username because they get an error stating:
    "This page can't be displayed".
    But username created in Forest1\Domain1 can access the intranet web appl and
can create a My Site.
    I noticed that the difference is when users from Forest2\Domain2 get the error message
in the address box I see the My site url but it is missing "default.aspx" page which is
the page that contains My Content and My Profile and is the page that can't be displayed.
    But the users from Forest1\Domain1 have the My Site url in the address box with
"default.aspx" appended and therefore can create their My Site.
    The other problem is that when I go to the My Site url page and I go to People
and groups, I can add the OU that was Synchronized but I guess since I didn't see the
individual usernames I can't add the users from Forest2\Domain2 from the people picker
because the people picker error says:
   "no match found".
    But the people picker finds the users created in Forest1\Domain1.
    How do I make usernames visible when Synchronizing those usernames in the UPS Synchronization
process and be able to find them in people picker?

Sorry for the delayed reply. If you go to the Preferences, you should see new options for each add-on. Let me know which add-ons your using (I don't see any installed in your system data).
When you find an add-on using the search on the Add-ons screen, you need to tap it and then an Add to Firefox button will appear. Tap the Add to Firefox button to install it. Then, you should get additional items listed on the Preferences screen.

Hi I have a problem. My businesswebsite www.steunkousgemak.nl was hacked and the hacker placed mallware on it. My link on google had a warning and when you wanted to visit my site on firefox there was a red warning page. I made a new website so it's deffinately clean, moved it to a different server and have a new hostingpackage. Now I am wondering if firefox automaticly saved the warning for all visitors that where on my website when it was infected, and so that they still see the warning when they want to visit my site now? if yes, how can I solve this?thank you a lot for your answer!regards Steven

Try clearing your browser cache.
Tools > Clear Recent History... - hit Details and make sure only Cache is selected, then select Everything and hit the Clear Now button.

Do I need to add anything to firefox for Instant Messaging?

*Does this happen in all chat messengers?
*Are you using a proxy for your internet browsing? If so check to see if IM is blocked here as well.

How do I manage the amount of space for back up on a timecapsule

I have a 1GB time capsule that is stating that it is full. I only use it for back up of my macbook. I want to add a pc to it for backup purposes. Is there a way to manage the amount of space one user uses?

First, you'll need some sort of app on the PC to do backups to a network location.
Second, mixing Time Machine backups and other data on the TC's internal HD presents some conflicts. See #Q3 in Using Time Machine with a Time Capsule for details and some possible workarounds. Your easiest option is to connect a USB drive to the TC and back the PC up to it.
If you still want to do both backups to the TC's internal HD, you have two unattractive options:
Erase the TC's internal HD, and let Time Machine start fresh.
Manually delete a lot of old Time Machine backups to make room for the PC backups. See #12 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions and don't miss the pink box there.

inside, for Transaction Key BSX -- If i double click on inventory management ---Those entries are deleted ...then how can i regain or see those entries and corresponding G/L accounts for it...

Why dont you reassign GL Accounts and Valuation Classes.
You can reassign them by checking in GL master ie FS00 & Valuation classes ie OMSK.
If you dont know the procedure take FI/CO guys help.
There is no other option.
